Stevie Nicks will continue to perform several songs with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers on the remainder of the tour. So fans will get a chance to see a live performance of the hit 1981 duet between Nicks and Petty, "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," along with other favorites.

Three of the shows on the tour's third leg will go on sale next week.

Highway Companions Club members will be invited to participate in special ticket presales for most shows. Due to the late announcement of these tour dates, and our continued success in battling scalpers, we have increased fan club presale ticket limits. Members may now buy up to six presale tickets for the 2006 tour, with a limit of two tickets for any one show.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will play the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Sept. 26. Highway Companions Club members can buy tickets in an exclusive presale on Tuesday, July 11, beginning at 10 a.m. PT. A local radio-sponsored presale, which is open to anyone who visits TomPetty.com, starts Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m. PT, and tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. PT on Sunday, July 16.

A pair of shows at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif., will also go on sale to the general public on Sunday, July 16. The exclusive Highway Companions Club presale begins at 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, July 11. The radio-sponsored presale begins on Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m. PT, and the public on-sale begins at 10 a.m. PT on Sunday, July 16.

In addition, event passes to the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas, where Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will appear on Sept. 17, are now available online. Event passes are good for all three days of the festival (Sept. 15 through Sept. 17).

New songs available on iTunes now
Two new songs from Tom Petty's new album, "Highway Companion," are now available at the iTunes Music Store. "Saving Grace" and "Big Weekend" can be purchased separately. "Highway Companion" will be in stores on July 25.

ABOUT HIGHWAY COMPANIONS CLUB PRESALES
We have reserved up to 1,500 premium seats from each show for Highway Companions Club presales. These tickets will be made available exclusively to club members on a first-come, first-served basis.

Members who purchase tickets in the presale will also receive Tom's new CD, "Highway Companion," free, courtesy of Ticketmaster.

Highway Companions Club members are limited to two tickets per show, and six total for the 2006 tour. In order to ensure tickets get into the hands of club members -- and not scalpers -- tickets are nontransferable and must be picked up at the venue's Will Call window on the night of the show. The credit card used to purchase the ticket and a government-approved ID will be required to claim the tickets.

We will offer the best seats that we can for our members during the presale, but we anticipate high demand for these premium tickets and we expect the presales in each market to sell out quickly. Club membership does not guarantee the ability to purchase tickets during the presale -- once the tickets are gone, we are sold out! However, club members will have the opportunity to purchase concert tickets again during the local radio presale and when they go on sale to the general public.

The annual fee for joining the fan club is $30.

In addition to the free CD and the opportunity to buy premium concert tickets early, members will also receive access to exclusive online benefits and other special features when the new TomPetty.com launches this summer, including:

Your own TomPetty.com e-mail address
Special offers from the TomPetty.com shop
Free streams, downloads and other members-only perks

SPECIAL TICKET PACKAGES -- CLUB MEMBERSHIP INCLUDED
Fans seeking the ultimate Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers experience may be interested in our Special Ticket Package, which puts you within the first 15 rows and includes the following perks:

Membership in the Highway Companions Club for one year
Custom commemorative tickets in honor of Tom Petty's 30th anniversary
A coupon good for $100 off any purchase from the Tom Petty online store
Access to a stream of Tom Petty's newest CD, "Highway Companion," two weeks prior to its release
Tom Petty's latest CD, "Highway Companion," mailed soon after its release

All tickets will be held at the box office Will Call for pickup by the purchaser. Picture ID required. No exchanges, name changes or refunds allowed.

LOCAL RADIO PRESALES
After the Highway Companions Club presales, all TomPetty.com visitors can purchase tickets via the traditional local radio station presales before tickets go on sale to the general public. Just listen to your local radio station for details and visit TomPetty.com for your presale password.

On the date of the presale, click the link below for the password and a link to buy tickets:

"On the remainder of the tour." Does that mean she'll be at all of those shows? I am seriously debating going out to visit my gay boyfriend in LA this fall - if she's coincidentally playing with Petty around the same time....

