IMMUNITY QUESTIONS: ROUND 6
A few new questions have been added. Any question carried over to the next round is automatically worth TWO immunities.
1. (worth two immunities) This longtime friend & associate worked with Fleetwood Mac as part of the crew on several tours & also provided studio assistance to the band on many occasions. He was known for years as "The Beaver." What is this person's real name?
2. (worth two immunities) On July 18, 1986, during the Stevie Nicks concert at the Inglewood Forum, to whom did Stevie dedicate "Beauty & the Beast" & what did that person do for a living?
3. (worth two immunities) On June 15, 1984, during the Christine McVie concert at Universal Amphitheatre, two other members of Fleetwood Mac entered from the side during the show & sat down in the first few rows. Name the song in the set during which they were seated.
4. (worth two immunities) On August 31, 1980, during a Fleetwood Mac concert at the Hollywood Bowl, Stevie Nicks made indirect reference to a song of hers while thanking the audience & saying goodnight. Which song did she reference?
5. What was the name of the label with which Buckingham Nicks first signed a deal, shortly after moving to L.A.? ANTHEM -- SteveMacD first with correct answer -- NO IMMUNITY REQUESTED FOR ROUND 5. NANCY SAID DAVE SWANEY PRODUCTIONS, BUT THAT WAS IN MID-DECEMBER 1972, SO CHANCES ARE THEY SIGNED WITH ANTHEM FIRST. BUT SINCE STEVE DIDN'T REQUEST IMMUNITY, QUESTION WILL BE THROWN OUT.
6. What was the name of the manager of Fritz? DAVID FORREST -- Hippocampus first with correct answer -- IMMUNITY TO STEVIE NICKS FOR ROUND 5
7. Back in the late 1970s, John Stewart & Lindsey Buckingham talked about forming a band to record an album just for fun. What were they going to call the band?
8. Which Fleetwood Macster once said, "In the '60s, rock 'n' roll was a change of attitude -- a drastic change which I think the Beatles were hugely responsible for"?
9. To celebrate sellout shows at the Garden, Warner Brothers threw a party for Fleetwood Mac at a top New York Club in the summer of 1977. Which of the following celebrities did NOT show: Rick Derringer, Bonnie Raitt, Bryan Ferry?

Billy Burnette, but I change it to Jeremy if Billy has immunity. this immunity thing should really be much more orginized especially as we have less people.Nobody has immunity in this round (Round 7). As I understand it, if someone answers any of the questions correctly & picks Billy, then Billy is immune for this round (if he happens to be voted out).
People have been picking immunees who aren't being voted out anyway, or else not picking anyone at all.

David
07-08-2005, 11:04 AM
Agreed.
Immunity only works if it's granted before the voting. Otherwise you might as well not bother with it at all.No, here's why. Let's say we're playing Round 1 & Christy answers the question correctly & she picks Lindsey for immunity (unbelievable, right?). Lindsey has to be granted immunity for THAT round because he can be granted immunity for ONLY ONE round, & if he is granted immunity for Round 2, what if I'm still tallying the votes for Round 1 & Lindsey is voted off?
You see?
You guys said that it's "pointless" to vote for someone who is immune. But that IS the point! It's like getting a shot of antivirus for the flu to make you immune. The flu might still try to attack you, but you will be immune to its dangers.
So in any given round, people vote off whomever they want to vote off, without knowing who will be granted immunity -- that's the unexpectedness of it, that's the chance of it, that's the fun of it! If in the middle of Round 1, a bunch of you want Lindsey off & you vote to get rid of him, here comes Christy during that same round & answers the question correctly & says, "SAVE LINDSEY THIS ROUND!!" Then all your votes to oust him have been in vain -- that's Christy's reward for answering the question correctly!
You see?
Whereas if I grant Lindsey immunity for Round 2 ... he's already GONE by the tallying up of Round 1, so that doesn't work!! The only way to make that work is to grant him immunity for Round 1 AND 2, & that's bogus!

I can't believe people voted for Jeremy Spencer while Billy was still in though, and for Bob Weston while Rick Vito was still around... there is no accounting for taste :blob2:
You got something against Vito? Jeez, to me he's the 2nd best guitarist FMac ever had (behind PG of course)

No, definitely nothing against him, but I'm trying to go on each member's Mac stuff, rather than solo output. Vito is very good for sure but his time with Mac seemed a bit ordinary, and I prefer Weston and Kirwan (apart from Green of course), and Spencer (sometimes) :woohoo:

A load of people ARE out before them... I know I'm a bit outré in all this malarkey, but for me, Stevie's time is just about up, and Lindsey's isn't too far away either. We're all different, you know :)

The Buckheads fired the first shot, so don't blame the Stevie fans!

It was just time to turn up the heat and let it boil over.
There's absolutely no way everyone's going to be satisfied with the "winner"... so we should just have fun with it. :)

Which Fleetwood Macster once said, "In the '60s, rock 'n' roll was a change of attitude -- a drastic change which I think the Beatles were hugely responsible for"?Billy Burnette.
If so, then immunity to Stevie.

As in modern jargon when "bad=good"; in this game "winner"=LOSER!

Chris will win. The Keyboarders (aka Chris fans) will be pleased.

I'd like to see Christine win. The most hits, the sunny pop songs that defined what mass audiences came to know as the Fleetwood Mac sound, a beautiful voice, and a class act. I say she finally deserves the recognition, bitches!

Some things are beyond the realm of possibility. I think I have a better chance of winning the Powerball Lottery than Peter Green winning this Survivor.

Well, you just type the round number and either Lindsey or Stevie's name in the subject...easy as that.
Duh!
Billy is a much weaker member of Mac. He can't sing and his guitar playing isn't that great either!

Mick John or PG should win.
if lindsey and peter were in the final I'd vote out Lindsey in a blink of an eye.

"can't sing"?!? Did Rite Aid run out of earwax remover in your town?

I'll say Rick Vito. Immunity to Stevie.
