Just saw a news blurb that said Anna Nicole Smith was found unconscious & unresponsive in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Hotel in Florida. Has anyone else seen or heard about this story?

Breaking News:

Anna Nicole Smith just collapsed (less than an hour ago) at the same hotel that Stevie performed at a couple nights ago. It is all over the news! I don't know why I find it so exciting that it is the same hotel that Stevie was just at... maybe Anna was at the show? Maybe she collapsed because she hates the setlist too?

i haven't heard anything but with everything coming out in the tabloids over the past 48 hours, i wouldn't be surprised if she tried to kill herself.

the news just updated that Anna Nicole Smith collapsed at 2PM EST at the Hard Rock Hotel and was rushed to a hospital in Hollywood, FL.

According to this news report CPR was attempted and the hospital staff have stuck a tube down her throat to provide air (aka intubated)...Doesnt look too good for ANS.

EDIT: CNN is reporting the exact thing I just typed.

Anna Nicole: The New Witnesses (http://www.theinsideronline.com/celeb/5327/)

Our ANNA NICOLE SMITH investigation takes a whole new turn on tonight's "Insider," as we talk to the two men who say they were witnesses to the events following the death of Anna's 20-year-old son, DANIEL.

BEN THOMPSON and his son-in-law, FORD SHELLY, who claim they bought the home in the Bahamas that Anna was living in at the time of Daniel's passing, say they were at the hospital soon after a deadly mix of Zoloft, Lexapro and methadone killed Daniel just three days after the birth of Anna's daughter, DANNIELYNN.

The fact that methadone was found in Daniel's body has been the source of much speculation, with tabloids even making accusations linking Anna's partner, HOWARD K. STERN, to the drug. A claim that Howard vehemently denies.

"I never gave it to him," insists Howard. "I would have never hurt Daniel. I loved Daniel. He was my family."

With regard to the methadone, "The Insider" asks Thompson and Ford: "With your own eyes, did you see Howard flush or dispose of pills or methadone down the toilet?"

"No, I was not there at that time, or maybe I was in another room, but I wasn't privy to any of that," says Thompson.

"But you need to know one thing," Ford points out. "I heard the toilet flush and the pills didn't come back."

Thompson also opens up about having, what he calls, a "short, romantic relationship" with Anna that eventually led to "a genuine friendship."

"It was very short-lived, a month maybe, but you've got to understand, she lived in California, I lived here," recalls Thompson. "We were more friends than anything I would say."

And it was that friendship that he claims Anna turned to just prior to giving birth to Dannielynn.

"Anna wanted to put my name on the birth certificate as the father," says Thompson. "I never commited to her, but I sort of went along with her to appease her. But when the baby came and finally she had to put a father on the birth certificate, I told her I would not do it. I knew it was a lie, I knew I was not the father and I did not want to go on record that I was."

And while Anna insists Howard is the father, photographer LARRY BIRKHEAD has maintained that he too had a relationship with Anna, and that Dannielynn is his.

It was announced Wednesday that a California judge has set a new date -- February 21, 2007 -- for Anna to complete a DNA test to determine the paternity of the child.

"Collapsed" and "found unresponsive." I assume that means there were indications that she fell down first and then passed out? As opposed to being found unresponsive in bed?

I think he gave Daniel his drugs and Nicole's. It seems he has had her doped for years. If he is exonerated due to an investigation, I am sure there will be plenty of cash he will be rolling in. No doubt there are insurance policys well in place. Her death strengthens Birk's case...hopefully the investigators don't Fup in the capture her DNA.

I have my foil hat on and am thinking that if Howard got rif od Daniel and Anna Nicole - Howard is now the guardian for 18 or so years of the sole heir to the hundreds of millions Anna stood likely to get. But, that is a stretch as Howard is rumored not to be the father.

I bet she OD'd - I think this because the loss of her son was likely due to her giving him some pill that interacted with a deadly effect to the stuff he was already on. Plus, Trimspa and she are being sued, the paternity test has been ordered, etc.

Finally, in a away and though she did this to herself, America watched this trainwreck happening and that is kind of sick.

From what I know, they're scheduled ASAP. Especially if foul play is suspected. NOT that I'm saying that there is, but if she just collapses and no one she knows personally is around to speak to a cause, they would likely automatically treat it as unattended death, and autopsy is required in that situation.

when a person's death seems 'suspicious' or when there are unanswered question in regard to the death, a autopsy can be requested.

Also the intermediate family can ask for an autopsy to be performed when there are either unanswered questions or no questions at all in regards to the death.

I think that in my state, autopsies are required for suspicious deaths and unattended deaths, except instances of clear medical reasoning. I don't think they autopsy elderly victims who die alone if there is a medical history unless the family makes the request. They might, but I don't think they do if the officers who respond cannot identify a crime scene or any indications of foul play. It's probably different state by state, and some places have better facilities that can perform autopsies faster. Here, it generally takes 3 days for instances of foul play. "Routine" autopsies tend to take longer. When my ex's sister OD'd alone, I know her autopsy was scheduled pretty quickly.

I'm a news-writer, so it's kind of a topic that affects me from time to time. Usually, the longest part of the process is waiting for all the family to be notified, and then an opening in the autopsy schedule.

a family can request an autopsy immediately after death, which is what my brother and I decided when our Mother died. Let's say the doctor who did the original surgery wasnt happy with our request (He even checked "No autopsy performed" on the official record of death, when one was performed) - the other 2 surgeons who cared for Mom afterwards recommended an autopsy however.

My Mom died 1707 hours on Monday, the autopsy was before at 1230 on Tuesday. Very typical time for an autopsy performed on a person who died during a medical procedure or from a medical event.

In Oklahoma average time for autopsies in instances of "foul play" ranges from 1-3 days depending on availability of a M.E.

Final Footage of Anna Nicole Smith Sparks Bidding War
Thursday , February 08, 2007

By Sara Bonisteel

Footage of the final moments of Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith's life sparked a media bidding war Thursday, with estimates already topping $250,000, FOXNews.com has learned.

Paparazzi agency Splash News & Picture Agency is peddling the videotape, which shows paramedics working on the unresponsive reality star as she was wheeled from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., Thursday afternoon.

Emergency responders appear to administer CPR on two separate occasions as the TrimSpa spokeswoman was wheeled out of the hotel on a gurney, according to FOX News Channel producer Christopher Spinder, who viewed the footage at Splash's headquarters in Los Angeles.

"At one point they kind of started to look like they were going to put the gurney onto the ambulance and they kind of pulled the gurney back out a little bit so they could do a second administering of CPR," Spinder said.

Her companion and lawyer, Howard K. Stern, is not visible in the video.

The two-minute tape, shot from three different angles from a distance of about 50 feet, shows Smith's sheet-covered body, with an oxygen mask over her face, being taken out of the Hard Rock Hotel by a gaggle of emergency responders, including paramedics and police.

"You cannot see her face, you cannot see hair flowing out from underneath the mask," Spinder said. "Again if someone didn't tell me this was Anna Nicole Smith, I totally would not have known it. You can't even tell it's a woman."

