I know - I have a little guit over that as well.
Did you see Howard with the news crew in the house - showing them how the house had been robbed :
That was disgusting. They took the original birth certificate with the baby's foot prints. You only get one of those and it's a very precious item. Not to mention all of the other stuff they stole. The house was completely ransacked. :distress:
As for #5 - I am sure all these likely banged her, but the sharks smell blood in the water. I mean if that baby did not stand to get whatever money ANS had left and the Marshall millions, does anyone really think these men would be admitting to being the father, much less wanting to rear the child
I'm secretly hoping that she did freeze J. Howards sperm and that the baby is his. Old Pierce would probably be rolling in his grave.
Also to add: I was at the hair salon getting my hair done today and all the other ladies and I that were there agreed that there was something very likeable and endearing about Anna Nicole. We all agreed her death was a tragic loss and worried for the baby.

If anything good comes out of this, that little Dannielynn will be with her real father and grow up in a stable, loving environment so she won't have that need for too much attention that ANS seemed to want or need in her life.
Perhaps, all those women (Lindsay, Britney, Nicole, Paris, and others) who live in Hollyweirdland and want fame will see how Anna Nicole's life turned out and use some common sense and want a more stable lifestyle:rolleyes:

I did watch some of Court TV's coverage yesterday. We had it on in the office and a few of the attorney's commented on the Judge. They all agreed...he is an idiot. Obviously he is jumping on the attention seeking bandwagon. One of my bosses was so offended when the Judge loudly announced "That baby's on ice". He thought the Judge was referring to Dannielynn. Sadly, that is how he was referring to ANS"s body. I was pretty shocked at how he conducted the proceedings yesterday. It was a chaotic mess and Birkhead's lawyers had no right to even be present. The whole thing gets sadder and nuttier by the day.

Former Playmate was pregnant at time of alleged prescription
Documents obtained by TMZ.com claim Anna Nicole Smith was prescribed methadone under a false name while she was pregnant.
LOS ANGELES - The man claiming to be Anna Nicole Smith's primary care physician, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor found himself in hot water yesterday when it was revealed he allegedly had prescribed a pregnant Smith methadone.
In documents obtained by TMZ.com, it was revealed that Dr. Kapoor wrote a methadone prescription for the star under the false name of "Michelle Chase." The prescription however was mailed to Anna under her real name Vickie Marshall in the Bahamas. Just days ago however, Dr. Kapoor claimed in an interview with Access Hollywood that Anna was not on drugs while she was pregnant with five-month-old Dannielynn.
"The baby didn't have any withdrawals. The baby was healthy so it's obvious that she was not taking drugs," he said. "Anyone [who would] have been taking hard medication when they were pregnant, there would have been some kind of problem with the child."
Since news broke about the methadone prescription, Dr. Kapoor has been unavailable for comment. He cancelled an interview with Access and was captured with his head covered while ducking in to a van in Los Angeles yesterday. His Southern California practice offices had the curtains drawn and the doors locked as well.
In our interview last Thursday, February 8th, Dr. Kapoor said his orders to Anna Nicole while she was pregnant were very simple.
"Just get a lot of rest the usual. I mean, you know, basically eat well, try to get a lot of rest. Slow down your schedule and you know she was gonna go get some R&R," he said.
Sandeep, who met Anna after her weight loss, confirmed a number of doctors were skeptical about treating Anna Nicole because of "media and other issues," he said. "For me it was about being an advocate for her health and it's about being responsible for new patients, not walking away from them."
The doctor also told Access he believed videos of Anna Nicole slurring her words were acting on the model's part.
"That baffles me," he said. "Part of it was to play up the media," he said. "A part of it I believe, was staged, was stunt."
When asked for his thoughts on why Narcan was administered to Anna Nicole by paramedics who treated her on the scene at the Hollywood, FL hotel where she was found unconscious, Dr. Sandeep said he was unaware of what she was on that would require that treatment.
"Since not seeing her since May I wouldn't want to speculate on what she could have taken," he said. "[In the case of] toxic ingestions, most emergency rooms would attempt to reverse something with that. It would only work in the case of an overdose of an opiate."

Well, in all honesty, if she was taking the methadone AS PRESCRIBED, it is better than doing heroin or oxycontin while she was pregnant. There are ALOT of pregnant women who are prescribed methadone maintenence. I have worked with quite a few at my job. The babies do have withdrawal but long term there is no damage to the child. If she was an opiate addict when she got pregnant, the doctors probably DID prescribe her methadone. Drugs like zanax or klonopin are far, far worse and would not be prescribed to a pregnant woman. I would be really pissed if she took those type of things while pregnant.

