Do you really think people in the music business are provided "loaner" CDs of new unreleased music? How naive are you? This music was played in a room with either her and or her people IN THE ROOM. There is no opportunity to pirate CDs and send them off on the internet or copies to burn for other people. Artists have a hard enough time selling records as it is---they sure aren't giving it away months before its released.
Um... then why did you say that you only saw track numbers instead of track names? Did they distribute a piece of paper with track numbers on them? Did they have a powerpoint presentation with track numbers on them? This part of your fictional story does not jibe.
And I thought you listened to this thing several times. So you have so much free time that you kept going to this listening room? Repeatedly?

I reported FM77 because of the CONTEXT in which the word was used. Yes, we've used that word here from time to time, but FM77's use of it was clearly abusive and over the line in my opinion. That's why I reported that person and I stand by it. BTW notice that in that person's 2 recent posts, they didnt issue any kind of apology whatsoever?

There was a jewel case with only track numbers sitting on the table. This contained the disk that was played for the group. I heard the disk on two seperate occasions--with different people listening. I said I heard the disk in its entirety 3-4 times. Some songs were played again, out of disk order. The disk was NEVER in my personal possession. I was INVITED to listen. Wouldn't you make the time to listen to a new record by Dave Stewart and Stevie Nicks????????

I think if i had the chance to listen to this album and the number of times I had heard it was only in the single digits I would remember precisely how many times I had heard it instead of an estimate of '3-4 times"I am also pushing 50 with a bad case of life long ADHD but I know for certain I would recall the songs and details about them vividly after hearing it only once.

The web of lies becomes even more elaborate. A jewel case with only track numbers. Brilliant! So "several times" is now "two separate occasions." It's one thing to lie, but it's another thing to keep your story consistent. Nice try.

I'm not interested in this arguing and bickering. This thread is getting all spammed out, and is becoming a bummer. If someone does not believe a certain poster, then simply ignore them.
"In Your Dreams" will be out before we know it. The track list will be unveiled in a couple of months if not sooner. For reference TISL was released May 1st. 2001, The official track list for which was unveiled Feb 27th, 2001 on Launch.com which is now new.music.yahoo.com.
In addition Stevie is certain to be giving countless interviews closer to the Heart & Soul kick-off date March 20th, as well as local press in each city - dropping more morsels of In Your Dreams than we can even handle. Half the excitement of a new record is the few months before it's release - The Speculation & The Rumors. Lets get this thread back on track.

I'm thick skinned to say the least so the name calling is laughable to me..however if you were at all in earnest to share what you know, that is if you indeed know anythig more than what the rest of us know, the appropriate thing to do after having heard the album a few times would be to post a track by track review even if you can't don't know specific titles.I would think even a casual fan would be able to do this.

Not one person asked for a track by track review that I saw. They kept asking for the vault/tracks titles which I do not know.

Dude, I have said over and over there are songs that ARE NOT ON THE RECORD...people kept listing lyrics and titles and I get FLAMED for it because I tell them they aren't on the record. Isn't that information about the record?
When the record gets relseaed, check every song I said WAS NOT on the record (Lady from the Mtn, Blue Water etc...and show me where I was wrong or misleading.
Hey, I'm not the one attacking you. You keep digging a hole for yourself. There's nothing that needs to be said about it any further from me.

I totally agree. He needs to start a new thread and treat everyone who wants follow his BS. Frankly, his comments were getting boring me and I stopped reading them. Besides, positive or negative, he's getting the attention he wants (Yawn...). This is my last comment regarding him. I'm not wasting my time. :p

FM77, I just want to say 'thank you' for posting whatever information you recall about the cd. I considered it a fun peak into the album, and you did write you loved the overall sound of what you heard, her vocals, the guitar-heavy tracks- thanks.
That you don't know the track titles isn't something that should be held against you, my goodness. You shared what you thought, and what you knew. I don't think people are really mad over any language you may have used out of frustration- I think we all would have loved to have heard the cd in December, but you were the one who did, and I think that is the source of some people's vitriol. It's the green-eyed monster, really, and does not represent the good traits of those tweaked that you had the pleasure we did not. I'm glad someone got an early listen to it and shared what they thought!
I have never commented to you before, and I don't want you to think everyone is ungrateful, I appreciated the information.
Should you have any details that you are able to share beyond what you already have, I, for one, would be happy, and interested, to read whatever you write.
I understand that being trusted for your discretion and propriety regarding the work was likely why you were invited to hear the music in advance.
Take care.