The video shows footage of the ambulance driving away from the hotel under a police escort, then cuts to the ambulance at Memorial Regional Hospital just after 2 p.m. ET Thursday.

"You do not see the ambulance pull into the hospital, and you do not see the body come out of the back of the ambulance," Spinder said. "You just see the ambulance sitting there.

"One would assume that the cameraman got there after the body had already been unloaded from the ambulance and was already in the hospital at that point," he said.

Smith died at 2:45 p.m. at the age of 39. She is survived by a 4-month-old daughter, Dannielynn Hope Marshall. Her only son, Daniel Smith, died in the Bahamas in September, 18 days after her daughter was born.

And - I would sell it if I had taken it. May she rest in peace, but this woman lived her life before the cameras and used them to make money -- so, why shouldn't I do the same and as if she would object

King: Anna Nicole was 'genuine, special person'

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- CNN's Larry King interviewed Anna Nicole Smith several times on his talk show and said the model and actress lived a short life but one worthy of being told in a feature film.

King talked with CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer on Thursday as news broke of Smith's death.

BLITZER: We're awaiting a news conference to emerge from that hospital in Hollywood, Florida, with some details. We don't know how many details, what they're going to say. But talk a little bit about this woman, Larry, that you've known. I know you're going to be doing a whole hour on this subject tonight.

KING: Yeah, thanks, Wolf. I've always liked Anna Nicole Smith. I first met her many years ago after the Playmate era where she was featured in Playboy. I liked her right away when I had her on the show. I went through the marriage to the elderly gentlemen [Texas oil baron J. Howard Marshall II], the weight gains up and down.

Always a special thing about her, even when she spoofed her on "Saturday Night Live."

She is an extraordinary pretty girl. The unusual thing is she did a painting that we have here in the house. She is kind of an amateur painter. I have an oil painting she has done here.

We've been involved recently in this contest over who fathered [her] little girl [Dannielynn Hope]. In fact, we have the lawyer for the gentleman here, Larry [Birkhead], who claims he is the father and we have [lawyer] Howard K. Stern claiming he is the father. Now we have a little girl who is kind of lost in all this. It's really, really, really sad, Wolf.

I think that, you know, she was a special person; she was an unusual person. She was genuine; she was funny; she had some class. I feel very, very sorry for everybody concerned, but mostly for that little girl.

BLITZER: And [Anna Nicole] went through a real, real personal tragedy with the loss of her grown son [Daniel]. Talk a little bit about that, Larry. Because it came almost around exactly the time of the birth of this little baby girl.

KING: I think it was a day and a half apart, and she loved her son. I met her son once when she came to our studios in L.A. He accompanied her. He was a good-looking boy, handsome young man. What tragedy befell this woman? Can you imagine to lose a boy right after you give birth to a girl? I couldn't fathom that. I could not fathom how she went on.

BLITZER: What do we know about the circumstances of her son?

KING: I think there was a question of a drug overdose. I don't know if it was ever clear because in -- they had a lot of problems with the autopsy and a lot of questions concerning what is the actual cause of the death, who was in the room. I know the story was he was at her bedside. Do you remember that, Wolf?

BLITZER: Right. I'm just reading here he was 20 years old, Daniel Smith and died suddenly on September 10, 2006, in his mother's hospital room while visiting her and his newborn sister. That happened in Nassau, Bahamas, back in September.

KING: Could you imagine anything sadder than that? I can't. I can't. I can't.

BLITZER: This followed several years of litigation involving the money, the millions, hundreds of millions of dollars that was left in the estate of her -- he was well into his 90s by the time he passed away, J. Howard Marshall.

KING: And we forget she won a historic Supreme Court case, turned her down from the bankruptcy court in Texas and the court 9-0, they haven't heard it yet. Well, maybe they've just heard it. Ruled in her favor.

The thinking was that she might have settled this before it went back to the Houston court and an enormous amount of money would have been coming her way.

BLITZER: She was only married to J. Howard Marshall for 14 months. She got married in '94. He passed away in 1995. But left the money, if not all of it, most of it to her as opposed to his other children.

KING: Correct. They are the one that filed the suit. They won in the lower court but [the Supreme Court] ruled in her favor and it went back and it's in Houston. I don't know if they've heard it yet in Houston, if there are settlement hearings, et cetera. What a story.

BLITZER: An amazing story. I know that you can bring some unique insight because you actually knew this woman who was born in very, very humble origins down in Texas and becomes a Playmate, a Playboy Playmate of the year in 1993 and then marries this very fabulously wealthy 89-year-old man.

KING: It's a story for the books. It's a story that will be written about and talked about. I imagine a major motion picture about it.

WOW!

I had heard through the grapevine on Tuesday that Anna was staying at the Hard Rock. This was of NO surprise to me, given that the past week I had run into Paris Hilton, Ashton Kutcher, and Prince (Yes, he spoke to us). I just kinda shrugged my shoulders when I heard her name on Tues, cause lately she's been quite a trainwreck.

The media is really going nuts with this story. I find especially scary that I was just there on Tuesday night. I didnt see her at the concert (I was being THREATENED by the person behind me for standing, but thats a story for the Stevie forum). I would not be surprised if she was there, though. I was supposed to be going there tonight to go drinking and clubbing, however, given the media circus, I think I will stick to the beach....

May she rest in peace, and a special prayer for her baby..

It seems he has had her doped for years. If he is exonerated due to an investigation, I am sure there will be plenty of cash he will be rolling in. No doubt there are insurance policys well in place. Her death strengthens Birk's case...hopefully the investigators don't Fup in the capture her DNA.

I don't think they need her DNA. They could probably just take a mouth swab from the baby and match it to Birkhead's DNA.

about the mixed reports...Hell, I just heard one report that ANS was found unconscious and was deceased before she was even taken to the hospital.

Thus, my foil hat argument that Howard now remains as the one who gets the money if it comes, which it likely will

Rusty Hardin was interviewed on CNN and he pretty much alluded that as long as the 9th circuit rules in her favor her estate will get at least $88,000,000. He would not confirm how much money was in the Marshall family trust (Ha!) but did confirm that there was more than enough to cover that amount. There is a baby involved now. I think the award will come through.

This is sad.

I'd bet my next paycheck that when they do the autopsy they will find a whole combo of pills that were all prescribed by doctors. Ultimately it is the patient's responsibility to not abuse prescription medication, but shouldn't the MDs be accountable in some way? When people die of overdoses of illegal drugs they always try to find and punish the dealer, so why doesn't the same hold true for some of these doctors? They too, are dealers at times.

It would probably assist if there was a national registry so physicians and pharmacists could look up doctor visits/prescripts. Often, those who abuse drugs will pay visits to a number of them. Of course, there are invasion of privacy issues. What is a life worth? I think health care networks and those state-run have access to information within their own health care facilities. Abusers are probably aware of that and choose their doctors wisely. But, look at Elvis and Taylor as an example, those doctors have no problem giving what an abuser wants/needs. Money talks.

