Wearing white socks with black shoes. Worse, wearing white socks (or any socks, for that matter) with sandals.
Turning tires onto their side, painting them white, and planting flowers in the middle.
Pantylines.
Wearing a bikini top to the grocery store.
Having an upholstered couch on your front porch.
Continuing to display hanging baskets with withering or dead flowers in them.
Christmas lights up all year, unless you're physically unable to take them down. And if that's the case, please don't turn them on unless it's holiday season.
This message brought to you by Paula, who's in a very snarky mood today. Anyone else care to share some tack? :D

Oh man - I used to work in a place (back in my rest. days) where we had a regular who arrived every day 5 minutes before the end of lunch. AAAArgh, 4 people had to stay for one customer for an extra 45 minutes at each lunch! They finally changed the closing time to a half hour later, and then he STILL came 5 minutes before closing. He said he liked having the place to himself. I think there is a special place reserved for him in the afterlife.

puts you in a murderous rage, no? we have this lady who comes in almost every night ... she's like 120 years old, and we call her the cat lady because she always talks about her cats (one of which is named gandalf, which i find really cute), and she's been coming in RIGHT at 9 when we close, and she takes for-ev-er to eat ... and then sometimes she'll sit there after she's finished and pay her bills. grrrrrrrrrr.

^^^^
High heels make my legs look worse, because it skinnies up my calf muscle, which makes my thighs and knees look bigger - not in proper proportion with each other. That is why I prefer pure platform heels, because they don't tilt the heel up, and therefore don't ball up the calf muscle in that way. The hight is nice, but not the heel tilt. This, of course, isn't a problem for someone with bigger calves and/or smaller knees. But I've seen lots of other people like me who wear high heels, and I never like it. Small calves...*shudder*...

As far as porn goes, I have yet to be turned on by any of it. The participants have to be REALLY good looking for me to want to watch them have sex, and so far- that hasn't happened. Plus watching the moment of orgasm is enough to make me cringe. The whole eye rolling fakeness kills me.

I don't know any man who purposely purchases pants that are too big and then uses a belt to "hold" them up. Although, I have seen boys who wear the waist of the pant under their ass cheeks! In those cases, yes, the belt then is holding the pant in place to their thighs! Tacky.

A musician who had been in a band with him (main instrument, guitar) was hitting us up to join our band as bass player, AT THE FUNERAL! We HAVE three guitarists as is...two of us alternated playing bass to finish out the night at the gig the night Mike was taken to the hospital by paramedics. The LAST thing we need is a lead guitarist trying to pass himself off as a bass player...we have two of them already. We're looking for a REAL bass player...and anyone with ANY kind of intelligence would know that we're not going to be looking for one at our just departed one's funeral, either. What moron.

My grandparents are such sticklers for this that even if they have just the kids over their house for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, they will make a comment if someone is wearing a hat at the table.

Very bad. May lead to ingrown toenails. They should be trimmed so that they are right at the edge of your toe.
I like french pedie's. They should not be longer then the toe though. They may appear that way because of the way they are white tipped. I think they make your feet look really clean. But of course they should only be on well kept feet.

I was shocked the first time I saw it. Mostly I see it on Asian or AFA women. Before I first moved here, it had previously been that "everyone" knew that fake fingernails were trashy/tacky, and no one had them. It just wasn't a thing, or rather it was a thing poor white trash would like.

You might change your mind if you ever get one, I hear they are really painful. I always think that too short of a toenail (specially the big toe) makes the toe look so fat and round, with all that skin showing around the top. The nail tends to grow wider, rather then its natual route of longer, which then is actually widening the toe.

The first toenail looks okay, the rest are too long. Those also look strangely like my toes. Except, of course, with different nails. I don't have a gripe with the french tip part, I have a problem with nails being too long to accomodate the french tip. French tips are pretty, long toenails are not. For instance, I would get a fake french one, where my toenails were really short, but with a white strip at the top. In theory.
P.S. I've never seen it look that good on an actual person.

No. You have to wear jewelry everywhere you can possibly do it. I have one I haven't taken off for a few years because my mom got it for me for my b-day. I LOVE toe rings, I think they are sooooo cute. I have long toes, so I'm always trying to make them look better. And yes, everyone, I like anklets as well. Although generally I make them myself out of beads, in nice natural-ey/crunchy colors...you know, summer with the natives and all that look. Silver and gold anklets not as much. And I agree, you don't wear anklets under pantyhose. Even if it isn't tacky, it's aesthetically displeasing. I hate that.

