Three weeks ago today, the SF Giants took over first place for the first time since May. Today, they lost their 15th out of 18th games and fell to 6 1/2 out of first place, stinking up the cellar of the NL West.

There is no shot for the playoffs, so they need to fire manager Felipe Alou, get rid of the older guys they brought to build a team around Bonds, bring up the kids in the minors, and start planning for next year. That is the only way I can bear to watch them the rest of the year.

:distress:

How's your team doing?

Oh, and should be happy because across the bay the A's are rocking and should make the playoffs. And they are filled with hotties. But my heart just isn't with them.

the sox were in first all freakin' year and then starting tanking last week. i died a thousand deaths every time i went to check the standings... we may be on the up and up now but we need a few key players off the DL.

The Indians blow. I could cry a river. I haven't watched a game since David Ortiz hit that 3-run homer in the bottom of the 9th last week. :distress:

Being a Cleveland sports fan is a painful experience.

Honey, you've got Grady Sizemore. That alone should help you through the pain. :D

except for the collapse known as the Cubs 2006, my other teams are doing fine. The Texas Rangers are still in contention for the AL West, the only true LA team (Sorry California Angels) the Los Angeles Dodgers are in 1st, the Detroit Tigers are leading the Central, the Minnesota Twins are in the thick of it in the wild card along with a struggling BoSox team (Who need to start winning games-Mainly to keep the Chicago White SUX from making the playoffs!!!) and the Yanks are in first.

Oh, And it surely looks like that NL East streak of the Atlanta "1 World Series Win in 15 years" Braves will end this season!!! Thank God

Last place in the National League East. And I think I'm the only fan who thought they should have traded Soriano for prospects.

Take some solace in the fact that your team took 5 out of 6 against my team in the past two weeks. I happened to be in DC when the Giants were in town and went to all three (awful) games.

The Giants also should have traded some players for prospects.

There is much hope in SF that we can pick up Soriano for next year.

Well, I'm lucky that I am a fan of 2 teams, The Minnesota Twins, and the Boston Red Sox, both of which are doing well and in the postseason hunt.

They really have an excellent team, nice mix of veterans and younger players. Willie's doing a great job and so is the rest of his staff.

Giants have won two in a row! I learned the secret is I have to stop watching them and they'll win.

There's no way to catch the Dodgers, but I'm holding out for a wild card spot. Forever the optimist.

Baseball depression over! Giants have won 5 straight, and beat the Dodgers last night. I'm going to tonight's game, which will be a tough one against Maddux.

Start looking over your shoulder, chiliD! :D :D