You need two, here is why: (Rottweiler?!?!? Oh, that wont make bunny nervous! )

Why is a second rabbit a good idea?
The need for companionship is so deeply ingrained in rabbits that centuries of domestication have had little impact. Like humans and many other creatures, European wild rabbits (ancestors to our domestic rabbits) need to live in groups. A community or warren consists of as many as a hundred individuals working together to create, maintain and peacefully share a network of tunnels. Their lives include daily cooperation to find food, watch for and warn of predators, and protect, raise, and teach their young.

The need for companionship can be met partially by a human, but once you live with a bonded pair or trio you will see that even the most devoted human cannot quite fill the bill. Bonded pairs are rarely out of each other's sight. Humans will never be completely fluent in Rabbit. Rabbits talk to each other constantly, not so much with sounds as with movements. There are large movements such as dancing and grooming, and there are quite small communications of breath and slight shifts in position. You can sense some of this quiet conversation by lying on the floor beside two talkative rabbits. The bond between human and rabbit also can be deep and joyful. In fact, the closer we become to our rabbits, the more clearly do we understand their need for a friend of their own kind.

Fortunately for all of us, what's good for the bunny is very good for her human. HRS Colorado Chapter Manager Nancy LaRoche writes, "Pairs are much easier to care for, get into far less trouble, are happier, and tend to relate better to people. Boredom leads to bunny-in-trouble, and pairs don't get nearly as bored because they are so busy relating to each other. Many adopters have told me, 'If anyone doubts that pairs get into less trouble and relate better to people, tell them to call me! If I had known how much easier two rabbits would be, I'd never have gotten just one.'"

Boredom and depression are common symptoms of loneliness in rabbits. These are accompanied by destructiveness and hyperactivity in some rabbits (generally the smaller breeds), withdrawal in others.

By adopting your new friend from a shelter or rescue group you can save two lives, which feels even better than saving one.

You know Jaz, I agree. Everyone is assuming she OD'd but she had been ill all week and was traveling with a nurse. She had a collapsed lung due to pheumonia in late October. I told my husband a few months back that I would be surprised if she survived Daniel's death. She did love that kid...she was almost codependent on him. He took care of her, in a way. So sad. I am sure she was on drugs, she was slurring on ET last night but I wonder if her death was just a combo of all of it. She was constantly being kicked when she was down. I never thought Howard would hurt her or her kid. Honestly, when you live with an addict, there is only so much you can do unless the person wants to help themselves. He is a lawyer so he certainly did not prescribe her any drugs. He as really the only one who stood by her and did not betray her. Short of physically stopping her from taking scripts or illegal drugs, what could he have done? Left her? I am sure he tried to get her help. If a drug addict wants to drug, they will, no matter who tries to stop them.

Nancy Grace is also reporting that Howard will get custody in the Bahamas, as he is listed as the father on the birth certificate. The baby is not in the States, they left her home in the Bahamas. There is an emergency paternity hearing scheduled in the US. Sidenote..I cannot stand Debra Opri. She is pretty cold.

I agree. ANS really loved her son very much.

I had a dear friend who was just 40 years old when she passed away 11 years ago. Her mother had been at Easter church services and died at the church. My friend passed away just seven months later. She had been so upset about her mother that she started to have medical problems that got worse as the year went on and she suddenly just died in her sleep that Fall. I think she died of a broken heart because she was very close to her mother. Grieving is a very difficult thing to go through but for alot of people they just can't get over their loss. ANS didn't seem to have alot of family support either and that probably would have helped her more than anything else if they were decent people.

Well, I speculated it was an OD but I don't cast the same judgement on that that some do I think. I mean, addiction is a disease and OD'ing is a symptom of it, the worst one. So I don't think speculating that could be the cause of death is being cruel.

Her choking on her own vomit is only something that COULD HAVE HAPPENED and it was mentioned by the same pathologist who did the autopsy on her son, Daniel. This has not been confirmed at all as being the cause of her death. They were talking to this pathologist on the news as they were just starting the autopsy. He is NOT INVOLVED with ANS autopsy. He is just someone they got to talk on the news about what they might find. This is not confirmed as her death or even if it did happen. This kind of stuff is how rumors get started. It will be hours or maybe weeks, before we find out what exactly happened to her.

She wouldn't have had to lie at all. My point was, why even bring that **** up at all? She was attacking Chyna for no reason. She was mourning and this woman has to tell her that Anna didn't even like her to begin with.

She could had vomited or they could have been absorbed into her.

Also, they said they found cold meds and Valium. CNN just said that it is very hard to OD on Valium as there is a large margin of error and you would have to take alot of them.

Then, some reporter who interviewed her like last week said she tried to kill herself in her swimming pool a month or so ago and her bodyguard, who is a paramedic, had to administer CPR.

This who thing is just so sad.

Yes, of course. But chances are that if it were a deliberate OD, pills would have been found in the stomach, or at least traces of medication - even if she had vomitted. And I don't get the DNA thing either. Something's not right here.....

Yes but in theory, if it were an OD & she took a lot of pills at once, she would have died quickly enough that there would still be pills or traces of them in the stomach.

That does NOT rule out the theory that she had a drug interaction though. Perhaps one of her meds wasn't good with another. Apparently there were several bottles of antibiotics (and other meds) in the room in Stern's name. Dunno why you'd need so many antibiotics. Ad who the hell knows what's really in that Trimspa ****.

I'm confused, if it wasn't drugs or pills or anything, then what did she die of?

I personally think either her heart gave out due to a combination of major rapid weight fluctuations and drug use (prescription) over the years.

Or it may have to do with her slipping & falling & banging her head in the bathtub the day before. Brain hemmorhage or something. Just me theorizing.

That is an interesting angle. Without being a forensic scientist, I cannot say for certain, but I wonder if it is customary to do a brain scan or MRI as part of an autopsy. It would be very easy to tell whether she had some kind of hemorrhage or ischemic event if that was the case.

The thing about Valium (and other benzodiazepenes) is that it is really supposed to be used as a muscle relaxant or for anxiety. It's not for sleep, as popularly assumed, although it is often prescribed for that. As a muscle relaxant, in excessively high doses, Valium will repress the breathing reflex, which means that you will stop breathing in your sleep. Valium is also a very, very tiny pill that would be dissolved very quickly. Therefore, I'm not surprised that the examiner could not find visual traces of it.

Some classes of antibiotics have cardiac affects (QTc prolongation, Torsades, etc.), and may interact with other drugs, which would increase the levels in the blood of all drugs, even if an appropriate dosage is taken. This could have led to a heart attack. Because many newer antibiotics are taken once per day, if she took the medication in the morning, it may have been absorbed fully into her system by the time she died. For all we know, she could have taken a double dose of antibiotic because she felt so rotten, or because she wanted to make up for a skipped dose.

I would also imagine that she must have been on some kind of an antidepressant due to all of the stuff going on. Again, more potential drug interaction.

