Well, to clear the air of the negativity, of which I am a part, I thought I'd start a thread wherein, you pick one or two Ledgies to say something nice about.

For example:

David is one of the most stimulating conversationalists I know and I relish his posts, which challenge me to use the dictionary just about every day - and he even told me which one to use

Sara1998 generally lurks, but when she participates, she is hilarious!!!!!!! She can also hoist a cocktail with the best of them and is a loving mother, which I am unsure belong in the same sentence

So, someone follow my lead.

NOTE - no negative things please.

Josh's brain gives me Mental O's.

Amber is an absolute rock of integrity- and a good soul, too.

Jason (strand) is such a kind-hearted man.

Sparky is a sweetheart.

Curtis would have been my boyfriend if I were 15 years younger.

Chuckie is adorable.

Hippocampus is my Secret Favorite Ledgie.

Brandon is a diamond in the rough.

Moony (Dan-O) will find his true love one day and he will deserve it.

Paula makes me smile (and not many people do that...)

I look up to Chris (gldstwmn) and I wish I had her courage.

Moony (Dan-O) will find his true love one day and he will deserve it.

:o You're too sweet, Towie.

Well I suck at being sentimental so I shall say, there's quite a few ledgies that I admire and genuinely like. I'm sure you know who you are.

Strandie has a wonderful way of making someone feel truely loved. Or truely hated... hahaha, it is a gift.

Ya know, Jason, I woke up madder-then-hell this morning, because I was up and hour-and-a-half early. But this truely made me smile! I love you, and I hope we can see eachother soon! Come to Disney with us! Only 24 days left.... (but who's counting?)

JannieC is a voice of reason here. She has a beautiful soul.
Amber is so .... over-rated... but I love her charm and wit. ;)
Chris (gldstwmn) has risen from the ashes, and is truely a wise soul. I hope I can be like her when I grow up!

Victoria/Miss Vicky - You may love "Time" - but you still rock ;) :D

Josh/dissention - Super snarky and super funny!!

I started to reply to the topic but it will take me ages to write all the good points down. Which shows what a positive influence so many Ledgies are.

Hopefully later tonight I'll have time to post an epic response. Stay tuned and see if your name crops up in it. Later... :wavey:

Miss Vicky
05-10-2006, 08:12 AM
Victoria/Miss Vicky - You may love "Time" - but you still rock ;) :D

And you might not love "Time," but you rock too. :D

Let's see... positive things to say (so out of character for me):

Jim/Seeker007nmss and Jason/JazmenFlowers: You've been the best of help to me in improving my work and helping me through my chronic writer's block. And additionally for Jim, I just love all those fluffy animal pics.

Josh/Dissention: A shout out to my partner in crime and one of the funniest people I've ever encountered online or off.

Brian/JohnnyStew: You're The Ledge's best "Peacekeeper." :xoxo:

Steve/ChiliD: I admire your dedication to and near encyclopedic knowledge of music. The fact that you like Walter Egan, Billy Burnette, and Bekka Bramlett doesn't hurt either. ;)

More to follow as I think of them...

jannieC

JannieC is a voice of reason here. She has a beautiful soul.

Maria- what an incredible thing to say- thank you. :xoxo:

Almost every one of you articulates MY thoughts so well, it's uncanny. I am so often amazed at the intelligence and thoughtfulness shown on this board. We'll be talking about some topic, and I find myself nodding my head, amazed at how *I* would have said the same thing, but *you* said it so much better!

JazmenFlowers

jazmenflowers/jason loves mariah, barbra, etc.. therefore i love him.
thanks dear.