This judge really is running his own circus. I feel bad for L.B., V.A. and H.K.S. having to go through this but it seems they all fell short of taking care of Vickie Lynn Marshall. In all honesty, if H.K.S. were a better friend and lawyer, he would have encouraged Anna Nicole to clean up her act. He really seemed to be a bigger golddigger than she was:mad: She was his gravytrain.
It would be sad if her mother could not see her remains for the last time or even get to know her granddaughter. I am a mom and it is sad that Anna hated her mother so much that they never found peace with each other.
I saw a little of this at work today, well kind of listened to the audio while I was typing away. I saw some of the ET tape of her taking about her mother, Stern's testimony & her mother's testimony. I heard the doctor's phone call about how her body is deteriorating, especially the face. And knowing all this, the judge is still fooling around; I can't believe that he was going to let all this go on for three weeks! If he wanted to know the biography of Anna Nicole Smith, all he had to do was google her. I'm sure he could have found out more than he needed to know. That was a complete waste of time. He wastes a lot of time. He's a jerk. It should come down to what ANS would have wanted, not where her mother wants her to be buried, not where Stern wants her to be buried, not where the possible biological father of her baby wants her to be buried (and why is he even there for this?). They should honor what the dead wants & everyone knows, she wanted to be next to her son.

Huh? Daniel is buried in the Bahamas, where his mother bought him a burial plot. She also bought herself one right next to him. The only issue this idiot judge has any jurisdiction over is who should get her body. He must decide this issue based on ANNA's INTENT. So, she bought a plot for herself in the Bahamas, her son is buried in the Bahamas....obviously she wanted to be buried in the Bahamas. That abusive POS mother of Anna's is going to try to bring Daniel to Texas, too. This whole thing makes me sick and the Judge should be disbarred.

He is in mourning. He doesn't want to be involved in that circus of a Court. He wants to be home protecting his daughter. (legal daughter under Bahamian law) He was probably shocked and appauled by the whole proceeding.
That clown video was stolen from ANS's personal computer. Shown on the fabulous "Fox News". She may seem F'd up in the video to some but she always talked like a baby on her reality show. To me, the video was typical ANS....weird and bizarre. The "mushroom" comment was Howard asking if he was on shrumes because she was made up like a clown!

It is unclear if Bahamian law applies as ANS has yet to prove she owned that house, which is a requirement for residence.
Also, HS is presumed to be the father of the child, but that presumption is rebuttable through, say, a DNA test.
But, I agree with you, the behavior of all, save for maybe HS, is appalling. Whoever thinks these "fathers" would actually want that kid if it were broke is insane.

I think of all of the HS is acting in ANS' best interest. Again, she married him in an unofficial ceremoney (with the official on to follow) and she bought those plts and chose to bury her son in the Bahamas. Clearly, that demonstrates her intent with her child and body and HS is the only one executing that intent.

I just thought that perhaps if someone had documentation of her signing a contract/invoice or making payment with them that document may list the person the 2nd plot was intended for (AN) and that would help put to rest AN's intention.

This whole thing is being manipulated by the media. I am sure HS is getting some cashola for all his stuff appearing on the net. I think Birkhead is likely the least well paid, unless he has some card up his sleeve regarding paternity.
Moreover, I do not blame HS one bit for selling this to the vultures. This defense will cost him in the millions before it is said and done and HS has no access to any of ANS' money unless he is the father of the child, which he will have to spend likely a million to prove, if he can.

It's amazing that they found the one judge on the planet that had never heard about the whole ANS and the old guy (including his death and subsequent lawsuit). Are judges elected or appointed in Florida?

If she is buried anywhere else, it will go against her wishes because the mother had not discussed this issue with her in like ten or more years and IMO clearly is wanting to bury her in Texas and sell the rights to the funeral. Not that HKS won't profit off of that as well, but at least then it will be while honoring her wishes.
Also, I LOVED the questioning regarding the final resting place trial. That question was out of line and completely irrelevant to the issue.
I also love how LB's lawyer is sooooo acting for the cameras. This is a judge trial (no jury) and in a closed court, there are never any such theatrics and when a judge hears or sees such, they shut them down by saying "Counsel -- there is no jury for you to impress and play too and I have seen it all - so, don't bother"

I wondered about an appeal. If the ruling comes down Friday afternoon, will any appeals court want to touch this with a ten foot pole? To possibly delay moving a decomposing body to her final resting place?
This Judge is a friggin idiot, it could not be more obvious that he is trying his damndest to get jurisdiction over ALL the matters, including paternity. Thank God CA would not agree to that.
I have said before, I cannot stand Debra Opri. she is an aggressive, obnoxious, heartless bitch. Poor Vergie had to be treated with kid gloves but Howard could be ripped a new one repeatedly. They will have 30 days to appeal. There really is no exigent circunstances because the boday can always be exhumed and moved if the case is reversed, etc. But, either the trial judge (unlikely to stay his own hand) or the AC could issue a stay in the Trial Court's Order and leave poor ANS unburief while this tripe is on appeal - a situation I seriously doubt will hapen.
Regarding jurisdiction, the CA has no right to tell the FL court anything. So, if someone were to move in the FL court to establish paternity via DNA testing, in theory it could happen.
In the end, nothing said yesterday and regardless of the disgusting nature of just about all parties involved - ANS buried her son in the Bahamas and bought herself a plot there. Thus, this is all much ado about nothing but the money made on this circus.