I don't post much either and because of that it was suggested that when I did yesterday and in defending FM77, that perhaps we were scheming something.
I felt exactly the same way that you did and didn't think it was fair. That is why I had to speak up.

Just thought about something. Perhaps none of us have heard the other demo song(s) ? Didn't Stevie herself say a tape was misplaced ? She also said something in the article about Fleetwood Mac would have used it had she not misplaced it. Since that is the case.. couldn't we be in store for a lot of new (older) Stevie songs even after this album?

I think it was likely "Secret Love" that she was referring to..but if there some lost song that none of us have heard and was good enough to have been on Rumours or Tusk then that woulld be incredible..not holding my breath though.

Does anyone remember the time frame for when we first got a track list and glimpse of the album cover for TISL? And does anyone remember where or who it was that we got this information from?
I ask because I'm hoping we hear/see something soon. We got an info overload on "In Your Dreams" in those few days back on the 12th - 14th. Album title, release date, 1st single, a few new photos, etc. It was extremely exciting but we haven't heard much of anything new since. Yes, I'm spoiled. I want more info now! ;)

Stevie press releases announcing TISL started off with a blurb on RS.com Feb. 10th 2001, followed by few other mentions in various music sites. Then a big Billboard interview w/ Stevie was published Feb.17th, mentioning a few titles which focused mostly on the high profile collaborations, and the article also talked up Reprise's marketing strategy. The official track list for TISL was unveiled Feb 27th, 2001 on Launch.com - which is now new.music.yahoo.com. This most likely came about because Reprise hosted an album showcase in L.A. as well as playback-listening parties in New York & Chicago to music industry insiders and press as part of their initial marketing strategy.
I'm sure 10 years later, with leaks being a huge concern, Reprise & Stevie will be much more restrictive about printing and distributing full promo disc's of In Your Dreams to music press and radio. As mentioned many times on The Ledge, all of the songs on TISL pretty much leaked before the May 1st release. You could go on Ebay in March or April of 01' and bid on a full advance promo of TISL. I had the promo in my hands 3 weeks before the release date. I did buy the CD the day of release at Tower records. I remember it was so exciting, cause they were also giving away a limited edition promo poster with each purchase while supplies lasted. That was a very cool poster.:D Exciting times! I sure hope Reprise offer something special again, similiar to the litho and such when ordering through WBR directly.

for laughs, I visited the NicksFix the other day. When I scrolled on the pic of Stevie on the beach with that weird mirror in front of her, a got an 'album cover" pop up message. My heart instantly sank. I'm afraid that may be it...though amazon is still posting "artwork unavailable" so maybe there's hope. While that photo is interesting and somewhat cool, it certaintly is not cover worthy.

I agree totally! As I've said before, if this is the cover, this will be the 1st album cover of Stevie's I actually dislike and I'm holding back. I'm not impressed with either of the new photo's particularly. There must be better ones out of the hundreds he's reported as taken.

I think both photos are excellent. I sorta hope she chooses the one with the frame. It's different. I don't think Stevie has ever had a bad album cover. Certainly, TISL and The Wild Heart are two of the best album covers ever. TISL in particular. She should of won a grammy for that. :)

Remember back in early 2001 when it was "reported/posted" that the TISL album cover was going to be the one of her sitting cross legged with her profile? THANK GOD that didn't prove to be true. I think it's a pretty picture but the way she's sitting doesn't make her body look right. Her head looks too big. I'm glad that was scrapped.
So who knows, we might get something for the IYD album cover that will be a surprise and totally amaze us! Here's hoping!

I agree. The shot of the mirror is intriguing, mysterious, surreal... It's a visual riddle that bears scrutiny. It is dream-like, and in your dreams, the laws of physics and light refraction do not apply. I just hope they don't clutter it up with typeface and leave the cover barren ala Lindsey's Out of the Cradle.