I like you for that reason as well...but also because you always make me giggle with some of your "comeback" posts and it's been really interesting to see you change over the past, what, year or so...
Jason/JazmenFlowers: You've been the best of help to me in improving my work and helping me through my chronic writer's block.
and when it's a big hit, I can't wait to come to one of your readings.

as for love for others...

jannieC is one of my best friends here. very sweet and smart and funny.
niki/btflchld is a bitch and a half and I love her...very creative and talented and caring
brandon/mylittledemon is a hot mess...and I stress both of those words. mucho love for that boy.
suzequze is sweet and funny and can keep up with all our crazy bitch asses.
johnnystew...well, what else can be said. he's my fellow partner in the Stevie Defense Brigade. 'nuff said.
curtis - miss him around here a lot. can always count on him to catch things I missed or take a good bitch punch to someone
paula - love her. so funny. so full of it. she's like one of the girls.

ChiliD - The man who brought me here in the first place. His musical knowledge is astounding and I know if I need any advice, especially musical, he's the man for the job. One of the daddies of the Ledge and a great friend.

Seteca - One of my closest friends I suspect forever. Never have we had a disagreement, ever. We have the same passions (Jack Daniels, fast cars and guitars to name just three  ) I trust him with my life.

Tuigirl - Once again somebody that has been incredibly generous towards me. Helped me out in some very difficult circumstances and I'll always be grateful for that. Another close friend although we do have many differing opinions and tastes.

Wondergirl9847 - The two things about Christy that always amaze me are that she's an incredibly positive person whatever the situation and secondly she always sees the good in people. Never one to judge and always one to offer kindness. I look forward to seeing her again. (if only to watch her fall over :p :sorry:  )

SuzeQuze - Well Suzy, now a mod on the site and I can't think of anybody more suited to the role. She's non judgemental, articulate and caring with it. Another Ledgie that I now consider a friend outside of this website (and my "virtual" wife too ;) ). A great human being.

Amber - What can you say about Amber that hasn't been said by somebody on here at some point in the past? Well, you are never left in doubt of her opinions and views. She can be straightforward and not afraid to show her feelings on a topic which is something I greatly admire. She's fiercely loyal to her friends and the best kisser on here (one of the few Ledgies that showers me in :xoxo: in reply to most of my posts!).If Suze is my virtual wife then Amber is my virtual mistress. lol.

trackaghost - Must add Sharon here too. I always value her posts and she's always got something constructive to say. A fellow Brit and somebody to moan about the London transport system to. haha

David - A man I value for his wit and wisdom. A man that can throw a random post in and enliven a stale thread. Plus he's the resident natural disaster expert so I expect a heads up when the time comes! haha.

DavidMn - One of our newer ledgies but has already developed his own take on the crazy world we live in. Whatever the subject David will have a point to make. He can inject humour into the most boring thread.

strandinthewind - Controversial at times but always through thought, discussion and reasoned arguement. He's also got the most disgustingly funny sense of humour.

Shackin'Up - Dear Gerald. A friend at times, a foe at others. His unique look at the band is refreshing and always a great force of discussion. His passion for LB amazes me still.

Mari - A fellow European and a great lady. Very honest and friendly. Doesn't post as often as she should, but they are great when she does.

WelchWitchPMD - I think Pattie is a very warm person. The fact she thanked everyone for her birthday wishes is proof of this. Always drops by to say hi on myspace too. Pattie seems to me very passionate about the band and LB in particular but in a serene kind of way. I hope for a birthday wish you get to see LB in concert very soon.

estranged4life - Brian, or Brain as he is sometimes spelled! Brian is an amazingly honest guy and sincere with it, he wears his heart on his sleeve. An amazing musical mind and occasionally controversial with his views. All the troubles he has had over the past couple of years we have all faced with him in spirit. He is one of those guys I'd like to have by my side when the **** goes down. A stand up guy.

BTFLCHLD - A ledgie I've chatted with occasionally and one I feel is a very kind person and again a sincere individual.

Sahara - one of the new kids on the block and I hate to admit it but the "younger generation" of fans (Am I really getting that old?). Only been on here a year but she's nearly overtaken my total of posts already. A great knowledgable head despite her years.