Amber - how far is LA from Berkley?

I just went to tompetty.com & I can't find this announcement - did this go out to fanclub members only?

*does a cartwheel* Stevie might come to Austin for ACL??? :blob2:

"Remainder of the tour..." I'm wondering if that includes the late July/August dates, as well as the 3rd leg?? Or just the 3rd leg? Or just a few dates on the 3rd leg? I was thinking she may only do the west coast dates. I may have to road trip to Houston, if she ends up there!

I didn't get an email for this, but I've gotten them in the past...I was just over on the Tom board and a lot of other people didn't get the email either...despite this press release, the dates are still not up on tompetty.com. But the Strokes? That's kinda cool...and I wonder who may be opening for him at all the other shows??

I earned another free round trip on Southwest for my St. Louis trip...hmmmm....

7/7/6 - TOM PETTY & THE HEARTBREAKERS ANNOUNCE LEG THREE OF THEIR 2006 U.S. CONCERT TREK

The Strokes, John Mayer and Frank Black Will Support on Selected Dates Stevie Nicks Returns to the Tour as Special "Surprise" Guest

Los Angeles, CA - July 7, 2006 -- With sold-out concerts - including New York's Madison Square Garden and the 80,000-strong Bonnaroo - house records set, and accolades like the Boston Globe's "one of the finest, most enduring outfits in rock'n'roll," Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers announce dates and support acts for Leg Three of their 2006 U.S. Summer Tour. The third leg, which includes headlining this year's Austin City Limits Festival and a return to the band's Gainesville, FL hometown, kicks off in Chicago on September 14 and will feature The Strokes on their first of several dates as support act. John Mayer and Frank Black will support on other selected dates.

The 'Highway Companion Tour,' which celebrates the band's 30th anniversary, has already featured a star-studded list of special guests and opening acts. Phish frontman Trey Anastasio opened the entire first leg and will be back on some Leg Two dates, and the Allman Brothers Band are also set to support on select second leg dates. In addition, Petty and the Heartbreakers have just completed an historic run of dates with Pearl Jam during which Eddie Vedder took the stage and sang lead with Tom and the Heartbreakers on "The Waiting" and "American Girl."

It is also announced that Stevie Nicks, who was a "surprise" guest on the first eight shows of the tour, will return in that capacity for Leg Two and Leg Three dates. Nicks will join Petty and the Heartbreakers during their set for a handful of songs, including the Petty/Nicks Number One hit, "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around."

Tickets for the Berkeley dates will go on sale July 16; all other shows go on sale July 22 except Raleigh, NC which will go on sale July 21. There will be presales for Highway Companion Club members.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers - Petty/vocals, guitars, Mike Campbell/guitars, Benmont Tench/keyboards, Ron Blair/bass, Scott Thurston/guitars, harmonica, backing vocals, and Steve Ferrone/drums - have just wrapped up Leg One of their summer sojourn that kicked off June 9; Leg Two is scheduled to run from July 30 to August 18. The complete itinerary is below.

On July 25, "Highway Companion," Petty’s third solo and 18th overall career disc, will be released (American Recordings/Warner Bros. Records). The album was produced by Jeff Lynne with Petty and Mike Campbell, and features twelve new Petty compositions. Lynne also produced the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Petty albums “Full Moon Fever” (1989) and “Into the Great Wide Open” (1991) (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers). The first radio track from "Highway Companion" is "Saving Grace,” which was world-premiered last month in front of 20-million people on ABC-TV’s NBA Finals. A special video stream of “Saving Grace” is now available at tompetty.com.

