This is one of my favorites. The music makes me feel like I'm waking up on a nice bright sunny day. It's so upbeat, it just makes me happy. I sing along to this tune all the time. Parts of it also get randomly stuck in my head quite often.
The way "think about it, think about it before you go" flows is great. As for the lyrics themselves, I really like:
"Heartbreak of the moment is not endless"
"I am just one small part of forever"
"And the heart says danger"
The one tiny thing that bugs me a little is how she repeats "your fortune is your life's love" in the last verse so close together. Almost like she couldn't think of anything else to stick in there.
This was done live, right? I think I have it on one of my '81 boots. I like it equally live vs. album. I'd love to hear it live now. I think she could definitely pull it off.
Now, album vs. Rumours Remaster version - that's tough. I don't think I can choose. I love them both - it's just so cool to have 2 totally different versions of the same song.

Not a favourite... and I definitely like the reissue version better. That being said, I DO love the line "You'll go on forever... you're that good." I've always thought Christine must have been so touched when Stevie wrote her that line. Not to mention, the fact that she wrote her the whole song. Very sweet sentiment.

I'm quite fond of "Think About It." It's upbeat and positive, and his lifted my mood on several occasions. I love the opening line: "step into the velvet of the morning." Plus, I love that it was written for Christine.

This song absolutely soars in every aspect. I've loved it from the beginning, and it's one that I love more and more as the years pass.

I absolutely love this song. One of my Stevie favorites. I love how it opens with the lyrics, "step into the velvet of the morning." Some of Stevie songs can be depressing so I really like how this song has a glowing, sunny feel to it. I not sure which version I like better. Right now I'm leaning towards the Belladonna one but for a while I preferred the Rumours version better.

Ditto. Not crazy about the music at all.

There was a time when it was in my top 5. Now it's top 20. It got me through many rough times in my late teens. I love her voice and (like many of my favorite Stevie songs) the combination of guitar & piano. The falling star catcher/one small part of forever part is perfection.
When I first heard the Rumours re-issue I thought it was catchier on a first listen, but not as powerful or aesthetically pleasing. But I've thought if I were on American Idol for country night (don't worry, I know I can't sing at all - and I'm too old), the Rumours re-issue version would be fun for the crowd.

I love this song. I am so glad she did it live for the Bella Donna tour. i thought it was a great song to follow up Gold Dust Woman. And ANY song that is written about Christine is awesome in my book.

I love the Rumours era version much better than the solo one. I don't like the extra stuff that is in the solo version "And the heart says DANGER" . . .
To me, that part doesn't seem to flow with the rest.

I really like this song. It's probably in my top 20. I love every version, and think the lyrics are very personal.....well, to me anyway....it's kind of amazing... The one from Rumours is pretty kick-ass, but the version on Bella Donna is waaaaaay more heartfelt, in terms of the vocal from Stevie.
Honestly, I am unable to understand why this didn't make the 1976 Rumours album - but, then again, I don't know what it could have replaced. Maybe Oh Daddy. :) *wink*

Uh, wow this is tough. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Rumours version. It is fun, upbeat and totally charming. I like the BD version ok but in my little head it pales in comparison to the Mac version. I prefer it a bit faster and with Lindsey singing on it. (I'd rather him sing on everything with her anyway so, no surprise)

I think its good but not great. So far its the only of these song threads where I dont think its great. Im going to take a wild guess and say After the Glitter Fades is next  now that I despise.
The Rumours demo is great though.

Think About It is one of Stevie's great uplifting songs. My favorite version is with just her and the girls singing it live with Roy Bittan playing piano.

Definitely a great song, maybe not in my top 5 but definitely in my top 20. I've always loved the song even before the Rumours re-issue, but I think the demo version was definitely a new (old? ) spin on the song.... if I had to choose, I'd probably say BOTH.

This is a great song with fantastic lyrics. Makes you realize just how close Stevie and Christine were at that time. It's a great song because it marks a point in time of Rumours from Stevie's point of view, but not about Lindsey.
I like Bella Donna arrangement better. Just has less of a country feel on Bella Donna.

This song blows.
Never liked it, never will. I like some of the lyrics, but that's about it. It reeks of being album filler.

I'm not as fond of it on Bella Donna, although it's still ok.
I really like the outtake version we got with the reissue, though. I think the faster pace, and more spare instrumental, not to mention the effect that has of shortening Stevie's vowels and tightening the whole thing up, make it way better. I mean, of course it's better with FM... ;) Plus, I also don't care for "well the haht says danger...well the haht says whateveh" part, ( blergh, Stevie) so the reissue really works for me.

I really like this song, which is weird because normally I'm not into country, and this song definitely has a country vibe. But I'll reiterate what many others have already said: the message is so positive and uplifting, and I think it's really cool she wrote this for Christine. I also just think it's a good song in it's own right--it's very strong all-around: good phrasing (well, maybe not all aspects of it--"the heart says whatevah...it is etc.," LOL, it sounds like she's just saying "the heart says 'whatever.'" But at least she's not actually saying that. Anyway, catchy melody, decent lyrics, etc. I think it would be pretty cool if Stevie did this song live, actually!

This is the first song that I've voted the very top on, I absolutely adore it  This one of those songs where if I'm really upset, I know that I can turn it on and feel a litle better. I even like her phrasing on it, including "and the heart says whatevah"   Seriously, IMO, this is Stevie in top form lyrically, it doesn't get much better than " I am only one small part of forever" and " you'll go on forever...you're that good " * although, as I'm typing those 2 out so close, it seems like an overuse of the word "forever" but I'm just going to ignore that :wavey: *