And all the others I've had conversations with and read over the past five years. The guys above are the ones I most converse with but you are all equally important to this board. Special mention to Carne Vaca too. The only ban I ever disagreed with since I came here.

I must of course add Marty and Lis for hosting this place for our mindless ramblings. Without them there wouldn't be an "us".

Ok, I can go back to my usual arguementative self now.. :wavey:

markolas
05-10-2006, 09:06 AM
strandinthewind - you sort of remind me of Blanche Devereaux, if she'd been a gay man. And then, of course, there's your massive schlong. :D

dissention - I'm going to join in the dissention-love. I bought Blondie's Greatest Hits in part because of you.

moony - you're hot, but then I have a thing for swarthy latino boys.

sparky - a fellow Joni fan (yay!) and I loved his recent posts on the Stevie forum.

thetower - just general positive energy in the direction of thetower

brwneyes/brandon - two words: nice lips :D

amber - general positive energy in the direction of amber

That's all for the moment...I'm late for work!!

JannieC- brilliant, thoughtful posts! You are one of my favorite Ledgies by far.

JazmenFlowers- Something about your Stevie dedication really makes me respect you! Even though sometimes I think you may defend her blindly, there's still something about that that I kind of admire. You're a sweetie too.

David- I enjoy the wacky humor in your posts. Many people may consider you an erudite, which you are, but I think sometimes the humor gets overshadowed by the intellect---I'm here to tell you that I always find it. Well done.

Dissention- No other Ledgie has made me bust a gut laughing the way you do. I also think that you are one of the most misunderstood Ledgies on the board. I really think you have a heart of gold underneath that prickly exterior. I wish you would post more often.

Gldstwmn- You are incredibly level-headed and intelligent. I love your zingy "oneliners" too. Keep posting!

Livia- What can I say, my Austin compatriot? We need to hang out more often. You are sweet as pie and hilarious too.

Strand- You are one funny m.f. and I love your typos .

SuzeQuze and Paula- I always zoom in on your posts because I know I'm always going to read something interesting and funny. You both have wicked senses of humor!

What a nice thread to start.

Strandie/Jason: You are a true southern gentlemen, a gentle giant and one cool bitch to hang out with. Thanks for all the wonderful memories. :xoxo:

Curtis: My first online boyfriend. A truly genuine person with a great sense of humor.

Ken: soft spoken and kind. I was nervous about you being my roommate last year since I didn't know you, but I'd do it again especially if you walk around in your boxer briefs. :D

DavidMN: just a nice all around person, with some great FM pics and experiences to share.

Mariel: funny, intellecutal and does a mean rendition of Nightbird.

Let's see...

David O.: Your comments about Fleetwood Mac consistently give me new ways to hear and enjoy their music. I think that's invaluable. Some folks may feel that it's patronizing to be told things they don't know; I'm always glad and grateful for a lesson. Also, easily the funniest person on here. By a long shot.

David M.: You have only respect for other people's opinions, whether they mesh with your own or not. Plus, you're always anxious to learn something new. Those are two traits I greatly admire in anyone.

Stew and Strand: Very often I don't agree with you on various things. But you always express your opinions thoughtfully and constructively, so I'll take the two of you over 20 people who think the same way I do, any day of the week. (Except Thursdays. Thursdays are "me" days. Just back the f*** off, jerks!)

Sharon, Steve D., cliffdweller, madformac, Paula, Boots and several other people whom I just can't think of at the moment: You almost always have something interesting to say. That's about the highest compliment I can give anyone on an Internet message board.

Marty and Lis (and John/wetcamelfood): I can't imagine there are many better or more comprehensive fan sites out there. Thanks as always for all of the hard work and dedication.

Dissention, Steve MacD., Gerald: Post more, you bastards.

Anybody whom I forgot or didn't mention can go to hell. I'll meet you there and buy the first round.