This year, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut album. For this 30th anniversary, Academy Award-winning director/screenwriter Peter Bogdanovich has signed on to direct a comprehensive feature/film documentary about Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Over the past 30 years, Petty & the Heartbreakers have sold more than 50-million records, been nominated for 16 Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, the first year the band was eligible. Late last year, Billboard magazine presented Petty with its 2005 Century Award, the publication’s highest honor for creative achievement. He recently kicked off his second season of his critically acclaimed XM Satellite Radio show, “Tom Petty’s Buried Treasure.”

Hollywood Bowl On Sale & Presale Dates Moved

Dear Fans,

The on-sale and presale dates for tickets to the Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles HAVE CHANGED.

The concert is still scheduled for Sept. 26.

Highway Companions Club members are invited to a ticket presale on Tuesday, July 18 at 10 a.m. PT.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sunday, July 23 at 10 a.m. PT.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Visit TomPetty.com for the latest tour information.

And I'm praying for a Van Morrison/Petty collaboration at ACL - seeing as Tom's been alternating between Gloria and Mystic Eyes for encores. Van is playing ACL 2 days before Tom, and currently doesn't have anything else scheduled, according to his official website.

I DO know that she is scheduled for a haircut and placenta conditioning on the 16th, Karen and her have back-to-back appointments with their reflexologist then a meeting with stevie's accountant on the 17th, and finally a teeth whitening on the 18th (I would assume in preparation of Tom's third leg)...so, I don't know if she'll be playing those shows. It is such a treat. Greek is the best outdoor venue in the area and of course the weather will be stunning that time of year.

My parents are going with me to the Saturday show, which will be like full circle since my mom took me to see TP in '81 for my first concert.

Come to San Diego Paula! You can make it into a mini-vacation. Plus, good seats are easier to find than in LA. (Unless you know someone "in the business" of course.)

Back off. Berkeley is way better, and she's my friend. It would be hella easier to see two shows here. And cheaper. And less drivey. And she can have a mini vacation here, hello! She can see the historic gay bar right by my house, and the historic other bars right by my house, and the berkeley campus...

Oh, and there might be some cool stuff in SF she could make a vacation of...I hear tourists like it over there... :p

Mariel & I were discussing this today - if I can get 100% confirmation of this, I will absolutely go to the Darien Lake show for sure. But I'd love to go to Cali too. If I can figure some things out.

My thoughts are: fly to LA Thurs, hang with Ry & maybe meet a few Ledgies for drinks, drive up to Amber's Friday, go to one of the shows one night & hang the other night (or both shows, but one night would def. have to be lawn), then drive down the Pacific Coast Highway back to LA Sunday, fly home Monday. In my dream world, where I have a disposable income & no responsibilities, that is.

It may end up being furiously searching for a good ticket for the Darien Lake show here (since they've been on sale for weeks  ), get home from work that day, drive the 45 minutes to stupid Darien, meet nobody & have nobody to hang with (well, hopefully Hawkeye), see the show, drive home. Blah. Just doesn't sound as fun. Easier & cheaper, yes. But not as much fun.

then drive down the Pacific Coast Highway back to LA Sunday,That's a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong drive. I don't think it can be done--at least not comfortably--in a day. Highway 1 is very slooooooow aaaaaaaaaall the way down the coaaaaaast, twisting, turning, winding, getting stuck behind a trailer, two lanes only. Traveling down the 5 from San Francisco to L.A. takes 6 to 7 hours alone, so Highway 1 takes at least twice that long.

Now Pollstar is implying that Stevie won't be at all the shows:

Tom Recruits Some Friends
Updated 05:59 PDT Mon, Jul 10 2006
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have confirmed the third leg of their Highway Companions Tour, with The Strokes, John Mayer, and Frank Black sharing support duties.
Stevie Nicks, who joined Petty onstage as a "surprise" guest at the first eight shows of the tour, will appear at select shows throughout the summer as well.
As previously announced, the tour's second leg will run from July 29 through August 18 with opening duties spread between Trey Anastasio, The Allman Brothers Band, and The Derek Trucks Band.
The third round of shows will launch with two shows at Chicago's Charter One Pavilion September 14-15. The Strokes will open in Chicago as well as four amphitheatre shows in the South. Black will take over in Berkeley, Calif., September 29-30, followed by Mayer in Phoenix October 4.
Support is still TBA for a September 27 gig in San Diego.
The itinerary also includes a headlining slot for Petty at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas.
Petty and his band are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. Petty's latest solo disc, Highway Companion, is due for a July 25 release.