I think it's most uninteresting, You barley see Stevie's face, and her image appears to be a bit on the blurry side. I like the beach, I like mirror, but If they were aiming for a surreal/Salvador Dalí-esque effect there needed much more mystery. The stranger the better!. The best parts of Stevie's solo album cover have centered around her unusual & in your face full body poses except for Street Angel. And I even prefer that image over the lifeless image portrayed in the mirror, in the beach... or visa versa. This is Stevie's *dreamy* album. They could have gone in all sorts of directions, and I hope they did conjure up a similiar theme/riddle with a much better shot of Stevie. Cause IMHO this one s**ks. If there is a better image in the liner notes, I will be folding that over to cover this awful cover.

I really like the mirror shot, too. It's very old-school Stevie... reminds me very much of the photos from the Rock A Little era. I have a feeling we haven't seen the pic of what will end up being the album cover, though. I think it's still too soon, and Dave will surprise us with something even better. But if the mirror shot ended up being the cover, I'd have no qualms with that at ALL

I sorta have the feeling that, if one of those images were the front of the CD, Dave would have made a huge deal about it on Twitter.
I'm thinking the album cover will follow the blue/brown/green colour scheme though, which is awesome, cause they are two gorgeous pictures, but neither of them scream "album cover" to me.

Pretty colours, too: pale greys, blues, & browns.
But I think the surf should be more dramatic. That surf is the typical Southern CA surf, far too placid. I'm thinking of something more like this:

"Cheaper Than Free" (her non "Nashville" version) & "Everybody Loves You". I wish she would have left CTF just for his record. Just heard the additional verses from Dave's Blackbird Diaries version and I find myself stymied. Unless I'm missing something, this song does not scream "Have to have this on my record". At first I was unsure about the mirror/beach picture for the album cover to In Your Dreams, but now I like it.
It occurs to me that this isn't a simple picture. Something is a bit off with it....notice that you see a beach in front of you (off to the left) and you're looking at a mirror. So the image in the mirror ought to be what's *behind* you, as you're looking straight ahead. What you actually see is Stevie of course but more importantly you see the **same beach as what you're seeing ahead of you**. That adds a depth of eeriness to the picture, a bit of unreality, and it takes looking at the photo awhile until you realize it.

Having gone back and read posts, here are my thoughts:
I really doubt that the Twilight and New Orleans songs are the same song, as someone speculated. The New Orleans song has nothing to do with vampires, it is about Katrina. There was an interview where Stevie said that the New Orleans song isn't a sad song but rather a happy one, that she felt that the people of New Orleans needed something uplifting.
I would agree with people that are chagrined that "Cheaper Than Free" bumped another song off the record. My feeling is that we can get "Cheaper Than Free" via Dave's album, so there's no need to repeat it on Stevie's.
From the comments I've seen of David Wild's and other people, "Italian Summer" is supposed to be one of those really great Stevie songs, and apparently "In Your Dreams" is catchy enough that it may be a future single. Add in the already released "Secret Love", which I think is great, and that's at least 3 really good songs on this upcoming release.
My initial and unfair reaction when I first heard that Dave Stewart was going to produce a Stevie Nicks album was to think "ugh, what will that be? some kind of throw-away synth album?" It's turning out to be quite the opposite and I'm very excited to hear this record.

Sooooo...if they recorded 14 tracks, then added "Cheaper Than Free" that means 2 tracks have been kicked off the record. I wonder if we'll see them as bonus tracks on something (movie soundtrack, single B-side, etc).

Sooooo...if they recorded 14 tracks, then added "Cheaper Than Free" that means 2 tracks have been kicked off the record. I wonder if we'll see them as bonus tracks on something (movie soundtrack, single B-side, etc).
Dave did say something to the effect of "we love them all so much, we will find a way to release them all somehow!" My hope is that the "Twilight" song was pitched for the newest Twilight movie, and will therefore be on that soundtrack and not Stevie's album. I hope this bumped them down to 13 songs and that made Stevie want to put Cheaper Than Free on her album bringing us back to 14. But then after several listens, they felt Cheaper Than Free need not be on it, so they dropped it too! In my dreams tho, right?. :(
Romper Room Magic Mirror?
I see Alice and Jane and Juliet and Sara...and Happy Birthday, Mabel Normand and Greta...I will see you next time...on the other side of the mirror...