He is a lawyer and the current gaurdian of Dannilynn. They are speculating that he will honor the judges wishes that she be burried next to Daniel, but who knows. They are saying that it may hinge on who is the baby's father. Millstein may want Anna to be burried near wherever the baby will end up living, and that depends on who the father is.

Yes, I see that, but I mean, Milstein was appointed guardian .. as an "outsider"? (So to speak). In that - he is not an attorney for any of the other players on this stage ... just an attorney the ruling judge has confidence in? Am I correct?

Sorry. No, he is not representing anyone else in the case. I don't know the details of how he was appointed gaurdian of Dannilynn. I can't say wether the judge has confidence in him or not. The judge pretty much declared that Dannilynn was next of kin and that the body should be released to her. Since she is just 5 months old the body is released to her gaurdian. Moreover, I do not blame HS one bit for selling this to the vultures. This defense will cost him in the millions before it is said and done and HS has no access to any of ANS' money unless he is the father of the child, which he will have to spend likely a million to prove, if he can.
Agreed on all points.

Agreed. It's clear she does NOT have the best interests of her daughter in mind, letting her decompose in a morgue when she could be buried. The woman infuriates me.

So...mom's appeal was denied.
I recently watched a partial of the last interview AN conducted with Larry King that, for some reason, is still on my mind. Howard was also a participant. Anna repeatedly babyspoke that people were suing her all the time, that she trusted no one and, due to this, she spent her time "alone." Are there other lawsuits other than that which she had with Smith? Was her attorney (Howard) drilling away at her trust of anyone other than him?

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (CNN) -- A Florida appeals court cleared the way Wednesday for Anna Nicole Smith to be buried next to her son, Daniel, in the Bahamas.
After the panel ruled Wednesday, one of the attorneys for Virgie Arthur, Smith's mother, told CNN there were no plans to appeal to the Florida Supreme Court, clearing the way for Smith's burial to take place.
The decision by a panel of three judges with the 4th District Court of Appeal upheld a lower court ruling that gave custody of Anna Nicole Smith's remains to the court-appointed guardian for her daughter, Dannielynn.
Last week, Broward Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin awarded custody of Smith's body to Richard Milstein, whom Seidlin had appointed as guardian ad litem for the nearly 6-month-old girl.
Arthur appealed that ruling, because Milstein wants the former Playboy playmate buried in the Bahamas and Arthur wants her daughter buried in Texas with other family members.
Milstein intends to have Smith buried next to her son, Daniel. The late model purchased the adjacent Bahamas burial plot after Daniel, 20, died in September, three days after Dannielynn's birth.
Howard K. Stern, Smith's partner and attorney who claims to be the biological father of Dannielynn, also wishes to have Smith buried in the Bahamas.
Any appeal of the decision by the panel of Florida's 4th District Court of Appeal would go to the Florida Supreme Court.
Christopher Carver, an attorney for Milstein, told the judges during Wednesday's hearing that a Bahamas funeral for Smith is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Joshua Perper, Broward County medical examiner, told reporters Smith's body probably will not be removed Wednesday from his office, where it has been stored during the legal battles, because he has not received a phone call to that effect. He expects embalmers from a funeral home to come to view the body and prepare it for shipping.
Perper said he is prepared to accompany Smith's body to the Bahamas, as Seidlin has asked.
Although he previously had warned that the body was decomposing and burial should be expedited, Perper said Wednesday, "I really hope that the body is in such condition that a second viewing will be possible."
At the center of the appellate court debate Wednesday was which case under Florida law should set the legal precedent to determine who gets custody of the body.
Representatives for Stern and Milstein argued that it is indisputable that Smith's wishes were to be buried with her son because she purchased a burial plot next to him.
But Arthur's attorneys argue that a strict reading of Florida law gives her custody of her daughter's remains. They said there is no written record of Smith's intentions, and when there is no spouse and no child at least 18 years old, custody of the body goes to the next of kin, which in this case is the mother.
Seidlin ruled last week that Dannielynn was to be considered next of kin.
Arthur's attorneys asked Seidlin to stay his original order, but he denied the request Monday. The judge said he is concerned about the deterioration of Smith's body.
Smith, 39, died February 8 at a Florida hotel and casino of undetermined causes. Her daughter was born in the Bahamas, and is living there with Stern.
Also in Broward County, a judge announced Wednesday that doctors hired by Larry Birkhead, one of several men claiming to be Dannielynn's father, can have access to DNA samples from Smith -- which are necessary for paternity tests.
Those samples are in the custody of the Broward County medical examiner.
But Judge Lawrence Korda rejected a request from Birkhead's attorneys asking him to order DNA samples from Dannielynn. Korda said he did not have jurisdiction and that order would have to come from authorities in the Bahamas.
Birkhead filed his paternity suit in California, and Korda consulted with the judge dealing with the case before rendering his decision Wednesday.
The legal battles in the Smith case reach beyond Florida.
In Nassau, Bahamas, Birkhead is seeking legal paternity and custody of the child. His attorney, Debra Opri, alleged outside a courthouse Monday that there is "fraud" in the birth certificate, but she didn't elaborate. Arthur also seeks custody. The next hearing is scheduled for March 16.
A South Carolina developer says he still owns the home where Stern and Dannielynn are living in the Bahamas. He says Smith never paid him for the house, although she claimed it was a gift. The judge hearing the case allowed Stern and Dannielynn to stay in the house pending a March 14 hearing.