Also, even if she doesn't play all shows on Legs 2 and 3, I think you can be pretty comfortable betting that she will be at the California shows.

The only thing holding me back from buying Darien Lake tix here is the fact that I saw Petty there last year & I'm not going again unless she's there. She hasn't been to Buffalo (solo) since 86 or 89, so I'm assuming she won't be coming here.

The only thing holding me back from the Berkeley shows or the LA show is my husband. Plus the fact that if I got all my plans settled, bought tix & found out she's not going to be there, that would be bad. Not that I wouldn't have a great time anyway, but still.

My concern about Cali tix is that I was thinking about doing that special ticket deal (2 tix guaranteed in the first 15 rows, membership to the fanclub, coupon for fanfire & the new CD, all for $200 total) and if I do that, they're non transferable, you have to pick them up at the venue & show ID. :( I wouldn't be able to sell them if I couldn't go.

It's an excellent deal, as tickets are close to $100 anyway with service fees. It seems like demand would be huge for this, especially the Berkeley shows. Based on the chatter on the TP board, it looks like a lot of people are flying in for these concerts. I'll just be happy if I get decent seats. And I'd rather not sit on those concrete blocks.

Holy Crap! I must sign up. But what I was saying was don't they have some kind of avenue for returning the tix? Since they themselves make the tix almost totally non-transferable, you'd think they'd have something. Especially if they are will call - if you wanted to return the tix, all they would have to do is credit your card and re-release them to availability because no actual tix changed hands.

The refresh killed me: I had the window open, but I had to go back through the Highway Companions portal, losing precious seconds, though the clock still said 10. I was afraid to try for other tickets, after I locked onto the first ones, I just thought they would all be gone. It irks me to pay $85 for seats in that A section - that's great that you managed the "real" pit. If anyone else is going to try, I think the option to let the Ticketmaster computer choose any seats, looking for "best available" is not the way to go. I got better seats for Fri, even at 10:04 by choosing $85. as the option.
This stuff gets me way too amped. I am tense now, and would like a massage.

This could be very fun. Very fun indeed. Well, it already will be, because we'll be seeing Tom Petty, and almost assuredly Stevie. :woohoo:

Unacceptable! If I go to LA, you had better show yourself. I saw Tiff at a Fleetwood Mac concert once. But she was ill-behaved. She was climbing onto the stage & then diving into the crowd over & over. It was shameful. :distress:

I'm trying to remember whether I ever saw any other ledgies at a concert. Oh, yeah. There was one guy I saw at one of the Enchanted shows. His name is John. I think he used to go by rockalittle or something. Maybe he was never a ledgie, but he has spent a lot of time online. He used to run a Stevie-idolizing mail list.

Tammy might go to the Bowl, too!

Why am I not feeling totally confident that Stevie is DEFINITELY going to show up at these Cali shows? I'm saying this because the only reason I'm shelling out money for this concert is with the guarantee she's going to be there. I really have no burning desire to see Tom Petty. Are you guys feeling confident she's going to be there or are you fine with just seeing Tom?

I'm feeling confident enough, but I was so blown about by TP in New York that I'd be going to at least one of these shows anyway.

Unless she has other commitments, I can't see any reason why she wouldn't do the California shows.

Aww, I was thinking the same thing. Screw Tom and The Hollywood Bowl, just perform at my 30th birthday party Stevie. Oh and it's set list by demand (haven't we been through this?). Will you fly down for it Amb?