Never one to judge and always one to offer kindness. I look forward to seeing her again. (if only to watch her fall over :p :sorry:

That's really sweet, J. Thank you. (((HUGS)))

Sheesh. There are so many amazing Ledgies here, I would feel bad if I left anyone out. Everyone here has great qualities and brings something to the table that's interesting, funny, thought-provoking, heart-warming and even just silly.

Let me just say a few things about some Ledgies I've had the privilege of meeting in person.

Seteca - Love him like a brother. It's so awesome to meet a stranger who becomes one of your greatest friends. He's got great knowledge on all things guitar and he's a good soul.

Madformac - Remember that night we spent together? LMAO!! Inside joke, everyone. Heh. MFM is another good soul who I can't wait to hang out with again (no stairs involved please). VERY laid back and easy to talk to.

estranged4life (Brian) - Brian showed what a wonderful friend he is when he schlepped my mom and I around in OKC when we went up to see Keith Urban. He's a marshmallow of a guy. ((HUGS)) to Brian. Cool as hell.

tuigirl (Michele) - Sweet as she can be and a total mom. Love to my Kiwi friend.

shackin' up (Gerald) - Love his passion. Gerald is the type of guy that if you aren't really feeling up to something, he'd MAKE you wanna be into it. :)

GypsyRhiannon (Pip) - Who doesn't love Pip?! She gave us the heads up on FM front row tickets and tried to help me out when I was having trouble getting them. Pip is awesome.

nodmod (Neil) - Cool as a cucumber. Great guy who runs a terrific UK FM site.

strandinthewind (Jason) - Tall as frick! LOL I'm a shortie though so everyone's tall to me. We only got to meet in Dallas for a minute, but he hugged me so that told me how sweet Jason is. :)

Livia - Met super briefly in Dallas and the Woodlands shows. Super friendly and brings us all kinds of terrific FM news here. Forgot to add...AND she's a Texan. YAY! LOL

gldstwm (Chris) - Another Ledgie I met briefly in Dallas. Super nice and does her mod job well.

darklinensuit (Jake) - We miss ya around these parts, Jake! "Shane, come back!" LOL Met Jake in Dallas and at the Woodlands show. Makes me laugh and is super cool.

Tommer - Met him in London. As chill as you think he would be. Asked me for some gum....and I actually had some! LOL Where is Tommer?

trackaghost (Sharon) - So sweet and friendly when I met her in London. Love reading her intelligent posts here.

I only met Neil once, the first night at Earls Court 2003 if I remember correctly. He struck me straight away as a really cool dude. Laid back and very friendly.

I'm eternally grateful to Pip for the ticket swap at Earls too so I could sit front row directly before LB instead of right in front of SN (as Jerry Seinfeld might say "Not that theres anything wrong with that") . It worked out great for all of us but it was a great gesture.

The mysterious damp patch. The cot that wouldn't die. The fact that Seteca told T to stay in hiding and the "Seinfeld moment" when he came outta the bathroom, saw the room service dude and walked right back into the bathroom and shut the door.

I've been wanting to reply to this thread, but I feel like my list would be really huge and need to spend a bit of time. And as I read everyone else's, I'm reminded of more people and reasons they are cool, and learning things about them that I didn't know, as well. So then my list becomes monstrous.

I had to stop and laugh my ass off at this, though.

Maria - So nice and down to earth, very strong, suddenly and unexpectedly suprises me with something wickedly funny. I like that.

Wonder what the waiter thought about the guitar and albums on the bed....and our cameras. I can only imagine what went through his mind. He's got a story to tell his friends, I guess.

Oooh, don't think I've heard this one before..sounds intriguing!
love to you too Christy (and hugs for always being positive:D )
I can't really reply to anyone else who's mentioned me as it's really hard to put it online, such private thoughts and all.I'm hoping that certain people will know what they mean to me without having to put it all over the net for the world to see (and I hope you know who you are!)

Need to add someone I've not met in person, but is still my friend. Wetcamelfood (John)....sweet guy who always has time to email even when he's super busy. Did (and is still doing!) an amazing job on the Penguin Discography. CHEERS John and thanks for the Scotland keychains!