You're only showing 5-6 Dave Stewart collaborations. The RS article said 7 were on the album.
I'm hoping that the cut track was one of the Mike Campbell collabs. The less Mike Campbell, the better!

Who said the "album" version is longer? I thought that was just speculation because the song is short. The more I listen to the song, I'm liking the length. Everything about it is perfect. Much better than the demo, but still true to the demo.
Now bring on Annabel Lee ...Always liked the demo & can only imagine how flippin' fantastic it turned out in the studio with Dave & Glen.

Not to compare the two (because it's like apples and oranges) but I remember Speilberg, Lucas and a host of Movie Industry insiders saying that "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was the best Indy film yet...and look what happened there. Sometimes I think these folks want to get us excited because they know they're working on a crappy product.

all the pages of this thread (Sorry) but is the completed track "My Love" from the TISL Sessions (Leaked on the bootleg "TISL Final Mixes" CDR and the "TISL Acetate" that surfaced in Germany years ago) one of the tracks rumored to be on the new release? (I saw the discussion of it on the first page)
Sounds along the lines of a "Campbell/Nicks" composition:

A few of the songs had slightly different mixes as well. Here is the track listing for the extended CD that several people got in 2000:
01. Trouble in Shangri-La
02. Candlebright
03. That Made Me Stronger
04. Sorcerer
05. Planets of the Universe
06. It's Only Love
07. Everyday (missing a few overdubs)
08. Bombay Sapphires (alternate version)
09. Love Changes
10. Too Far From Texas
11. I Miss You (different mix)
12. Fall From Grace
13. Thrown Down
14. My Heart
15. Touched By An Angel
16. Love Is
under various 'bootleg' names, the usual one is "TISL Final Mixes", but it is the same one you listed here...One of the problems with the FM/SN bootlegs (Moreso the studio demos/outtakes than live recordings), sometimes stuff gets rehashed/renamed for unknown reasons to make it appear as something new.

06. Storms (w/Mick, Stevie, Tom and Welch)

You are right. No one even mentioned Secret Love at all. Artist have the final say on what track is released first anymore. Stevie chose this single to release first. I wonder if it's because it is old and something that she is the only songwriter on. It does make you wonder you about the album though. I like this song, but if this is truly the best on the album, then the album can't be that great. I actually like Cheaper then Free a little better than this though because of the vocal and lyrics. Still, Secret Love is a good release, just not one that says Buy Me.

What I meant in my post is that since no one that has actually heard the album even mentioned "Secret Love" as a stand out track it leads me to believe that there are quite a few stronger tracks on the album.Like you mentioned in an earlier post if Secret Love is only a middling track on the album then "In Your Dream"really could rival Bella Donna.

I would not put this record ahead of Bella Donna--but it is ahead of everything she put out after Wild Heart for sure. It is the first record however, that shows Stevie has grown as an artist in some way. Maybe Dave gets credit for that encouraging her to co-write like in the same room. I think the critics will/have recognized that and that's what they are excited about.

Huh? You missed the point entirely. So you are already prepared to dismiss an entire you haven't heard? All based on one song? It just happens to be the one they are leading with. You are thinking way too much about it. Reserve the critical presumtions, and just wait for the album to come out. Preferences are subjective and change over time. Songs don't have to say 'Buy me."

That movie was way over the top but it was a good movie, especially compared the crap they put out today. They don't make great movies anymore. The movies that are nominated for oscars are good, but back in the day, they would not get nominated for anything.
Of course this is NOT her best album ever. There is no way in hell she will ever have another Bella Donna. That album was perfect gem. However, she can have a good album and at least show some growth as an artist or do something different. In my opinion, she stopped creatively at the Wild Heart. That was the last creative risk she has taken and her last successful album creatively. Her latter albums have failed. I'm hoping that this album will be the atmospheric, romance record that she has always wanted to make. The Other Side of Mirror was a failure and I'm sure that is what she wanted to do with that record. Street Angel was a complete flop too and I think that is what she wanted to do with that record. The material for this album does seem a lot stronger and the production is more lush and a lot sweeter. Here's to hoping....

