Now, c'mon, lets spill their names.........it's Seteca and Madformac! :D
Is it any wonder they haven't been around lately..they've been super busy with all this/rehearsing/promoting and generally getting their act together.
I have the Cd..it's a fantastic effort on everyones part and my fingers are crossed for a very exciting future...given the chance, I can see them challenging any new British group on the scene right now and having seen Franz Ferdinand Live on telly the other night, then, if I was them (FF), I'd definately be worried!

What was the "big friggin' secret" from Post One in this thread, anyway? If two Ledgies have a band, why don't they want us to know??

errr...was there a big secret? oh well...too late now, I've done it!! hahaha.
No big secret..they're good and rearing and ready to go. I'm thinking Linds would be proud to hear how much influence he's had on the lead guitarist :D
the song "the window" (full version of) has a 5min solo in it. ISA style!
Good luck to 'em I say....

Two guitarists with Turner Model 1's in the same band. That doesn't happen very often.

Check It out and let's discuss their music on their messageboard! I already signed in as shackin'up. Maybe it's nice to keep our screennames so we can simply recognize eachother. Those guys Rock!!!!!!!!!
The Buckguitar from seteca and the knopfler-guitar from Madformac are one thind, but it is also interesting to see Seteca's pedalbox. It's almost as long as his....................
Model 1!

[quote]The music is a very strange (but hopefully good!) mix of classic and modern rock, along with some electronica/synth.[quote] Seteca
It's very hard to actually pinpoint any particular style except to say it sounds "big". I swear there's a bit of Pink Floyd and Enigma (remember them!) going on, mixed with Blur, Jethro Tull and LB in places.Something different, instead of some of the rubbish wer'e getting these days .it's such a welcome change to hear something new.

You could be the Herbert Worthington to their Fleetwood Mac!!

and I like what I heard (Not trying to blow any smoke up anyones ass...).
Musically I like it, Definitely hear a bit of Pink Floyd in the mix....But I also hear a bit of the European Goth-Metal too (ie-The electronica elements to the music).
I'm not really a fan of the Modern Rock type of lead vocals, But that's just a minor personal taste to me...Otherwise the music is definitely in its own category
Good job mates...Cheers!

It sounds psychadellic. I feel like I should be smokin sumthin! But I don't really do that :). I heard the Floyd and Lindsey influences for sure, love the guitar.

You'd better save up some moola for the Tan-Hauser Gate world tour. I'll be running the merchandise tables.
Tee-shirts would be rad. I could just make one, but it wouldn't look very professional. LOL

Merchandising tables??? Christy, no less than the US THG Fanclub president please! ( in charge of decent ticket distribution and all that)

Amen to that, sister! Why is it that mere mortals (that would be the fans) can come up with so many ideas on how to run a fan club, but the fan club people couldn't even find their butts without a map and a flashlight (torch for my UK friends)? Sheesh.
I am in the Keith Urban fan club and even that has its problems. Only costs 20 bucks a year, but you get a FRICK of a lot more than you did with FMs. I got 8th row to the Oklahoma City show this past March through his fan club pre-sale. Not bad.
Fan clubs these days seem to mostly be crap. I was in the NKOTB fan club back in the day, as well and we got a card, a shirt, a picture, newsletters, etc. That's the way it should be.
I think that the fans are just more passionate about the band/artist, that's why they can come up with ideas. Love for art sparks creativity.

why am I not surprised (Ya know where we sat)
And yes Monkeyville owns the lame and overpriced FM fan snub, I meant club.

PLUS, Keith mentions Monkeyville and the fan club members all the time. He appreciates his fans and shows it. :) He allows cameras into his concerts because there is a calendar made every year that is sold to raise money for St. Judes and they use fan photos for the calendar. Very cool idea.

so true...If any fan club is worth joining I would say KU's is #1 on the list.