On a side note, do you think it would be too much to ask if The Heartbreakers back Stevie up on Landslide at my show and she dedicates it to me for the big 3-0? I don't think the TP crowd would mind too much, it's not like I'm asking for Sleeping Angel .

Of course I'd come! But, can we have Sleeping Angel instead of Landslide? :p You don't have to invite the TP crowd to your B-day, just the band. Afterwords they'd mill around, enjoy the party, take a dip in Sparky's pool...and Mike Campell would hit on me of course! But Brett would swoop in and say "Oh, hells no, she's mine!" and then...oops...uh...Omigod, there'd be hella lesbies there to hit on me and/or kick my ass cause I took their cigarrette! Rock!

However I still need to check with one person and that is the one who I swear I heard say that they were off the last week of September. I would have to go back to be at work on that Friday however.

Sleeping Angel it is! (with a dedication to Amber of course) I think Stevie would kick your ass for taking her cigarette (if she wasn't too stoned to care). I'm down for skinny dipping in Sparky's pool but I don't know if Stevie's feeling to confident about her figure these days to partake. Oh well Nicks that's ok, you can watch us flop around w/The Heartbreakers and eat your heart out . Now I need to think of a birthday song for myself, hmmmm. Crystal might be a nice treat. Has she done that live on lead vocals?

Seriously, don't bother unless you can get tickets in the first 10 rows. It's one of those venues where if you don't have seats in the very front you are oh so far away. IMO the majority of seats in that place are nose bleed. Part of it is because I'm so spoiled by being in the front at most Stevie shows but unlike a lot of venues where "there's not a bad seat in the house" most seats in this house are bad.
Not only that, getting in and out of the place is a nightmare. The parking situation is horrid and it's like a heard of cattle when the show is over and takes an hour to get out of the lot.

If Stevie kicks my ass for taking a cigarrette with her billions of dollars, and doesn't share that joint she's been puffing on, I will in turn kick her ass. I'll twirl kick it back to Timespace (my new favorite phrase regarding kicking ass). I wouldn't want Stevie to skinny dip anyways.
A birthday song for yourself? She might do Crystal, but...what about Angel? Wait, are you the one who doesn't like Angel? Because it would rock to have her sing "Talkin' bout the Angeelll...of my dreams" to you on your birthday.

I just had an image of you breaking into Kick It lol. Ewww no Angel and yes, I'm the one who does't like it. I don't hate it as much as I used to but I would never chose it for my birthday song. You know if she sang Angel now it would sound nothing like the original, are you sure you'd want that? Her 2006 voice is light years away from her Angel voice. I like Crystal better so I can cry as she wails "I turned around and the water was closing around mee, Iiiiiiii turned around..." I'm picturing her singing Crystal and we all have our arms locked swaying back and forth lighters in the air. Doesn't that sound fun? Oh and she's not wearing any black to my birthday.

Seven concerts on the third leg of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' 2006 Highway Companion Tour will go on sale next week. The shows are in Chicago, Gainesville, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Diego and Glendale.

Please note the Raleigh, NC show which was scheduled to take place on Sept. 19 will be moved to the previous week on a date to be announced shortly. The on-sale and presales will therefore not take place next week, but we will let you know all relevent dates as soon as possible.

Highway Companions Club members will get first crack at the best seats in the house through exclusive presales next Tuesday and Wednesday, July 18 and 19. The presales for all shows begin at 10 a.m. local venue time on Tuesday, July 18, and end at 10 p.m. local venue time on July 19.

Radio station- sponsored presales for all shows will take place on Friday, July 21. These radio-sponsored presales are open to all TomPetty.com visitors.

Tickets to the show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles will go on sale to the general public on Sunday, July 23. The remaining shows -- in Chicago, Gainesville, Atlanta, San Diego and Glendale -- go on sale to the general public on Saturday, July 22.

SPECIALLY PRICED TICKETS IN CHICAGO
Members of the Highway Companions Club will have the opportunity to purchase a limited number of specially priced tickets for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' Sept. 14 and 15 concerts at the Charter One Pavilion in Chicago.