No I am not ready to dismiss the album entirely. I like Secret Love a lot but I also know that Stevie is a terrible decision maker. I played the song for my brother and he shrugged and saids it was ok, but its not a hit. I think Secret Love got released because it's AC and it was written totally by her and she liked that. The production on the song does not sound cheap. A lot of thought went it into and it keeps the song dramatic and interesting for such a simple song. I think the album is going to be a winner but I don't think people are going to rush out and buy it for that single. That's all I'm saying. I have only liked two of Stevie's solo album, Bella Donna and The Wild Heart. I really believe that this is album will the third.

We also don't know which songs were cut. My guess tho is that a Nicks-Stewart collab was replaced by Cheaper Than Free and this is my breakdown of who wrote what:
Stevie Nicks
1. Secret Love
2. Annabel Lee
3. The Soldier's Angel
4. Moonlight- A Vampire's Dream
5. "New Orleans Song"
Nicks and Mike Campbell
6. For What It's Worth
Nicks and Dave Stewart
7. The Ghosts Are Gone
8. Italian Summer
9. Everybody Loves You
10. Cheaper Than Free
11. In Your Dreams
12. "Wide Sargasso Sea"
13. Unknown
And at least one additional song was recorded and then cut, but there could be two, assuming the original 14 tracks they spoke of did not include Cheaper Than Free. One of the cut songs has to be a Mike Campbell song in order for Dave to have co-written 7 of them. Unless of course they cut the New Orleans song or Soldier's Angel.

STEVIE NICKS got lucky when she signed up talented Brit DAVE STEWART as a collaborator on her first new album in a decade - the former EURYTHMICS star also insisted on creating the cover art too.
Stewart, a keen photographer, took snaps of the Fleetwood MAC singer while they were working on material for In Your Dreams - and Nicks was so impressed with his arty shots she insisted on using them.
A mirror image beach shot Stewart took is the artwork for the album's first single Secret Love, and more is to come.

6. For What It's Worth (Nicks-Campbell)
7. Cheaper Than Free (Nicks-Stewart)
8. In Your Dreams (Nicks-Stewart?)
9. Secret Love (Nicks) - First single

11. Lady From The Mountains (Nicks)

13. Title not yet known - New Orleans song (Nicks)
Did Stevie confirm that the New Orleans song is on this album? If so, then I think we may have our track listing! Minus two titles. Although, I'm not seeing where Mike Campbell fits in now...

So this means all this time we have been doing all this speculation on the 'Twilight Song' and it has really been 'Lady from the Mountain' all along. How ironic and funny! I love it........

How were those lyrics inspired by Twilight, they are over 30 years old. The whole Twilight thing seems false to me.

I've kind of reconciled myself to it.Stevie is no longer the wild party girl she was 30 plus years ago having romances(sometimes more than one at once) and riding the wave of stardom in a more innocent time. Her songwriting peaked in her 20s to early 30s and this is the norm for rock artists ..not the exception.I guess we should be glad at this point that she is inspired to write by something and as much as I hate to see LFTM morphed it is her song to do with as she pleases. Some of it may be due to an attempt to court teens and tweens which may have worked only if the song was on a "Twilight " soundtrack and featured prominately in the next film.

There have been several fans over the years that come to the ledge that are in the music business. Everything FM77 has said has been true. Just because he couldn't remember specific lines from one of the songs does not make him a liar. You should be more careful when you point fingers at people.

I did read the lyrics but never heard a youtube clip until yesterday. Stevie only referred to the song at my listening session as The Twilight Song so it never occured to me that the "vault" song everyone was looking for could be a song about a new movie? Even the ledgie who was in SD didn't make the connection when she was there and she KNEW LFTM. I will say that I did not like The Twilight Song AT ALL when I heard it...I thought it was one of the weaker cuts but it began to grow on me after 3 or 4 listens. I am still kind of surprised that this is the song everyone is excited about. I thought there were much better songs on the record. But I am not attacking anyone because their opinion is different than mine.
I am a SN fan but I do not own demos and do not know much of her unreleased work. I knew Blue Water and a f ew others and dispelled those long ago from being on the record. Nothing I posted was false or a ruse to rile up people on the board. I honestly don't know why people would do that. I haven't seen trolls on this board but again, I am not on it as much as others.
I am glad someone else heard the record and is providing you with information. It doesn't sound like the listening party in SD heard the whole record? I am sure once titles are released, everyone will settle down. I think the record is great and think her fans will love it.

