Actually I've wondered about this too. I think she literally perceives time differently than most people; and she's become "entrenched" in that. For example she said in the "Destiny Rules" doc. that she had been "writing like a MANIAC in January" but c'mon - let's get real here, she had something like 5 songs on the album and almost all of those were re-cycled demos from the seventies that she had yanked out of her filing cabinet. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's "lots of work." But really - if this were a "normal job" and she was expected to be working 40 hours a week - - or 50 or even 70 like most Americans are - and she had handed that in to a boss - the boss's reaction would be, ".....Stevie . . . What have you been DOING with your TIME!?" Like I said, don't get me wrong, I'm sure she's worked VERY hard at times, to get where she is today. But it honestly does seem to me that her current perception of "hard work" is way, way off compared to that of most people, and that it's been that way for a long time.

"Rhiannon Project?" nope.

Coffee Table Book? Nope.

Goldfish and the Ladybug cartoon? Nope.

Autobiography? Nope.

Movie about her life? NnnnnnOPE!

But then again, she recently attended an autograph signing in New York City at a bookstore, which she had NO real reason to do except maybe for kicks and giggles - and maybe, mostly, because she knew her fans would love it. And she makes all those trips to visit the wounded soldiers, gives thousands of dollars to disaster victims, creates heart research institutes, etc. So hey, more power to her. Even if she doesn't yet want to call it "semi-retirement." Hey, how's Donald Trump's real estate program working out lately? Has he made another billion? I once saw an interview of the person whose house she cleaned. Same general idea as I mentioned above - he said that the reality, in general, was "somewhat different."
(He felt that she didn't work very hard and didn't do a good job.)
Again (i.m.o.), a difference between her perception of how much effort she makes and the time put in, and what others have seen.

Then again, look at the Results - over time. Certainly can't argue with that.
It's just frustrating sometimes because you just KNOW that at least part of her

Think about this. Courtney Love got 50 million dollars just for Kurt Cobain's catalog from Nirvana. He was only 1/4 the band I think. Fleetwood Mac has put out a lot more music them. Then there is Stevie's solo career. She gets royalties everytime her songs are played. She got paid 7 million dollars for one song—Landslide. I think when someone covers one of her songs she gets paid. Then there is all the touring she does with or without Fleetwood Mac. I'm estimating that if she had saved everything up, she would be worth about 500 to 600 million dollars.

Think about this. How much coke did go up her nose? How much does she spend? We know she has always liked to live large.

I would bet that right now she worth about 150 to 250 million dollars. If not, you can thank the coke and those pianos she put in her hotel rooms.

Plus, the IRS audit was probably totally embarrassing for her. Her contemporary, Billy Joel, lost something like 65 million to his accountant in the 80's. That was a HUGE wake up call to all big-time singer songwriters who were enjoying the fast lane.

I'm sure it's hard work watching >50 million bucks (like I know). on top of that, she's very shrewd. She was quite clever in cleaving from Fleetwood Mac for solo work in such a way that Mick never saw a dime directly from the success of Belladonna, etc..and you KNOW he wanted a piece of that action. Probably stings him a bit to this day.

Mama's got high overhead, so I can't possibly see her as being super mega-wealthy. Wealthier than I will ever be in 10 lifetimes? Certainly! But not 9-figure wealthy. She's got maids, gardeners, pool boy, assistant and an array of agents, managers, publicists, lawyers, publishers, accountants, etc. And who knows what kind of financial arrangements she has with Lori, Chris and Sharon (are they on her payroll full time?) Even though she makes, say, $150K per show, she realistically takes home a fraction of that, perhaps $50K, after taxes, commissions, fees, etc. are factored in. While Rumours was a mega-hit album, most of the units sold were in LP (cheap) format and royalties had to be split amongst the rest of the band. And the cruel reality is that she has not had a platinum-selling hit album in 20 years (Timespace). Yes, if she scaled way back, she could definitely retire very comfortably. But given the shaky performance of Wall Street and her large lifestyle, she probably needs to keep working in order to keep the principal intact. All in, she's probably worth somewhere in the vicinity of $30 million, give or take.

I remember her talking about someone investing hers and Lindsey's money in real estate when they first began making it. I guess the guy retrieved it from the jeans they threw in the washing machine with $100 bills in them. This was early on, so she may have learned something in the last couple of decades, but back then it was clear she didn't know what she owned. She just knew that the property someone else bought for her was making her money grow.

That's what I'd guess, too... $20-40 million. Definitely not over $50 mil. I've read lots of lists and stories about how much rock stars are worth, etc and that's about where I think Stevie would fall into that hierarchy.