I think the fact that the drug bottles all had Howard K. Stern's name on it is very telling . These meds have obviously not been taken under the watchful eye of a single physician.

can be done but usually it is not customary unless to determine if the brain died from an event, but it would need be performed before the removal of the brain or the autopsy (That is if removal of the brain/cranial contents was requested prior to the autopsy).

and I don't know if anyone saw it, but Anna's mother was on there and I just couldn't believe what all she was saying. maybe it was the truth, but damn. if my daughter had just died like Anna did, I sure as hell wouldn't be "bashing" her the very next day. it was really sad. she basically said Anna had it coming and that she lived too much in the fast lane and didn't financially help the family ever...like I said, maybe it's true, but there's a time and place. she didn't seem really upset. her eyes barely welled with tears.

of course, this could all be because she expected this and dealt with her grief and loss a long time ago.

Also, is it that uncommon for celebs to have scripts in other peoples names? I would not be surprised if Stevie did not do the same back in the day. I heard now she had TWO nurses with her. One was her bodyguard's wife and another one was a nurse she has had since she had pneumonia and a collapsed lung in early Nov. The fact she had no pills in her stomach makes it seem like she did not OD. The medical examiner did say her body did not show any signs of illicit drug use, ie needle marks. I bet she mixed some antidepressants with the valium and perhaps some other prescribed drug, like methadone...and the combo supressed her heart and respirations. Same thing that killed her kid.

It is disconcerting to say the least. I can certainly understand why a celeb would have a script in someone else's name. Remember the time when one of Stevie's empty script bottles was taken from the trash in her hotel room and put up for auction on eBay?
Ethically though, I do not know the boundaries of prescribing meds in someone else's name. I think the FDA might take a dim view of that. Don't we have a med student/pharmacist on this board that could comment on that?

Current "baby daddy" possibilities: 4

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/496321p-418242c.html

Anna's baby girl may be from sperm her
husband had frozen before he died at 90

Anna Nicole Smith's death became even more bizarre than her life yesterday as a series of bombshell revelations uncovered an ever-growing web of sexual intrigue - including the startling claim that her late billionaire husband may be the father of her infant daughter.
The stunning disclosure comes in a no-holds-barred manuscript written by her half-sister Donna Hogan obtained exclusively by the Daily News.

Hogan alleges that her sister froze the sperm of 90-year-old J. Howard Marshall years ago, and believes she may have used it to become pregnant.

The revelation topped even the unseemly paternity suit that raged in a Los Angeles court less than 24 hours after Smith's death.

The former Playmate's live-in companion and her former boyfriend Larry Birkhead both claim they are the father of baby Dannielynn - the little girl who could inherit up to half of Marshall's $1.6 billion fortune.

They weren't the only ones laying claim to Dannielynn yesterday.

Smith's mother, Vergie Arthur, flew to the Bahamas yesterday to see her grandchild for the first time. The infant had been left with friends in the Bahamas.

And amid all the legal maneuvering, Zsa Zsa Gabor's wacky husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, made the bizarre claim that he fathered Smith's daughter. A publicist for Gabor, 90, said von Anhalt was full of it.

But even the battle to be named the father of Dannielynn was overshadowed by the claims in Donna Hogan's unpublished manuscript.

In the aptly named "Train Wreck" - written with author Stacy Brown - Hogan says: "I wouldn't be shocked at all if it's J. Howard's. She saved his sperm after all and that maybe [sic] her trump card in her fight to get the old man's estate."

Depicting her half-sister as ever calculating, Hogan wrote that Smith was "seeing into the future. ... She takes Howard in to have his sperm tested. When the results show that he is still fertile, she has a quantity of his sperm frozen."

Hogan wrote that when her half-sister announced to the world she was pregnant, she declined to name the father.

"To her family, she hinted that she had used the old man's frozen sperm, and would be giving birth to Howard Marshall's child," the manuscript claims.

Later in the book while discussing the paternity fight, Hogan unleashed one of her many scathing descriptions of her half-sister.

"That's my sister for you. That b---h probably doesn't even know who the father is. Soon she'll probably say it's J. Howard's," Hogan wrote.

Hogan could not be reached for comment yesterday, but in an interview with "Inside Edition" she said, "I don't want people to talk about the crazy stuff. ... I want them to remember her for being full of life."

Nevertheless, Hogan describes a campaign by Smith to marry the aging oil baron and then the cold hearted way she treated her "Paw Paw" after the ring was on her finger.

Hogan, who uses Smith's given name Vickie in the manuscript, wrote that her sister met "Old Man Howard" at a Houston strip club called Gigi's, where Smith worked as a stripper and the wheelchair-bound geriatric was a regular.

"For several weeks, she played hard to get, before agreeing to grant him special favors outside the club," she wrote.

Smith married Marshall in 1994 when she was 26 and he was 89 - over the objections of the oil man's son, E. Pierce Marshall.

After the wedding, however, she treated her husband like a dog.

"She refused to allow him to lie next to her, stating that he would urinate in bed," Hogan he wrote.

Smith tore through Marshall's finances accumulating jewelry, houses, luxury cars while cheating on him "with household servants, girlfriends and married men."

She would leave him for weeks at a time, refuse to return his many phone calls, and when she did spend time with him, Smith was often oblivious to his frailties.

Once, Smith dragged Marshall out to dinner even though he was ill and "left J. Howard in his wheelchair in the rain."

But when Marshall finally had enough, Smith scampered back "to ensure her place as heiress to his fortune."

"Do you miss your rosebuds?" Smith said at one encounter with breasts bared and a tape recorder running, Hogan wrote.

"Train Wreck" states that Marshall "clearly loved Vickie," and that he called her almost daily, calls she generally ignored. She didn't even visit the old man for the last month of his life.

At the end, Marshall had had enough.

"On the night before he died, J. Howard refused Vickie's phone call. He died tired of Vickie," Hogan wrote.

Marshall's death in 1995 set off a court battle for his $1.6 billion estate that continues to this day.

The bitter legal war with Marshall's son lasted a decade, but it immediately became a fierce fight over every little detail of Marshall's life - even his remains.

The son and widow went to court over who got possession of Marshall's ashes and they decided to split the ashes - what Hogan calls a "half-ash settlement."

Edit: Saw this on one of the wrestling news websites:

Former WWE Diva Joanie "Chyna" Laurer appeared on Larry King Live on CNN last night to talk about the sudden passing of Anna Nicole Smith. They have a connection because they filmed the movie "Illegal Aliens" last year (it's supposed to be released in April, but the movie's release may be put on hold). Laurer started off by telling King that she "saw this coming" and that she felt sorry for her friend Anna because people often made fun of her. Laurer was in the studio and ended up arguing with Monique Goen, the wife of Trimspa CEO Alex Goen, who was in a separate studio. Goen accused Laurer of using Smith's death to get publicity for herself. Goen also said that Anna called Laurer "a stalker" and that she was not friends with her. In the months prior to Smith's death, Laurer said that she tried to call her, but Anna wouldn't return her calls. Although, Laurer was fine with it because she felt that Anna wanted to be isolated from everyone while she was going through a rough time. Laurer also said that she was often invited by Anna "to come over and hang out at the pool," thus meaning that they were friends.

If she used the Marshall sperm, that would be a very interesting case because as his heir and other than some contractual waiver, that baby is due the inheritance along with his other kids. But, she seemingly would have done this way before this.