I just heard on Fox that HKS set up the deal but the money goes to Dannielynn. Supposedly Anna did have money issues. Indeed. And someone who has touched lives and inspired the way Anna has is absolutely not nothing. She may have had her problems, but there were people out there who admired and found inspriation in her, and people who just liked her and were entertained by her, which is also something.
This whole thing was very sad and I was so happy that her "mother" dropped it and allowed the burial to take place. That woman made me so incredibly mad through this whole thing.

Sort of reminds me of the way Fox covers Bush. Every other report I heard said that HKS was clearly booed the loudest as he arrived at the funeral. So does everyone else, especially HKS and all of those lawyers. Virgie is her mother. She was kept away from her grandson who she took care of for his first five years of his life so Anna could go travelling around the world making her dream come true. So Virgie does deserve something from her daughter even if it is seeing her granddaughter grow up. Anna Nicole Smith was on drugs most of the time. Now I hear she had other things physically wrong with her too. I hope Larry Birkhead is Dannielynn's father and I hope he lets Virgie see her sometimes. I hope HKS never gets a dime of Anna's money. So Anna's feelings about her Mom should not be taken into consideration? Drugs do not make someone hate their Mother. People still have feelings and real emotions on drugs. We cannot dismiss ANS's feelings about Vergie, because she "took drugs". Vergie uses that excuse all the time "my daughter only hates me cause she's on drugs". That makes NO sense. Anna did not want her child around Vergie...that is good enough for me. Anna has always been a tortured soul...stuff like that usually is rooted in childhood. ANS's first rehab was in 1994...long before she met Howard. Howard also does not strike me as a murderer....enabler, yes. He was like a Father to Daniel. (Billy Smith has not SEEN Daniel since 1989) I am not sure how HKS could "give Anna" drugs, either. According to the nurses who cared for her 24/7, Anna controlled her own meds. The whole thing is sad and I am glad she is finally at peace.

Sleep drug killed Anna, 2 mags say

Anna Nicole Smith died of a lethal level of a potent sleep medication, but she had a raging blood infection that could have killed her had she not overdosed, an exclusive report revealed yesterday.
Smith took the speedy sleep-inducer chloral hydrate, which is sometimes used in "date rape" drugs, the night of Feb. 7 and never woke up, according to a joint investigation by sister publications the National Enquirer and the Star.
In its most stunning disclosure, the report says Smith's life might have been saved had she simply gone to a hospital rather than treating her severe fever, nausea and other infection symptoms on her own.
Smith's lawyer pal Howard K. Stern, a bodyguard and a nurse were with her in the days and hours leading up to her death.
The magazines' report comes days before Broward County Medical Examiner Dr. Joshua Perper is set to reveal his official findings about what killed the 39-year-old ex-model, who died Feb. 8 at a Florida hotel.
Smith's infection, which drove her temperature to a staggering 105 degrees, was caused by an injection in her left buttock with a needle that apparently was not properly sterilized, according to the report, posted on the Enquirer and Star Web sites.
Tests did not reveal what substance had been injected into Smith three days before she died, but a painful abscess developed, the report said.</center>

That happened to a professor of mine in college - he got an injection, but the needle was not properly sterilized - and he died within two days - it was awful and no one knew what had happened...and he was in perfect health otherwise...so that can definitely be a killer.