Thanks Christy! :)

It's been so long since I've been able to post here regularly that I don't think I can really add anything here (not having a chance to get to know the newbies etc. but all the old (oops, should I say "extinguished"? :) ) gang here know this place was a safe haven for me back in the day so thanks to all of you, you know who you are :) ) but I love this place because lots of cool people come & go here so I bet I'd have a lot of new friends here if I could find the time. Here's hoping I can return once I can get on top of the new discog anyways (though it'll probably be at least a year before then, maybe even more.

Almost ready to build up info on the existing discog items, just having some issues with the sorting but once I can get my head around that, it's only forward movement from there on in. :)

Thanks to all who mentioned me. You really know how to make a gal feel special. :xoxo:

I know I'm forgetting people, I'm sorry, I'm trying to do this quickly at work. Please let's not have a "well, I guess I'm not in the clique so nobody posted about me" bitch session. :( OK?

Brian J - Your help starting my bootleg/demo collection was immeasurable. You don't pussyfoot around in your posts, you say what you really feel. You're a very genuine, down to earth person. You rock.

Stew - You're so often the voice of reason and a kind soul.

Suze - You are one cool hot sexy bitch.

Chili & Homer- I like to argue with you guys, but I really do appreciate your passion for Fleetwood Mac - ALL eras of Fleetwood Mac.

David - I don't know if you realize how big a deal it is to many of us that you share old photographs, audio, articles & memories most of which we've never seen/heard/heard about before. For "newer" fans, this is like finding a treasure chest. Thank you.

Hayley - Gilmore Girls. 'Nuff said.

Jannie C- Great posts, not too longwinded, not talking in circles. Plus, I usually agree.

Maria - I think you are one of the bravest people I know. You're a great person with a big heart. I wish we lived closer so we could go camping & have a few beers together.

Elie, Sahara, Boots - I know you're kind of new, but I really enjoy your posts here. Breathes of fresh air, you all are.

Kate - Sometimes you can be such a bitter bitch. I f*cking love it. For being one of the younger members here, your maturity level and sarcastic wit slay me.

Jyqm - your posts are always interesting, well thought out and thought provoking. Thanks for posting in my "like or dislike" threads.

Jill - one of the nicest people on this board.

Livia - thanks for Patty Griffin.

Macfan 57 - you have taken so much time & effort to post Chris stuff that most of us didn't have. Thank you

Theresa - You're pretty damned cool. For a Canadian. When I am 90, I will say "look at this - it's Lindsey Buckingham's autograph. My friend Theresa got it for me."

Amber - Always there for me. You're an important friend in my life.

Strand, Towie, Jaz, Curty, Sparky, Stew and any other gay boys I'm forgetting to mention - thanks for letting me your resident hag here at The Ledge. God, I love you flamers.

WelchWitchPMD[/B] - I think Pattie is a very warm person. The fact she thanked everyone for her birthday wishes is proof of this. Always drops by to say hi on myspace too. Pattie seems to me very passionate about the band and LB in particular but in a serene kind of way. I hope for a birthday wish you get to see LB in concert very soon.

Funny, I did think of starting a similar thread a little while back...
Then I realised that I didn't really know all that many of you well enough to do that, so I didn't. In a lot of ways I still don't, but I'll take a stab at it anyway:

StreetAngel86 -- Undyingly witty, loyal to Street Angel, obsessed with TOSOTM [getting there!] and full of hilarious comments about Mr Buckingham that frequently have me rolling on the floor. You are much missed! Get yourself back here, girl!

BTFLCHLD -- Thank you so much for making me laugh so hard so often. You crack me up, and when I get kicked off the board for making certain comments about Lindsey, you and StreetAngel86 won't be too far behind me, of that I'm quite certain. For your awesome banners. You had time for me when I was just starting to post frequently and were something of a big sister / mentor to me in that regard! I never said thanks for that. So I'm saying it now!