Lady from the Mountain is one of the BLANDEST demos. I gave it maybe 1 minute before I turned it off on youtube. Obviously Stevie's new version is going to be much more produced. Plus, its been 30 years since the demo was recorded...her voice has changed. I wouldn't have put the 2 together either.

Okay - because for a while, people were saying "Twilight" and "Vampire" were two different songs. But they're the same. Trying to keep all this straight. lol
Interesting that LFTM has apparently been re-worked to create this "Moonlight" song. So there are only 3 tracks we don't know the titles of yet, if there are indeed 13 tracks on the album. LFTM was a vault song (according to the board--not me) that morphed into The Twilight Song which I confirmed I heard and did not like. My mistake was not being familair with LFTM enough to make the connection to a teen movie made 30 years later. I assumed LFTM was a real song...otherwise, why would Stevie re-name it and re-write it as something else. I never ever made that connection and neither did one of the people at the listening party. Stevie herself makes no mention of that title--she introduces this as a NE W SONG written about Twilight. If you are sitting in a room with Miss Nicks, would you assume she is lying about her own music? I didn't.
As I have said, I love the record (I don't like the Twilight song) and I think her fans will too. If everyone on the board is a fan, all that really matters is there is a new record. No one has offered any evidence that I lied about anything with regard to the record. I never claimed knowledge of "vault" songs...that came from the board. I only suggested that my favorite track on the disk may be a vault song because it sounded "vintage" to me.

1. Lady from the Mountains/Twilight Song
2. For What It's Worth
3. In Your Dreams
4. Ghosts Are Gone
5. Secret Love

If CTF is definitely on the record, that means it was the 15th track, right? It has now been reported that IYD will have 13 tracks...meaning 2 songs were cut. I'm wondering if any of them will go to soundtracks or be released as B-sides? Or maybe they're just bad.
Yes you are correct Sorcerer - this is exactly how I recall the situation although some members of this forum disagree. Until "Cheaper Than Free" was mentioned for inclusion towards the end of recording, Stevie and Dave had stated that 14 tracks had been recorded for possible consideration. Therefore, 15 songs are in the can, meaning 2 have been cut. Dave has also said that efforts will be made to release the 2 left over tracks, hopefully as bonus tracks, because he and Stevie believe them to be of a high standard. There is also speculation that the version of "Cheaper Than Free" that will grace Stevie's album is an alternate recording, possibly more in a pop/rock vein, whereas the original country version will be on Dave's record. If this information is correct, then that would mean there were 16 tracks completed.

All these new interviews (particularly the Bob & Tom interview) suggest that "Moonlight - A Vampire's Dream" is the first song on the record.

the demo circulated, I prefer the finished product too.
As for the long circulating 'original' demo, I just compared it to the version found on Master Reel #53 and they're the exact same version.
Master Reel #53
"Living Room Demos"-1/4 in. Reel
01. Watch Chain
02. Storms (Instrumental)
03. Storms (w/Mick, Stevie and Tom)
04. Love You Enough
05. Secret Love
06. Storms (w/Mick, Stevie, Tom and Welch)
Would you please be able to re-post this Reel? I seem to be missing a few (I lost a few things in my big 2006 move).
BTW, thanks for posting the TV performances of "Every Day"! I forgot how beautiful the song is LIVE! That piano and Stevie's voice!!!!!

It is a song title -- based on the book and movie. It's very good -- but not my favorite.

I saw the remake version (2006) last summer on the IFC channel after Stevie mentioned it in interviews last summer. It started out slow, but became intrinsically psychological and compelling and very twisted. I was entranced and could see why Stevie would love it. I was also pleasantly surprised that it featured Rebecca Hall - who I loved in Vicky Cristina Barcelona & The Town. I would like to see the 1993 film version with Nathaniel Parker and Rachel Ward. So anyway after seeing the film I am obviously intrigued to hear what Stevies take away from it was, and can't wait to hear this song.