Maybe she wanted to lose the weight and be (relatively) healthier before getting pregnant?

Attorney Takes Control of Anna Nicole Smith's Bahamas Mansion

Saturday , February 10, 2007

NASSAU, Bahamas —

The locks at the Bahamas mansion where Anna Nicole Smith had been living were changed Saturday for the second time in 24 hours, as a lawyer for the late reality TV star said he had retaken possession of the estate.

Outside the gated mansion known as "Horizons," attorney Wayne Munroe also told a small scrum of reporters that he had filed a robbery complaint with police over computer equipment and other personal effects allegedly taken from the home. He did not disclose further details.

Photos: Celebrity | Controversy | Tragedy

The 39-year-old former Playboy playmate, who died at a Florida hotel on Thursday, had claimed that U.S. developer and former boyfriend G. Ben Thompson bought her the house as a gift.

The impromptu press conference outside the mansion's gates came several hours after Godfrey Pinder, an attorney for Thompson, announced he had taken control of the residence in the exclusive New Providence neighborhood by changing the locks on Friday on behalf of his client. Thompson has said the house was on loan to Smith, with whom he had a brief relationship.

But Monroe said the property belongs to Howard K. Stern — Smith's companion, who is listed on a birth certificate as the father of Smith's 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern.

He added that he did not know the whereabouts of Dannielynn, who is at the center of a broadening legal battle, but emphasized that Stern is due custody of the baby.

"As the other registered parent, Howard Stern has the right to speak to the custody of Dannielynn. That has to be respected unless and until a court — not a person — says otherwise," Munroe said, standing next to Pinder.

Smith's ownership of the mansion, which her lawyer said she bought in July for $900,000, was the basis of her claim to residency in the Bahamas. In a lawsuit, Smith asked a court to recognize her purchase and reject a claim on the house by Thompson, a South Carolina developer.

The island chain's Supreme Court has scheduled a Feb. 26 hearing on the matter, Munroe said.

Witnesses reported seeing Stern inside the mansion with TV crews shortly before the attorneys spoke to reporters, and Munroe confirmed that he was in Nassau. Several SUVS with black-tinted windows exited the gated mansion's grounds earlier.

Earlier in the day, Pinder said Bahamian Immigration Minister Shane Gibson's mother was permitted into the waterfront home late Friday to remove some of Smith's personal effects, including clothes and jewelry. The government official was a friend of the late reality TV star.

And on Friday, a pickup carried a crib and an infant's car seat from the mansion to Gibson's house in the middle-class Marathon area. Later, a baby could be heard crying inside the house. Gibson did not return calls seeking comment Saturday.

The exact whereabouts of Dannielynn, who was not with Smith on Thursday when she died in Florida, were unclear Saturday.

Experts say the decision of who receives custody could determine the child's inheritance. Smith was in a long legal battle over the fortune of her late husband, Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II.

Smith's mother arrived Friday in Nassau, where the late star's son died last year under mysterious circumstances, to check on the welfare of her granddaughter, according to Reginald Ferguson, assistant commissioner for the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

Arthur, who was reportedly staying in a resort in Nassau's famed Cable Beach, could not be reached for comment Saturday. She told ABC's "Good Morning America" that she believes her daughter died from a drug overdose.

A birth certificate for Dannielynn lists Stern as the girl's father, but two other men have challenged for paternity. A former boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, has filed suit claiming he is the father. On Friday, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, announced that he had a decade-long affair with Smith and may be the girl's father.

Smith gave birth to Dannielynn on Sept. 7. Three days later, her 20-year-old son, Daniel Smith, died while visiting her in the hospital. A medical examiner hired by the family concluded he died from an accidental, lethal combination of methadone and antidepressants, but results of an official autopsy have not been released.

TRIMSPA Customers Mourn Anna Nicole

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anna made such an impact on my life, I would have to say that she saved my life. If it were not for Anna and Trimspa, I just dont know what my life would be like today.

When I woke up this morning I am more determined more than ever to live my life to the fullest and the best to me.

I will always love Anna for the fun loving woman she is and I will be one of many people to carry that Trimspa Baby Attitude!

--Marla E. (Killeen, Texas)

Anna publicly displayed what so many of us go through privately - that struggle with weight gain that feels so out of control, so unbeatable. When she made that choice to lose the weight, get in shape, and show the world that yes, it can be done - it gave me hope. I too am more determined than ever to let her legacy live on by meeting my goals and letting that healthy person inside of me out!
Anna was so full of LIFE. She grabbed the world by the horns and never let go! You never know when today could be your last - go after your dreams, laugh all the time, show your love daily, and squeeze every ounce of joy out of each breath! Thank you Anna!

--Heather W. (Kennesaw, Georgia)

We will strive to carry forward the message of healthy fit bodies and that powerful attitude. May you rest in peace, Anna Nicole.

--Heather (Georgia)

I very much admire how devoted Anna Nicole was to Trimspa with so much enthusiasm and dedication to helping others with their own personal weight struggles. Even though she had setbacks and faced much adversity, she always managed to make everything come out right in the end.

--Brad N. (Forney, TX)

Anna inspired many people including myself to live a better life and to press on no matter what the future may bring....It seems as though everytime a door closed she endured and continued on...No matter what the media said....She was and always will be beautiful, uinique and amazing....

Anna may not realize that she inspirired me to lose weight and introduced me to life long friends within the Trimspa community....

Thank you Trimspa and thank you Anna....

--Alison D. (Boise, Idaho)

I knew that if she could do it, then so could I. Seeing her healthy beauty, made me want my healthy beauty back too. ;o) And her wild side...not being afraid to show it...not worrying about how others perceived her...being herself.

--Susan L. (Florida)

Anna is a true inspiration and will be greatly missed.

--Crystol B. (Texas)

The aspects of Anna that inspired me was her happiness that she always displayed when out in public. I know what it feels like to be the outsider. She never let the media stop her for being who she truly was, a shining star and a winner. In the wake of her death, it has made me re-examine how I take care of myself and that your body is a temple that needs to be cared for and not hated. Life is too precious to let slip away because of our own self-hatred of who we want to be or what we want instead of being thankful for what you already have. Rest in Peace, Anna. You will be truly missed.

--Amanda M. ( Charleston, SC)

Even though I never met you in person, I want to say Thank You to Anna Nicole for being in my life and being part of a huge change for me and others.

--April (Michigan)

Today is such a bittersweet day for me. I have a clipping in my "transformation" photo album that is a picture of Anna Nicole and under it is written the words " my inspiration" Today Feb 9, after 360 days of Trimspa, healthy food choices and exercising, I hit my goal weight. I love you Anna. You were my inspiration and I transformed my life because of you. I knew if you could do it so could I. My heart is broken. The only comfort that I have is Alex Goen's statement that our love and affection on the OC meant the world to you. Today my tears of sorrow far outweigh my tears of joy.

--Marla H (Vermilion, Ohio)

Anna will be missed by many people......she was OUR inspiration.