MacMan -- for the banners. Continue to alternate between amazing us and freaking us out with them!

Madformac -- thank you so much for your comment! I never thought I'd be mentioned here ... such a sweetie! :xoxo: Stevie's coming back. You know she is.

A special word to all of you -- for making this place so nice and friendly for a newcomer both to the fan community and to the board. For making my obsession grow and grow! You're a fabulous bunch of people and I really hope I get to know you all better as time goes on.
Especially the ones I consider to be ... legends.

Yes there are the "Legends of the Ledge", both past and present. You then have the talkers. High post rates and such. These guys keep the threads running along and the posts coming in. Then theres people like me that come and go. Only usually post if they really need to say something. And of course the newcomers (I f**king hate the word "newbies" btw) that bring a fresh approach and absorb and reinvent the threads. I think this is a great community and it only works because everybody is equally important.

A special thanks to Vicky, Jason, Jyqm and Paula for the kind words. It really does mean a lot to this sentimental Italian. :o

I started to type a list of people and some of the things that I love most about them, but as I looked back over it, I remembered more and more people... and I ended up feeling that, no matter how many people I included, I was going to end up forgetting too many others.
So let me just say that I have a special place in my heart for everyone here... yes, even those I spar with (life would be boring if we always agreed with everyone). Hopefully everyone knows how I feel about them, and that no one has ever been offended by any of the opinions I've expressed. :xoxo:

estranged4life - Brian, or Brain as he is sometimes spelled! A stand up guy.

if people are going to mispell my name "Brain", Please feel free to add the word "Damaged" to it so I will know yer talking specifically about me (To avoid the confusions with other Ledgies named "Brian"...Plus in my case now it is indeed true  )

Brian "Hell, It would've been better to have Brain cancer than this effing cyst, at least brain cancer has a cure & treatment" j.

Oh, I'll list a bunch of people specifically when my head quits throbbing (Probably doesnt help matters that I have my stereo playing within 3 feet of my head) & I can think a bit more clearly (Lucky I can either remember my name or find my balls with both hands these days.)

Well, I could add a few more people to the list but I am not going to do that. It seems as though we are saying some 'nice' things about certain people that some other well deserving people are being left out.

I do just want to say that I wish that DrummerDeanna would post more often. I miss the Ledge of old from 2001-2003 and I think that along with you Livia, Greatdarkwing, estranged4life and Wondergirl and once again a few others that I am leaving out that we had a lot of fun.
A lot of people have moved on from here and no longer pop in to even say 'hi'. I often wonder what happens to those people who just seem to leave without a trace.

#1GaeLBernaLFan - I realise you've yet to post despite the fact you joined back in 2004 but everytime I look at the members list, there you are practically at the top and I often wonder, do you like Amores Perros or The Motorcycle Diaries more? Or that one where he's the priest who has sex?

sisterofmoon - you've only posted twice, both times to request an MP3 of If You Ever Did Believe, but what posts! I hope you got it girl, you who has no need of the word "the"!

ThruTheFog - I don't know much about you but somehow I think if we got together we might add up to a rather nice Stevie lyric!

Preliminary list, in no special order.

Trackles (trackaghost, Sharon) - My true love. If she was a boy, I would want to go out with her, but she would be too good for me, and so we would just be friends. I think she is hilarious and insightful and loyal. Others admire her encylopedic knowledge of music. I also love the way she'll say something mildly argumentative, then fret and ask me if it was too mean. As if I would know. Just an all around great person. Oh, and I forgot about her encyclopedic knowledge of movies, too! And she majored in philosophy. Does it get better than that? No. If you don't know Trackie, you should. She understands everything I say. (right? ) Also she'll disagree with me outright, and it will all be fine. Extremely intelligent. Charmed hour, indeed.

