If you listen to the part at the begining where they're just talking, then yes it certainly sounds like her. The vocal sounds like her too but that stuff can be manipulated. I always thought she was singing on Family Man until I found out it was Lindsey using a variable speed oscilator. He can mimic her harmony to a T and does so on many of his songs.

you should spend some time on other fan sites where these demos are posted. most of them have been readily available to fans; it's just taken most of us a lot of effort to collect them over time.

And the creme de la creme of all Stevie "demos," Julia take 5 (my personal favorite). The fan community just about wet ourselves when we heard the master of this song. It had been circulated as a late generation demo for a long time. Nothing prepared me for what it really sounded like. Beautiful. Why? I don't know. This song should have made it on to a record.

If you listen to the part at the begining where they're just talking, then yes it certainly sounds like her. The vocal sounds like her too but that stuff can be manipulated. I always thought she was singing on Family Man until I found out it was Lindsey using a variable speed oscilator. He can mimic her harmony to a T and does so on many of his songs.

I DO remember upon the recording timeline of The Wild Heart..Stevie discussing doing a additional track with Prince. I personally think it sounds like her. Obviously Wendy & Lisa were probably singing backgrounds on this too.

There are so many good demos here (thanks, all!) and I have been downloading even the ones I think I have (so I can compare) because truthfully, my boots and demos are so poorly organized. Once, I allowed Itunes to "organize" my files, and all of the mp3s got sorted into folders based on what demo collection they were ripped from. One day, I need to go look at those definitive lists, and just organize them chronlogically, and by Stevie recording project, so I can find things.

Honey, "Think About It" is jaw dropping.

The "Belladonna" track sounds like it was from very early 1980 when she was working on "Outside the Rain", "Sanctuary", and "Gypsy" with the Heartbreakers. Obviously, that piano track is Roy Bittan. Stevie's voice was really fragile at this point after the mammoth Tusk tour (think "Landslide" from the live album).

I freeking love her.

The live track of "Belladonna" is really overwhelming. She really, really should open with that song these days. The roar from the audience would be inhuman. Lots of people say "Rhiannon" or "Edge of Seventeen" is Stevie's signature song- but, for me, I think "Belladonna" is pretty much everything that Stevie Nicks is. It's rock- it's country- it's folk- it's mystical- it's inimitably her.

boo. well, that doesn't mean they're all expired - i would guess a good many of them aren't. i'm sure people have still been downloading them, which will keep them active. if you want a hosting site that leaves them up longer, there's always rapidshare, which will host them for 30 days after the last download. i've seen many of those links stay up for months and months and months.
