Clear as a bell for me and I have to agree.

It amazes me how people miss the mark. I was laughing at the obvious jumping of the gun to assume I, a male, was belittling all women whose husband's cheat on them - blaming it on the women if you will. I was very careful not to do that. In fact, I believe I repeadtedly said I was not doing that. So, I was not "laughing at people" for disagreeing with my point. I was laughing at them totally missing it in a rabid march to waylay me for stating the obvious and that which we all know sadly happens. This jumping the gun is why I refered to it as the Sisterhood of the Vag. It is like bees in a frenzy. Then, when I pointed out that I never said that, it fell on deaf ears - kill the man is all I heard.

Put it this way, you got and agreed with my point in post 47 when you said "and honestly I can't blame a man for being turned off if someone's let themselves go completely." That does not excuse the behavior mind you - it just is what it is and it happens all the time. Again, this was a general point and not in reference to the soon to be ex Gov. of NY.

Interestingly, I do not think there are any ugly people. I think all human beings have some entity of beauty - though some more than others. I usually use "ugly" in terms of behavior, deeds, etc. For example, the soon to be ex gov.'s acts were ugly to me.

There ya go.. However, when you posted the ho's picture last night, you were wondering how many of us "girls" were gonna say she was ugly.. and I wanted to note that word.. LOL.. I too, don't judge a person on the way they are on the outside, as I always look inward - and go by how they are on the inside! This was regarding this post of yours :

She is nice looking and, of course, has youth on her side. I would not pay 1,000 and hour though. Then again, I would never pay that for anything I wonder if she is double jointed, has a snapping vag. , or something

Let's see how many of the Sisters of the V. bag on her by calling her ugly

1. I still want to see a snapping vag. just once in my life, though an ex girlfriend in college was close :ekk:

2. I know this may sound dumb, but life itself is so beautiful that a live human being to me cannot be ugly. Though, some of the corpses I have seen could kill a dog in its tracks

Well you just love to use language that will inflame so sometimes your point is lost and takes a while to uncover. Initially it seemed like you were blaming the Mrs for his transgression and saying that all men who stray do so because of their wives letting themselves go.

I mean sisters of the vag? What about brothers of the pen? Does that not sound ridiculous?

Um - HejiraNYC said:

See, if I was in that situation, I would have gone all out to look fierce, which would only underscore the point that Mr. Spitzer was an idiot for gambling his career away when he had such a hot piece of a$$ at home. Instead, by looking so schlubby, although the public is outwardly outraged, lots of married men were probably thinking, "dude, I totally understand why you did this."

which in no way says that she let herself go (he said she could look fierce) , that she deserved his infidelity, or all married men feel the way he asserts - he said "lots" And - she did look schlubby.

I replied:

VERY few if any women on this board, and perhaps in reality, will get that argument. And, even if they may think it, but the bonds of the Sisterhood of the Vag. prevent them for saying it. Just like all they can focus on is the betrayal. I get that she was betrayed and that was awful, etc. But, have some self-respect woman

Meanwhile, I submit every staight guy on this board gets it as do most of the gays.

- which in no way says she brought this on herself and/or he had some excuse for cheating and hurting her.

As predicted, the Sisters of Vag. took that then to mean I had said she deserved this because she let herself go. Then, they got even more enflamed when I stated the old scenario that when women let themsleves go and get fat, etc. - the man's head may turn for some young hot thing - they apparently think that does not happen or that I am happy it does, which of course, I am not and clearly and repeatedly said so. But, that happens all the time. Yet, the Sisters of Vag. could not admit that and instead accused me of cutting the soon to be ex Gov. of NY a break and stating emphatically that his wife was to blame. I specifically and repeatedly said not all men cheat and I was not referring to the soon to be ex Gov.'s ordeal. In fact, I said his wife was still very good looking so it must be some other reason.

If I said anything other than that - let's see it

Conversely, this thread is replete with the Sisters of the Vag. saying I said things I did not - like mad swarming bees.

Bitches before bastards.

Your phrase leads me to one of my favorite Michael Scott quotes:

"Bros before hos. Why? Because your bros are always there for you. They got your back after your ho rips your heart out, for no good reason. And you were nothing but great to your ho, and you told her that she was the only ho for you. And that she was better than all the other ho’s in the world. And then suddenly, she’s not your ho no mo’."

Yes, clearly you are an angel. That's what I was saying, initially it seemed like you meant it was largely her fault he cheated. That is all. It took a while for it to come out that you meant it could be a factor for some men and that in this specific circumstance probably quite a few men thought she looked like a hag. Well, you guys are a lot more visual than we are so it is sometimes shocking how much that comes into play. But dude, we're all in this mess that is life together, man. I'm just trying to understand you people with the Y chromosome a little better.

This "Kristen" may get her fame and fortune after all

Scandal has a price — and a payoff
Unmasking in Spitzer case has brought fame, perhaps fortune to ‘Kristen’

Dupre had also posted two songs at the music sharing site Aime Street, which allows musicians to earn a 70 percent cut of download fees, which are determined by their popularity. The songs, "What You Want" and "Move Ya Body" are dance-pop tunes a la Britney Spears.

On "What We Want," she sings: "I know what you need/ Can you handle me?"

Price of song downloads soars
As of Thursday evening, the songs had been listened to by some 200,000. Downloads were selling for 98 cents each, though "What We Want" had previously been selling for 13 cents. Prices on the site are based on demand.

That song was also making it onto the nation's radio airwaves.

"After the first play, a lot of the reaction was negative," said Sharon Dastur, program director of New York's Z100 (WHTZ-FM). "But after the second play, it became, ‘Play that song again,’ and ‘Hey, that song's not bad.’"

Major labels would be unlikely to sign Dupre, but in the past smaller labels have taken a stab at capitalizing on such notoriety. Koch Entertainment profited by releasing an album in 2004 by William Hung, the "American Idol" castoff who horrendously sang "She Bangs." (Koch declined to comment Thursday on interest in signing Dupre.)

Susan Ferris, general manager of Los Angeles-based indie label Long Live Crime Records, thinks Dupre is unlikely to win a recording contract.

"Would it get her foot in the door here? There would probably be a morbid curiosity," Ferris said, noting that Nicole Narain, the Playboy model whom Colin Farrell sued in 2005 over a sex tape, submitted music to the label that she sampled but deemed "god-awful."

......
Queue forms behind Penthouse, Hustler
There is one surefire avenue for Dupre to cash in, should she choose to: adult men's magazines. Penthouse and Hustler are already knocking on her door.
"We would love to have her in the magazine," said Diane Silberstein, president and publisher of Penthouse Magazine Group. "We would even consider offering her a cover. We think we could also be very helpful to her in her music career."

Hustler Publisher Larry Flynt sounded doubtful about his chances, though, suggesting that by the time Dupre starts talking, she may be too big a media phenomenon for a simple magazine spread.

"She is no doubt going to do a book. There will probably be a movie," he said. "I think she is going to have so many offers coming in that it will probably be wishful thinking just to get in the door."