Tower - has been incredibly generous and nice to me. Conversely, his peppery, clever, dirty posts have long kept me amused. He really is the most readily perved ledgie. It's quality, not quantity.
Obviously he is very insightful about the Mac and Stevie, and has some great experiences to share. We don't like the same songs always, but I think we understand how we feel about the songs we like.
And if he says something less than complimentary, or anything, really, there's an integrity of opinion there, he never wonders "should I not have said that?" Which is a coveted personality trait of mine, though sadly I will never have four planets in Aries. I don't care that much, but I could definitely care less, and for that lesson I look to Tow. He is also mysterious to me, I can't ever guage quite how he will be or what he will do - and that is interesting. I feel very lucky to know someone so honest, insightful and intelligent.

Paula - I consider her my second best friend after my best friend. And, truthfully, I have more in common with her than my best friend. But that isn't here or there. Gosh, it's hard to describe, but it seems to me that Paula could be everyone's best friend. She makes people feel really comfortable, but not in a boring nice way, in a funny nice way. She's hilarious and nice. She sent me the most magnificent gift for Xmas, plus homeade cookies. (mmmm). I'm sure all of you who met her will agree, I can't imagine anyone not having a good time hanging out with Paula, or not liking her. She has the thing I love in friends, where you could just be hanging out doing nothing, and still have a great time. She has a special balance of personality that can hit the right note anywhere, with anyone. She also doesn't really need to lose any weight that I could see, and her eyes are a really pretty grey/green. Lovely smile as well. And her husband is fiiiiiiine! Which is no less than she deserves.

Sparky - Oh, man, this one is a catch! I would sooooo make him be my boyfriend. He's clever, he has an interesting job, his opinions are insightful and his stories funny. He's deep, yet he makes money and knows what to do with it. He likes to camp and hike and swim and bike and run and be fit and set up a fabulous harem tent by his pool in the summer to sleep in, and he sunbathes naked and loves to take fabulous vacations to places where you can scuba dive and kayak. That is everything I like to do, thus the classification of him as my gay boyfriend. And last but not least, he is nice.

Seeker007 - Truly a standup guy. Always has the time to joke with me here, and never an unkind word for anything. He posts pictures of baby animals, I love animals. And from what I understand is quite the Stevie/Mac collector, and I mean he has some shizz. Treated me to Margaritaville food in Vegas, which was so very lovely. :xoxo: Also organized the meeting, I believe.
Obviously a man with a very kind heart and a good sense of humor. And many of us would not have seen the weird ebay things we have seen if not for him.

Whew, I'm hungry! That was just about one tenth of my list. There are so many special people on the Ledge. As you may have noticed, I could go on and on.
To be continued....:wavey:

Caitlin, it would be best to just drop it. Unfortunately, for some this board is a referesher in ENG 101 when in actuality the majority could well use a refresher in the 900 series or perhaps PSYCH 100. I was thinking, probably a ton of the younger generation will be typing in a similar fashion because of texting, and they grew up with computers, and like that - regardless if they are smart and good spellers. I know for myself, it would actually take me longer to try to type that way, I've tried and it's hard to spell wrong and shorten words and things. But technically, that way does use less letters...

There's a middle ground between being nice and namby pamby, and being an outright bully for no reason, or just because it makes you feel good. Sheesh, go shoot a bunny or something. Making fun of other people in a cruel way doesn't make you look like a better person in comparison. And if it makes you feel like a better person, I'm sad for you.

I wasn't trying to be ****ty, Brian. I live in a mamby pamby town. Touchy feelie peeps out the ying yang. And ya know what? I'm not mamby pamby at all. I say what I think. Political correctness has completely taken over, and free thought is now subject to PC's approval.:(

If someone's too lazy to bother spelling correctly(not just being "dumb"), they should be ABLE to handle being called on it. As I told you in the PM, I am under the assumption that people posting on the net are rational, literate, psychologically fit, adults. If she's not an adult, maybe she should pay more attention in class, rather than wasting her attention here. I'm sure her grades would reflect her doing so.