--Debbie B. (Massachusetts)

Anna Nicole was a modern day Marilyn Monroe. She represented strength; in that she was as beautiful as she was strong. She was a woman that has been through tremendous adversity in her life but seemed to always persevere.
I respected Anna because she never compromised who she was. She marched to the beat of her own drum even if it was not necissarily accepted.

She was a source of hope and inspiration for the thousands of people that joined the TRIMSPA Challenge; myself included.

Rest in Peace Beautiful Anna. Thank You for making a difference in my life and making the world a better, happier place.

--Cassie T. (Menominee, Michigan)

Anna has inspired me in so many ways by losing weight...Thank you and we will always miss you and you will have a place in our hearts!

--Beverly G. (Eight Mile, Alabama)

Two years ago I saw the commercial for the Trimspa Challenge several times. I kept thinking there was no way that product would work, it's got to be like everything else out there. The thing that changed my mind was seeing Anna, so beautiful. Anna had lost her weight, I could too. I had to try. I did and haven't stopped. I never will. Anna has inspired me like so many others to lose weight and live a healthier life.

--Patty S. (Simsbury, CT)

Anna inspired me in so many ways. She wasnt affraid to show who she really was, she had that struggle with her weight as so many of us do, she wasnt affraid to say enough is enough and do something about it. With the help of TRIMSPA and a life style change Anna reached her goal. Thanks To Anna and TRIMSPA I can look in the mirror and love the person i see. Anna did some great things to help alot of people and for that, i know she is proud of what she has helped others occomplish.ANNA YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART!

From what I understand, they were antibiotics and some Valium, which are not what people OD on. Also, if she had a nurse, the nurse would be administering the pills.

The final autopsy will say for sure though.

Technically I think you could OD on valium. You'd have to take an awful lot. You'd probably vomit them up before you would OD on them though.

I have wondered about this from the very begining of this whole story.

Um yeah. That's why you wrote a book about what a bitch she is that is probably going to sell like hotcakes now and make you one hell of a lot of money. Anna's family sure put the fun in dysfunctional.

1. I doubt she ever took Trimspa -- rather, she had a nutritionist, trainer, and, likely, a good surgeon. I mean she had a taught, lean body and that cannot be achieved without diet and exercise. She also likely was on Primabullen or some other human steroid, which melts fats at the drop of a hat. I mean it is LA

2. The law suit against Trimspa is not that is was dangerous - it was that it did not work - to wit:

Smith, TrimSpa sued in class-action suit

Tue Feb 6, 12:30 PM ET

LOS ANGELES - Anna Nicole Smith and TrimSpa Inc. have been sued in a class-action lawsuit alleging their marketing of a weight-loss pill is false or misleading.

Janet Luna and three people identified as her guardians were named in a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The lawsuit alleges deceptive business practices and a violation of California's unfair competition law.

They are asking for unspecified damages, restitution and an injunction preventing Smith and New Jersey-based TrimSpa, maker of TrimSpa X32, from making claims that users of the pills can lose substantial amounts of weight.

Smith, 39, has endorsed TrimSpa and is a spokeswoman.

A message left early Tuesday with Joseph Farzam, an attorney for the plaintiff, wasn't immediately returned.

Ron Rale, Smith's lawyer, said Smith hadn't seen the lawsuit.

"This is news to us," he said, adding that "I'm sure to be speaking to her about it."

Last month, the Federal Trade Commission announced TrimSpa would pay $1.5 million to settle allegations that the company's weight-loss claims were unsubstantiated.

TrimSpa released a statement following the announcement saying it supported actions to clean up the weight-loss industry, but disputed the federal agency's allegation that a handful of TrimSpa advertisements that ran in 2003 and 2004 had insufficient substantiation.

TrimSpa also disagreed with any inference that its X32 product has no scientific support.

Oy. I suspected she was on loads of methadone...the nodding in interviews and all. What interests me is the baby. She was released from the hospital three days after her birth....so I doubt she was born addicted. Anna could not have just quit methadone when she got pregnant, it does not work that way. Maybe the baby was born addicted and was wheened off of it at home with a private nurse and pediatrician? This whole story is one F'd up mess. I would not be shocked if Howard gets charged in all this. The scripts are all in his name!

Well, she had pneumonia - so, that could be what the IV drugs were for. As for the Methadone, I do not know what to say about that. She was addicted to pain pills in the 90's and went to rehab to get off of them.

Also, it is possible she was a heroine addict when she was a stripper in Texas. She was VERY thin then

But, even if she had been on Methadone, there is no evidence yet to suggest that that is what killed her via an overdose. Maybe she had a bad reaction like her son did.

The autopsy is going to be very revealing and sad.

According to reports last night, Howard's "spirits are lifted" now that he has been able to hold Dannilynn. It was also reported that he made the following statement with regard to AN's mother: "over my dead body" will that woman have anything to do with her.

IMO, based on everything that has happened, the allegations, etc, Dannilynn should be in protective custody until this is all sorted/resolved.

It would be difficult to do as Bahamian law governs this case.

Here is a site on child abduction to The Bahamas
http://travel.state.gov/family/abduction/country/country_529.html

While this child was not really abducted because paternity has yet to be established in The Bahamas and Stern is presumed to be the father, it is good for general info.

Interestingly, the photographer who alleges paternity should have filed the suit in The Bahamas because that is the proper jurisdiction. If he had done so, the DNA testing would be over and done with. That he did not IMO weighs against his credibility.

Here is what Stern's laywer said - and he has a point as the chain of evid. was broken when other people entered that house:

Reports: Methadone, Other Drugs Found in Anna Nicole Smith's Bahamas House

Monday , February 12, 2007

NASSAU, Bahamas —

Photos posted Sunday on the Web suggest that Anna Nicole Smith's diet during her final days included methadone and Slim-Fast nutrition drinks.

The shocking pictures — also showing a box of TrimSpa abandoned next to the small fridge — are now the center of still another legal battle involving the former Playmate and her estate.

The Bahamian lawyer for Smith's live-in lover, Howard K. Stern, yesterday went to the police accusing the couple's landlord of breaking into their home and staging the photos, which appeared on TMZ.com.

"They staged photos, such as putting TrimSpa and Slim-Fast in a refrigerator to slight her," the furious attorney, Wayne Munroe, told The Post. "It was like grave robbery."

Smith had been a spokeswoman for TrimSpa, not Slim-Fast.

"I thought it was cute to put the Slim-Fast in the refrigerator," said Munroe. "Sick is how I described the placing of the methadone."

Munroe claimed landlord G. Ben Thompson — who was once Smith's lover — organized the break-in and staged the photos. Stern has filed for a restraining order against Thompson and his associates.

He said Thompson's cronies also stole a computer, paintings and drawings of the buxom vixen from the island home where Smith and Stern had been living for six months.

But Thompson's lawyer, Godfrey "Pro" Pinder, scoffed, "No person who has any association with G. Ben Thompson has taken anything from the house."

As for Thompson staging any photos, Pinder added, "It's not true. It's a lie."

Munroe said Stern returned to the home on Saturday after sailing from Florida on the yacht that he and Smith had recently purchased. He said Smith had christened the boat The Cracker.