If Brian's not around I can post the reel as long as you don't mind it in mp.4.
Also, I fell in love with Every Day after I saw her do it live. She really means it.

so we know this much of the track list in stone:
1. Moonlight
2. For What It's Worth
3. In Your Dreams
4. The Ghosts are Gone
5. Secret Love
6. Soldiers Angel
7. Anabell Lee
8. Italian Summer
of Songs 9-13 we know the identity of 4 songs and the titles of 3, leaving one total mystery song, never mentioned in an interview, or by anyone in twitterverse. I'm just gonna guess and say this mystery song is gonna be all of our favorites when the album comes out.
9. Wide Sargasso Sea
10. Everybody Loves You
11. New Orleans
12. Cheaper then Free
13. Technology Ruining Shangri La (made up song and title)
Seriously someone tweet David Wild that we know 12 of the 13 song titles, just tell us the last one.

Has anyone who has previewed the album mentioned the New Orleans song yet? I can't place it if they did. Based on the short line she sang on the 'Unleashed' tour, I kinda hope this ends up as a bonus/dropped track. Who knows, it could be amazing now, but the line about 'dancing around with feathers and beads in the French quarter past some vampires' or whatever .... egh... Perhaps she also sings of 'raising my top, showing my titties, getting trashed on hurricanes, then on to Southern Decadence' .... On second thought... that would be genious.
Anyways, I just really want to know what the other 2 songs/1 possible bonus track is! grr.
I also hope that the tracks she played were not in any particular order, since they are the strongest reviewed, that would mean that the 2nd half of the album is less than memorable.
I would secretly love it if there were some more demos redone, and they are keeping it as a secret from everyone. As unlikely as that is...
Sorry, tons of coffee...just felt like rambling

New title of song, from the KBO radio interview "You may be the one" I'm pretty sure this is the Wide Sargaso Sea song because it was the first song Stevie and Dave wrote for this album, and according to her other interviews, the first song was the Wide Sargasso Sea song.

Yes, David Wild (via sorcerer999) confirmed "Wide Sargasso Sea" as the song title. Here's the list as of today. We're only missing the New Orleans song exact title...

4. Everybody Loves You (Nicks-Stewart)
5. The Soldier's Angel (Nicks)
6. For What It's Worth (Nicks-Campbell)
7. Cheaper Than Free (Nicks-Stewart)

Where did she say that Wide Sargasso Sea was the first song they wrote together?
She said it in early interviews that they got to talking about the the movie and ended up writing the song in like 30 minutes and it was the first song they wrote on the album. Now, I'm not sure if they started talking about the movie because she wrote a poem about it or what.. I'm totally confused.

Like I said in the other thread, she has a history of calling songs something different from the "official" title - Storms (Always Been a Storm), How Still My Love (In the Still of the Night), etc.

But I like it as a title so much better than "You May be The One". I'm sort of bummed, if we get something so generic in its place. Well, I guess it doesn't matter as long as the song is beautiful.

It looks like Wide Sargasso Sea really is an actual song title. You May Be the One is something else completely. They have two seperate shooting schedules based on those songs, so Wilde gave correct information. Does that only leave 1 song now?

Maybe not. Bella Donna only had 10 songs and it's great album. I don't want any extra songs, unless they are good. Looks like the New Orleans Song got kicked. Good for her! She finally might be discriminating.

Or the extra songs are going to be used as bonus tracks. I've seen Nicks says that she considered her New Orleans song one of her best so I'm eager to hear it somehow. Also I thought I read somewhere that Stevie said she and Dave had about 16 songs and they loved all of them and that it was hard to choose which ones would go on the album....so besides bonus tracks maybe some of these others will appear on another Nicks album or a Fleetwood Mac album.

Of course we are going to get bonus tracks... The New Orleans song is probably one. Not all bonus tracks are bad. Tell Me A Happy Ending Story by Hole was an excellent one and the song I listen to most often from their last album.