There will be 150 tickets priced at $49.50 for each show. The specially priced tickets will be in section 101. When ordering, fans will be given two options from the pull down menu -- if you are interested in the special price, please select that option. Once the specially priced tickets are sold out, Highway Companions Club members will still be able to purchase tickets at the regular price.

A seating chart of the venue will be available to view on TomPetty.com on Friday, July 14.

Highway Companions Club members are limited to two tickets per show, with a new total limit of SIX fan club presale tickets for the 2006 tour.

In addition to the free CD and the opportunity to buy premium concert tickets early, members will also receive access to exclusive online benefits and other special features when the new TomPetty.com launches later this summer, including:

Just thought I'd post a quick pic of the Greek Theater in Berkeley. This was taken from the "lawn" section of the Greek. Pretty good view, eh? Eh, Tower? Eh, Sparky? Strand? Suze? Curtis? Everyone? :p
God, Stevie better do at least one of the dates. How could she resist??? What if she does, and we randomly see her window shopping around Berkeley??? What if monkeys flew out of my ass???

If Monkeys flew out of your ass, that would be cool. Could I have a few of them to train to fly about and do my bidding, punishing those who inflict insult, injury and suffering on myself and my posse ?

That is a cool looking place.

Argh, I hate this Ticketmaster racket. Why am I pulling better seats in the $65 section than 1/2 hour ago? But $85 tix appear to be gone. I think I'll wait until Sunday. That's quite a tip around avoiding "best available", I never knew that.

From what I've gathered, it looks like Stevie will be at my San Diego show, it being the first show after the LA show. YAY! :blob2:
I plan to try the "radio presale" and then the "general public" sale after that. I got lucky once with Fleetwood Mac with the general public onsale and pulled
2nd row. I'm hoping for the same for this show. :D

you'll have to ask someone far cooler than I. I just looked him on Wikipedia. I read he got divorced a few years back, maybe it was because he was Gay Gayerson? (as my dad would say).
It seems one of the people on here should know, trouble is, I haven't seen a punk gay on here, or ever even met one. And our resident musos (for instance, Trackie, Haley, Jyqm...) may not know b/c they wouldn't care.

Seeing you ask a woman this question is rather surprising.
He wants the monkeys, and like everyone, has heard the Legend of the Bun. He's secure enough in his gayersonness to mention a girl's ass in passing.

I am still frightened of writing checks since hearing one of your favorite sayings.
You've got to tell his favorite saying.

I guess I should post about the topic, as well. 9/30 Berkeley show for me, most likely.

Like Bun Girl says, it was all about the monkeys, though I did enjoy asking a girl that question. So wrong, but so right.

If it is the saying I am thinking of, it wasn't really about physical checks. But while we are on the topic...relax. Just relax. You are legal now, aren't you ?

It barely trumps a pair of two's, it certainly doesn't trump TP/Stevie show with many ledgies at the Greek in Berkeley!

And besides, it was merely a starting point for the gays to talk about their own butts. Let's not pretend, kay? :woohoo:

Perhaps. However, I wouldn't dismiss it as a mere starting point. It is an end unto itself. And a beginning. And a meaty story.

Well, of course! It's like a good bottle of wine when you're already drunk. (I hope I didn't just channel Alannis, because I hate her). When you break out the first snack, because you realize that although you want to drink more, you are also starting to be starving. It's brie and rosemary crackers. Whatever that means.

Perhaps. However, I wouldn't dismiss it as a mere starting point. It is an end unto itself. And a beginning. And a meaty story.
Very true, but it's another story. It's merely a part of your and the other gays' story. It serves you all as a starting point, whereas in a parallel universe it's own tale unfolds...stay tuned...