Stern was on the 40-foot boat, speaking by phone to the broker who sold it to him, when he got a frantic call telling him that Anna Nicole had collapsed in their Hollywood, Fla., hotel.

"He suddenly said, 'I gotta go!' " said the broker, Mark Dekema.

V&G Yachtworks owner Vince Pyle told The Post that one of his workers was at sea with Stern, giving him a trial run on the used, 10-year-old boat "when Howard got the phone call.

"The minute he got the phone call, Howard said, 'Oh, my God, I need to get back to the dock right away! My wife is in trouble!" Pyle said, quoting his worker.

"He told [the worker] who his wife is. They went back to the docks, and [the employee] helped him off quickly."

But it was a 20-minute ride from the Fort Lauderdale marina to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, and Stern may not have made it in time.

Smith was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, about 30 minutes after her nurse called 911.

Dekema, who works for Reel Deal yachts in Miami Beach, said Smith had visited the boat earlier in the week.

"Anna Nicole wanted a boat where she could lay down outside on the boat deck," Dekema said. "We made some interior changes. She liked the color pink and she wanted big-screen TVs."

The couple had flown to Florida on Monday to pick up the boat and were scheduled to sail to the Bahamas on Friday.

Instead, Stern sailed the boat home with only Capt. Eric Dickson by his side.

After the boat docked, Stern reclaimed Smith's baby daughter - now the subject of a bitter paternity battle - from a friend who was watching her.

Munroe said Stern and the baby were still inside the home yesterday.

Munroe also lashed out at Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, who was seen driving around the home, accompanied by a crew for "Good Morning America."

Arthur has joined forces with Smith's ex-boyfriend, photographer Larry Birkhead — who is battling Stern in a California paternity suit — over custody of the baby girl.

Could this get ANY weirder??

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) -- A newspaper published two photographs on its front page Monday showing Anna Nicole Smith lying in bed fully clothed in an embrace with the Bahamian immigration minister, who approved her application for permanent residency.

Immigration Minister Shane Gibson has come under criticism from the political opposition for giving the former Playboy Playmate special treatment in granting Smith -- who died Thursday in Florida -- residency in the Bahamas last year.

The residency application was based on Smith's purported ownership of a waterfront mansion. But G. Ben Thompson, a South Carolina developer once dated Smith, has said he had not given Smith the house as a gift as her lawyers have asserted. Thompson is attempting to reclaim the house.

A representative of Anna Nicole Smith's companion, Howard K. Stern, scrambled on Monday to control dissemination of items he said were stolen from the mansion over the weekend before he returned from Florida, including images from a computer taken from the house.

Ron Rale, Stern's spokesman, said in a statement Monday that anyone who disseminates any of the items without his prior written consent "will be held liable to the fullest extent of the law." Rale said police have recovered all the missing property.

Two photographs published on the front page of The Tribune of Nassau show Smith and Gibson looking into each other's eyes with their faces only a couple inches apart while lying on a bed decorated with pink flowers and a white ribbon. The newspaper said the photographs were taken in Smith's bedroom and that it obtained the pictures Sunday from an unidentified source.

Opposition leader Hubert Ingraham said he was looking into the matter.

"I'm making some inquiries," Ingraham told The Associated Press.

All of Smith's personal items, including the birth certificate of her 5-month-old daughter, whose paternity is being disputed by three men, had been taken from the house, Rale said.

Stern over the weekend reclaimed the Bahamas mansion along with 5-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. They had lived in the gated waterfront estate, known as "Horizons," before Smith died last week.

Stern said he is trying to keep Smith's mother, Vergie Arthur, who traveled from the United States and went to the gates of the mansion on Sunday, from seeing Dannielynn.

"She just despised that woman," Stern said, in a video segment broadcast Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America."

"As long as I have one breath left in my body that woman will not see Dannielynn," Stern said.

Arthur told "Good Morning America" that she fears for Dannielynn's safety, pointing out that Stern has been present when Smith's 20-year-old son, Daniel Smith, died under mysterious circumstances in a Bahamas hospital room while visiting his mother days after Dannielynn was born.

A coroner hired by Smith's family said Daniel died in September from a lethal combination of drugs, including methadone. An inquest into his death is scheduled to begin March 27.

"I do have a problem with her being with Howard Stern," Arthur said. "I had a daughter and I had a grandson. He was there when both of them died. Now I only have a granddaughter left, and now he has her, and I'm afraid for her."

Stern is listed on a birth certificate as Dannielynn's father. But two other men have challenged the claim.

A former boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, has filed a lawsuit claiming he is the father. On Friday, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, announced that he had a decade-long affair with Smith and he may be the girl's father.

The New York Daily News has reported that a manuscript it obtained says Smith froze the sperm of her late 90-year-old husband, Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II, before his death and may have used it to become pregnant.

Since Marshall's death in 1995, Smith had been waging a court battle over his estate. A federal court in California awarded Smith $474 million, but that was later overturned. But in May, the U.S. Supreme Court revived her case, ruling that she deserved another day in court.

Experts say the decision of who receives custody could determine the child's inheritance.

Usually, the will has to contain special language to that effect. Though Bahamanian law could be different.

Isn't that what Janet Jackson takes to drop the weight? The steroids, I mean.

Stern isn't presumed to be the father, his name is on the birth certificate. Also, there was that commitment ceremony. I'm half expecting a surprise marriage license to show up. Then it's game over with Bahamian law, ism't it?

Steroids are no automatically bad for you, esp. if you take the human ones as opposed to the cow ones. Agreed that you are likely better off without them, but they can be used to gain musle and drop fat. The new designer one is human growth and it works wonders. But, it has it's drawbacks in that apparently it can accelerate cancer growth already growing in you.

Note - I do not take any of these.

Well, it is a little tricky. She was declared a resident, but ownership of the house was required and she may not own it. Moreover, the presumption can be rebutted by DNA testing. As for the wedding, the ceremony alone likely was not enough to call them married.

Anna Nicole Smith Was Headed for 'Drug-Free Stay' in Dubai
Monday , February 12, 2007

By Roger Friedman

ADVERTISEMENTThree days before she died, Anna Nicole Smith was planning a long stay in Dubai.

More precisely: Her attorney, lover and perhaps father of her baby, Howard K. Stern, was making plans to bring her to Dubai, a seaside city in the United Arab Emirates that serves as a hot spot for the rich and famous.

An insider who was in on the negotiations tells me: "Howard knew she was around drugs all the time and wanted to bring her to a place where there aren't any. He really wanted to bring her here."

The source says that Stern was concerned for Smith's health and safety and reached out to the sultan of Brunei for help in getting her to Dubai.

When Smith's death was announced, the people on the other end were in shock.

"We couldn't believe it. We thought they were coming here. It's very sad."

For what it's worth, the Dubai insiders — having had e-mail correspondence with Stern in the days leading up to Smith's death — say the attorney is getting a raw deal in the press.

"He's a good man," the source said. "He was trying to take care of her."