Well, originally the people who got them were punkers, who obviously don't care what mainstream society thinks is "tasteful" or "tacky". And I'm sure many later piercees still don't care what certain portions of society would think is "tacky".

I don't like the white-tips on toenails. It looks fake as hell...way too white! OK so I was wrong. I went with sis tonight to have pedis and we both decided to go french. We love them! :D
What are Rainbows? Is that a gay thing? Wait, I don't think you're gay - are you? You must be, all the rest of the hot men on this board are. I don't mind if people wear nice leather thong sandals, but those $3 **** flip-flops from the drugstore should only be worn at the beach
LOL! No, I'm not gay. (1 in a million guys on here, I know!) I don't think Rainbows (http://www.rainbowsandals.com/) are necessarily either, at least I've never known them to be associated. They were just a popular brand of leather flip-flops that it seemed everyone at my undergrad wore, and I've just been getting them ever since then because they're very comfortable and last forever. I guess you can put them in the same category with aviator sunglasses, popped collars, and seersucker suits...something to do with the utter ridiculousness that is college Greek life!

Really? In spring- and summertime, my flip-flops seem to be permanently attached to me. Unless I'm going to church/work/nice restaurant, my Rainbows practically don't leave my feet six months out of the year. I don't know, I just don't see anything wrong with it...unless you've got nasty feet/toes.
Brad
Listen, honey- those flip-flop things are a tragedy and do not belong on your feet unless you are in an aquatically challenged area. Yes, there is something wrong with it. Flip-flops/thongs <---- as we called it back in the day- are extremely casual wear. Like Comfyshorts or a bathing suit or trunks fer chrissakes!!! They are NOT to worn to anything outside of your abode. Period.
Kiss my short dumpy ass, you bitchy old queen. :wavey:
Suck it up, honey. Where the hell is Jason when I need him??? JEEZUS!!!!
I know you're right, but I wear them anyway. :o [/SIZE]
Exactly. And they're horrible. Paula, honey, my virtual memory is not remembering you as --short--, so I'm guessing you're alright- although to be honest with you, the only person who can even remotely pull off capris is Nicole Kidman- and even she has a tendency to look awful in them.....
also - i look good in capris - and i'm only 5'5"!
No ya don't. I guarantee it. Put on a pair of pants with long, slim legs and repeat that sentence back to me.

Honey, you know I love you and it's really a shame we don't talk more often. I totally forgot the Absolute Nazzzztyness that is the Abomination that is mother****ing piece-of-****-****ing Ugg Boots. The absolute ZENITH of tacky, disgusting, bad-taste, idiotic, piece-of-****-stupidity I have ever seen in my entire life.
I swear to gawd, I want to kill every stoopid, vapid bitch that wears these pieces of ****.

Talking about Uggs being Tacky is so Dissention-thought-of-it-a-year-and-a-half ago-and-several-people-discussed-it-at-length-in-fact-I-think-I-remember-that-exact-picture. Which, of course, is tacky - but in no way diminishes the yuckiness of the boots. I don't hate them as vehemently. I think I may be desensitized from seeing so many packs of teeny Asian girls wearing them. I've built up immunity.

What about girl dress thongs? You know, nice sandal thongs. Made of things that aren't rubber.

I'm assuming since you hate Capris, you also hate these things:

And if my hunch is right, you are going to be one sad, sad, angry man the next time you see me. But let me explain why above pants are cute: They make your waist look cute, or rather if you have a cute waist they accentuate it well. And as you may imagine, they flatter larger thighs as well. Has it become a crime to be short while I wasn't looking? I like being short. Short girls are cuter, because they are smaller.
I've also worn a dress over thin silken pants. Not jeans, but still. It looked really cute, too. But not with flats, higher heels only. :woohoo:
I should probably bring a gun just for protection if we meet....

A guy wearing capri pants, it might be ok in certain situations but I can't think of one right now.
I hate that! It is ridiculous-looking. How can they not know how silly they look?

Hm, I wear my flip flops a lot. I also think a French Manicure of (short) toenails looks nice. That's two strikes against me!
A couple of months ago I had an ingrown toenail that became so infected that I had to go to the doctor. I thought she would cut it out or something, but she wouldn't touch it. Gave me an antibitotic. It was the grossest thing I'd ever seen in my life- I thought I was going to lose my damned toe. Anyway, I keep my toenails very short and neat- some people are just more prone to them than others.

No worries, sweetie. As long as your nails aren't long & curling over your toes, you're fine in my book.
