I have voted for your designs. But, based on rules, one can only vote once.
My favorite of your six is a recent upload...love the penguin's expression!

Catdancer,

I think you need to convince the people of DBH to vote for your stuff, not just the Ledgies here. Sure, we'll vote for your stuff because we're friends & part of the community...but the people are DBH can be brutal. The bulk of the votes seems to be coming from them.

More than half of the comments on my pages designs are from people I do not recognize. Many of my friends, I emailed them and asked them to sign up to vote. But I still notice that the majority of them seem to be coming from the people who've been on there designing for quite some time.

You might be right but I don't know anybody at DBH......

For some reason DBH won't accept my black shirt designs. I've sent them an email asking them why but no reply yet.

Your designs are great by the way.......

If it were up to me, you would take the prize. Your designs are far and away the classiest, with a sophistication beyond any merchandise the band has ever had.

I've said it before - I find shirts that primarily feature photos of the band very cheesy. I have a box full of shirts that I've bought at Stevie/Fleetwood Mac shows over many years - just for collecting purposes - I would never think of wearing them. The designs mostly looked slapped together, like an after thought, with no sense of taste or fashion. (Although I've considered wearing my light blue Tusk shirt that simply has a penguin on the front side).

I would wear your t-shirts. In fact, you should immediately be put on retainer with the band (replacing Chris Nicks or whatever hack they usally assign) and design the artwork for everything they release, including their cds, promo collateral etc..

Do you work as a graphic designer? If not, you should!

you have made my day! thank you so much for the kind words. I do in fact work as a graphic deisgner... and oddly enough it was partly Stevie and the Mac that inspired me in that direction way back in 82/83. you know, back when albums, singles and tour merch all had a great sense cohesiveness and fun...and taste. In the early and mid 80s i thought the Mac had the coolest merch (as did Stevie ...only in 83)... sadly ever since then i've always been dissapointed with the merch i find on tour (minus a very cool Tusk-esque tan tshirt they sold during the Dance tour.) But i am right there with you, most of the recent merch isnt very wearable around town. And yet, i go see other bands, and i find their merch VERY fashionable, wearable, affordable, and interesting (like someone put a lot of thought into the designs.)

I would gladly take on the job as merch designer for the band. hell, i'd do it for free! again... you made my day saying that. thanks again!!!

Well, I'm only human and yes, I'm freaking out, I really need to win the cash. I don't even care about the tickets, you can have 'em. I need cash.

As for the links, try this: catdancer designs (http://www.designbyhumans.com/humans/detail/90494)

Yeah, we get it. But bitching at people for not voting for you is not going to do you any favors.

And I was asking Moz for new links, but thanks anyway.

Um, Catdancer? You might want to give people more than a whole 12 hours to read your post before freaking out on them that they're ignoring you. People don't come here as much as they used to. It's nothing personal.

These links don't work.

Hey Paula.. I just got that message too, when I went to Moz's links..??? "Item not found"? Hopefully Moz will re-post them for us!

Hugs,

Arlene

As for a general question: what does it mean when a design is too pixelated and how do I change it???

This was a fantastic contest. I managed to get one through the approval process. Never designed for a t-shirt before so mine is not as detailed or as good as others, but want to wish everyone who entered the best of luck at winning.

Here's a new design I spent 4 hrs on...then I realized...it just doesnt look good on a shirt! haha

<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3525/3270391279_8460a5b3de_b.jpg">

Maybe not so good for the main image...but great for placement elsewhere...like on the side of the sleeve, or the backside -- somewhere less traditional.

Why are you people ignoring me???? And guess what, I consider myself as a Ledgie, I desperately need the money because we're behind on rent, we hardly have any food and the people who I considered my Ledge friends don't vote for me. I don't get it.
Be honest with me and tell me what I've done wrong because I have no idea.
I couldn't care less about the concert tickets, I'd be happy to give them away, and I don't care about the iTunes prize either, just vote for my designs and stop ignoring me. And yes, I posted the same thing on SW.

I find it very bizzare and distasteful that you see this contest as a means to make money. And, you're asking Ledgies to vote for you -- not because of the quality or personal preference for your submissions, but because you need to pay rent???? I suggest you find other dependable means of generating revenue for your expenses! A lottery ticket maybe?

I have already apologized so let it be, please. Besides, the rent problem is resolved by (you guessed it) a lottery ticket.

I just checked out the votes. I can't believe your submissions haven't got more votes. There is an odd disparity there. There is a cartoon character version of Fleetwood Mac that has an inordinate amount of votes --300 something.

Obviously this person has campaigned to have everyone and their brother stack the votes in their favor. It's clever, but super ugly for a t-shirt shirt. The same goes the submission that renders the band name in branches -- clever but ugly.

I'm really disappointed...in the lack of appreciation in artistic/commercial quality designs...and the utter lack of taste. And I immediately dismiss any design that incorporates a song title or any other phrase. Also, any that uses the photo images from Say You Will. Those photos are so dark and gloomy -- more than a touch too moody and sullen for a T-shirt and tour called Unleashed.

I've knocked on that door...and he answered! My parents won't live long enough to spend it all. However, I will have to split the winnings with 2 sisters. Wouldn't it be tragic if at least one of them died unexpectedly? (a sinister joke, of course).;)

Thats amazing. I never play the lottery. I always wonder if I'd be one of those people who buys the ONE ticket of their life and wins. I just never do it.