Yeah, but you'd have to take a ****load of Valium to OD, so there would most likely be something left in the stomach. IMO.

The more I think about it, I think you're right - strong probability of a drug interaction, whether legal or not. Simple OTC cold remedies can easily increase your heart rate by themselves, let alone in combination with other stuff. Plus, you know damn well that most people don't take it as directed.

Here is a link showing the contents of ANS' frige. We can see the methadone, but, what are in those vials with the red stripes. Any nurses know - Paula - Curtis?

The clear one looks like sterile water or sodium chloride to reconstitute powdered meds for injection, but it could also be lidocaine (numbing agent.) Or some other med I've never seen before.

Not sure about the shorter fatter vial, could be anything really.

EDIT: How do we know this pic is legit? Just curious, it just seems so....obvious. Like it was planted for people to see - the diet food/drink, the Trimspa box on the floor, the drugs sitting on the bottom shelf - something doesn't seem right to me. And B12 does NOT need to be refrigerated (neither does sterile water, lido, etc.), so I have no clue why it would even be in there.

I am really torn about Howard, too. He was obviously an enabler but he had to have cared about this girl, too. I mean he has been with her for years, 24 hours a day. She has not seen a penny of JHM's milions yet so I am having a hard time believing HKS cared only about her money. I read ANS has been in rehab numerous times so I would bet HKS tried to get her help. The "Dubai" story is weird, but again, it seems he wanted to get her help. No one can force another to quit drugs, no matter how much they may want them too. The whole thing is so nuts but also intriguing.

I agreee with this. Also, I think she was doing ok until Daniel died and that, understandably, sent her over the deep end. And, not just on narcotics; I think she lost her will to live.

Current claims to be the baby daddy: 5

He claims to be Anna Nicole's secret lover, and now, in this “Extra” world exclusive, a heartbroken Alexander Denk drops a bombshell about Baby Dannielynn’s real father and Anna’s secret medical condition that may have caused her death.

“She told me everything,” Denk told us. “She told me things no one else knows.”

Denk, who was Anna Nicole's bodyguard for two years, first met the supermodel when he was cast as the chef on "The Anna Nicole Show.”

“I think it was an instant spark, and I think for her it was the same,” he said.

Denk claims he and Anna had a passionate love affair that lasted for two years.

“She was wonderful,” he insisted. “A very sensitive and emotional woman. A very good kisser, I must say.”

But Alexander told “Extra” that he knew Anna was in trouble the last time he talked to her two weeks ago, a conversation that now haunts him.

“She was sick of being called names,” he said. “Everyone was bashing on her and calling her names and putting her down and suing her.”

Now, only on “Extra,” Denk breaks this stunning secret about Anna's health that could affect the investigation into her death. He claims the reality TV star suffered from life threatening seizures, for which she was on medication.

But Denk does not believe drugs were to blame for Anna Nicole’s death.

“My opinion, I don’t think so,” he told us. “I think she was exhausted.”

Then, Denk dropped the baby bombshell we never saw coming. When asked if Smith ever revealed to him the real father of Dannielynn, Denk responded, “She always told me she wanted to have her kids with me.”

So is there a possibility Denk is Dannielynn’s father?

“There’s always a possibility,” he insisted.

Alexander hired prominent Beverly Hills attorney Cyrus Nownejad, and he made it clear he wants to raise Baby Dannielynn if she is his.

But for now, his thoughts are with his lost love.

“Poor Anna, Denk said through tears. “I hope she’s in peace wherever she is.”

N.Grace had the man who conducted the autopsy on Daniel on her show last night. Initially he said he would not be conducting the autopsy, but it seems he will be playing a role now. he made curious statements about the testing being conducted, and when pressed about a urinalysis he stated he does have those results but wants to await full results of all tests (including files produced by the doctor who last treated her for fever/etc) until he releases everything to the media to piece together the puzzle. He was not expecting the urinalysis question and was completely caught off guard.

Howard has filed a court papers to have the body released immediately for embalming. It seems there is a dispute of whether the body should be released to Howard or AN's mom. Once that is resolved, this guy has offered to have the embalm conducted at the coroner's office to avoid a media onslaught during a transport of the body to a funeral home.

Denz was interviewed...seems he dug up some old pics of him and AN together. Nancy asked him where he has been in the last 5 months of the child's life. Denz response was that his last convo with AN included her asking him if he would be a supportive father and him "giving her a hug." He further stated that was before she had the baby and he had not heard from her since. I do not believe a word of his story thus far.

A reporter stated last night that if Howard wanted to truly resolve the "badrap" he is whining about, he would offer to take a lie detector test. Also, I read this morning that a judge ruled Howard is not allowed to leave the Bahamas based on a request by AN's mom.

"After frantic pleas by Anna Nicole Smith's mother, a Bahamian judge yesterday slapped Howard K. Stern with a court order preventing him from whisking the late centerfold's baby out of the Caribbean country. Smith's mom, Virgie Arthur, begged the court to take action, saying she fears for the safety of her 5-month-old granddaughter as long as baby Dannielynn remains with Stern… Arthur declined further comment, but her friend David Lee explained that she blames Stern for the deaths of her daughter and grandson, Daniel Smith. "There's two common denominators in the deaths of her daughter and her grandchild - drugs and Howard K. Stern," Lee said."

Details of Anna Nicole Smith's last will and testament have been revealed by her attorney Howard K Stern. Stern - who was also the tragic model's last lover - said on US television: "Everything went to her son Daniel. Now, because Daniel's gone and Dannielynn is an only child, everything goes to Dannielynn. Everything." The will was reportedly drawn up around six years ago, and was not changed after Daniel's death in September 2006. The attorney added: "I am named as the executor in that will, and I was also appointed or named as Daniel's guardian in that will. And again, that was way back in 2001."

The plot thickens:

NASSAU, Bahamas -- Howard K. Stern hit several setbacks Tuesday in the continuing battles being waged since Anna Nicole Smith died Feb. 8. His sister said that Smith had told her she was uncertain of the paternity of her daughter, Dannielynn. And a court here barred Stern from taking Dannielynn out of the country.
Stern's sister speaks:

Bonnie Stern says Smith told her months before Dannielynn's Sept. 7 birth that Larry Birkhead could be the father. "When I spoke to (Smith) in March, when she found out she was pregnant, I took her shopping, and she told me the baby was due in mid-October, and that one other person could have been the father and that was Larry Birkhead, but nobody else."

What it means: Smith herself expressed uncertainty about her baby's father, which could bolster the freelance journalist's case. And the other men who claim they may be the father may lose credibility.

^^^

That was at one point in time. Months later and after the birth, she may have realized it was Howard's child.

In the end and though I liked her a great deal - she was a hooker. Having said that, hookers usually are very careful not to get pregnate and surely her rich John's made sure they did not get her pregnant. So, who knows for sure. In the end, if Howard Stern wanted to end this, he would have taken the DNA test months ago. That he has not speaks volumes as to his credibility. it also speaks volumes to him being the only man ANS trusted because Howard would then have a say in the rearing of the child and, possibly, access to ANS' money, which is why these men are caliming they fathered the child.