Paula, me, and paula's gay boyfriend will already be there. I think Eliza will come early, too. I mean, to eat sometime before the show. Because we're pigs, and that is a long ass show. Although, we can fill up on 10 dollar beers....
So, anyway, you're totally welcome to join us.

Oh, I just assumed you were meeting us before, too, on Fri. or Sat., if we meet before.
So, yeah, definitely. :D

Yes, which is why Friday would be better for me. But I would like to meet you and Paula and anyone else, so if the only opportunity was to do it Saturday before the show, then I would just meet my aunt and uncle at the concert.

Count me in. So far I only have a ticket for Sat but I hope to get a good ticket for Fri too. I don't like sushi though.

I used to hate them & the people who used them. But through sheer numbers I got used to them & now I find them useful so I use lots of them.

Really! And you made such an eloquent argument against them at one point that I considered curtailing my usage of them! I still say the jumpy smileys should only be used sarcastically. lol

They have Teriyaki chicken and stuff. :wavey: I'm almost positive you'll get a Friday ticket.

That was the sound of a brick falling out of my ass onto the floor. According to Ticketmaster (thanks Hawykeye!) she'll be at Darien Lake.

That is the only show I see that little blurb about her on TM....I checked all the shows around Darien Lake...ie, Pittsburgh, Hartford, Camden, Saratoga Springs...and I dont see anything about Stevie. Hmm, I wonder what else she is doing......

I found out a couple of weeks ago that Steve would be with Tom at the Dallas Venue and have been watching ticketmaster and e-bay like a freak with nothing better to do. I broke down today and purchased 2 11th row tickets because they are selling out FAST and this is without ANY STEVIE MENTION AT ALL! Even the lawn seats are starting to turn up on ebay. I'm not sure how they are going to work this but if you are a Stevie fan I would move heaven and earth to get your tickets ASAP.

My show is in 14 days. so I am a little freaked, those going out months from now no worries, but if your event is soon GET YOUT TICKETS NOW!!! :blob1:

Love to my Chiffon Heads and Tokers Everywhere!!

Whoa! I had totally given up hope that La Nicks would play this show, but thanks for posting that because I just bought 100-Level tickets!

Kind of odd isn't it? She is not listed at the Hollywood Bowl show either. I guess they want to keep the surprise element.

I'm sure she'll be at all the CA shows. I bet we get a list of which shows she'll be at some time this week, as Tom Petty's tour starts back up again at the end of this week.

I tried the presale and regular on sale for my San Diego show. I pulled NOTHING in the orchestra (and the Coors orchestra is quite large), so I'm going to play the waiting game. I hate ticketmaster.

I wonder why they decided not to come back to MA. As far as I know they sold out the first time they came there. I was hoping to see him!

The more I think about this, I really do think this is Tom's Swan Song. Reports everywehre are saying this is his greatest hits tour with one swing across the country to celebrate 30 years of fantastic music. Stevie doesn't want to take one ounce glory away from him and I think that is why they are keeping this kinda low-key in some parts of the country. It isn't the Stevie + Don tour of last year or the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour of last year. This is a Tom Petty tour with Stevie coming out to share his music when she can.

At the risk of having my ass kicked, when it was announced that a few more dates would be added, I begged, pleaded, cried, offered sex ( ) anything just to get odds for it happening in Dallas. I was told 99/1. So, don't be surprised if she doesn't show up in promos and if it isn't talked about much. In fact, I'm not telling the person I'm taking that She is going to be there. I like the surprise and the amount of class that Stevie has in showing Tom just how much she loves and respects him.

Frankly, I think Stevie is embarassingly submissive like with Tom, Lindsey, etc. Give me a break. I'd rather sit out the whole show than watch Stevie sing only back up for Petty.

I'd like to know as well - especially since the announcement I posted specifically stated that she WOULD be there.

http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showpost.php?p=550365&postcount=168

If she's not and they only made that announcement as a ploy to boost ticket sales (not that Tom should need to or have to), well, that's just sh*tty!!
