I've never liked Hanks in anything but Bosom Buddies, and even there I preferred Henry/Hildegarde/Peter Scolari.
I'm not big on any of Gwen's music. She's got charisma & a great body, but I don't get the music thing.
Do you hate the pasta part of spaghetti, the sauce, or both? Personally, I don't mind it, but I much prefer angel hair.

Hanks sucks more than Jenna Jameson. He's AWFUL.
I'm not big on any of Gwen's music. She's got charisma & a great body, but I don't get the music thing.
She's become more of a twit in the past couple of years, substituting style for any substance. Her once great, sporty bod has gotten too Ally McBeal-ish.

Cliquish groups of people
Men who can't make love properly but think they can
Star Wars/LOTR/Mash/Seinfeld (I agree!)
People who watch TV all the time, especially when it's tuned to ESPN 24/7
Lindsey Buckingham *unless he's playing his guitar*. His persona with the ladies gives me the willies big time :sorry:
Cheese that smells
Eggs
Chick flicks where the woman (or anyone) inevitably dies
Sappy music
People who don't tend to their crying babies/children in public
People who say they like what I like when they really don't in the hopes of scoring *whatever*
People who come to visit and bitch about the smog and traffic non-stop until they leave (stay home next time).

Fake laughs or smiles
Pompous people who try to tell me how to live my life
 Ok, that felt gooood. That's all for now. I'm sure I can think of more..
Here's another Star Wars/LOTR hater. I do love star trek, but just because I like some sci-fi it doesn't mean I like all of it.
Migraine headaches? Forgot who listed that, but who would like that?
Haagen Dasz. (sp?!) Much too sweet.
Real Winners. The kind of person who'll go for it all, highly disciplined of course, no idea of fun even they're often the type to walk around with big fake smiles. I hate them. I like the loser/underdog type much better.

I just got an invitation today for my cousin's graduation. The worst part is that it is at their house the end of June and they have a pool. I am pretty sure that means the party will be outside and I HATE SITTING IN THE SUN!!
The teens and kids will be in the pool and I will be with the old coots in the fricken sun.

Send a card, that's all they want anyway. You don't have to go to all these things if you don't want to!
I once skipped a coworker's wedding for a Stevie concert! If we were friends it would have been different but when I was new to the department she and the boss were very cliquey and not so nice to me. We did get to know each other and become friendly but I never forgot that awful cattyness. I told her I had a prior engagement but someone told her that I went to see Stevie! I'm sure she is over it and now that I don't work with her, guess what? Trust me if it was anyone else I would blow them right off. It is my first cousin's daughter, however. I can't do that. Nope. I had a pair of parakeets. The female was the devil herself, I swear it. I had to seperate them because she kept ripping the feathers out of the male's head. When she no longer had him to attack she switched to banging her cage door, throwing seed, splashing water and ****ting everywhere.
After four years of that ****, I called an avian rescue and said "Come get these little bastards!." The volunteer that picked them up ended up keeping them for herself. Good riddance.

I also dont like sketch comedy. Like Who's Line is It Anyway? I despise that stuff. I also dont particularly care for stand up comedy either. I dunno why.
I really hate it when you're out in public and parents let their children cry and whine and pitch fits. You look over at these people thinking "hey can you spare us the God-awful noises coming out of your brats mouth?" Nine times out of ten the parents are completely tune it out. I just dont get it...dont bring your damn hellraisers out if they are gonna act like that. I would be embarrased if I were a parent and my kids acted that way.

HA! Yeah I told that story weeks back. My friend Brian and I were at Arbys a few years ago, and somehow we were talking about me going to see Fleetwood Mac before we walked into the place. Brian is not a fan of the Mac at all...so.. As we're standing in line he points to one of the roast beef sandwiches on the menu and said "Man I bet thats what Stevie Nicks' **ssy looks like." We laughed so hard, and then I said "Bro, I can and never will be able to eat another roast beef sammich again."

I hated lima beans when I was little. Now I like them, but they're better cold than hot.

Ha. That's now more than two people that dislike Bruce! I just find him to be incredibly boring. His voice does nothing for me at all.
Lima beans remind me of wrinkled big toes. I think they smell and taste equally horrible. If I have to eat beans, i'll take string beans.
You can't get away with hating pasta or seafood in this family. Thusly, i'm screwed (I'm not a big seafood fan). I don't like clams at all--only if they're incredibly small--too chewy for me :distress:
If Rhiannon comes on the radio, I won't change the station. If she plays it (ha...more like when because it's a given), I won't get up for a pee break or anything--it's just not my favorite at all. I think it's played out. Rumours is my least favorite Fleetwood Mac album *ducks*
Pork--blah. Every once in a while, i'll eat red meat (I'm not a good eater and I get sick a lot so I need some iron because I don't take vitimins).
Caviar? Never had it but I can't imagine i'd like it very much. I can't get passed the fish eggs bit.
The first time I saw Star Wars (was forced to watch, rather) was with Meredith in North Carolina. I got the lowdown on everything--I don't think i'll ever watch it again (sorry, Mere!)
I can deal with Yogurt (only certain brands and certain flavors) but I'm with you--no lumps, please.

It took me awhile to get it too...Jerry is playing himself, he's not acting. He cant act anyways, he's terrible at it. The funny part about the show is all the people he surrounds himself with. George and his neurotic paranoia...Elaine being the meticulous one and Kramer...well he's just Kramer. My dad didnt care for the show all the much either, but he'd watch it just for Kramer. And George's parents? Good Lord...they are the funniest pair of old people I've ever seen! And what about Newman? The creepy caniving postal worker? Classic!

Starbucks burnt-ass coffee (Coffee Bean is much better)

BTW - I tend to get on my high horse about people with children thinking they should get all the breaks because they have soooooo much to deal with. I get that kids are work, but childless people have other things that tie them up too, yet the govt. does not give them automatic tax breaks, etc. It just chaps my a$$ and not in a good way

I suffered through Velvet Goldmine for the second time on Monday night because my lovely Christian Bale was in it and I actually came away with a different opinion of Ewan. He wasn't bad in that movie. Jonathan Rhys Meyers, though....woof, he was just as awful as I remembered.

VG has been airing on IFC for awhile now -- it is a pretty good movie if you like that Brit alternative scene thing and, of course, three of the hootest male stars around today in gay nude sex scenes  Bale choking on the broach in the beer was a little to far out for me though and I am not a huge fan of his

Bale is the only hot one in that movie, the rest gross me out. I think the movie itself is poorly made. Bad script (for the most part), badly acted by Meyers, and too self-conscious (the music video scenes are just too absurd). Toni Collette is a hoot in it, though, and I love the opening title sequence. I saw it in the theater back wehn it came out and thought it was just putrid.

I do not mind him, but I am just not a huge fan. I did not American Psycho because I thought it was meandering and silly. I did like him Empire of the Sun - in fact, he was brilliant in that. He was also pretty good in Metroland - which was okay. Of course, he was best as "Thomas" in Pocahontas :] :]
Also - Toni Collette is always great IMO!!!!!

You didn't like American Psycho?! It feels like you just stabbed me in the heart...! Empire of the Sun is one of the few Spielberg movies I like and it's mostly because of Bale. He captured the character brilliantly, exactly as it reads in the book, which is stunning considering he was only 12. You should rent All the Little Animals with him and John Hurt, too. Not only is it a fantastic and beautiful movie, but he's amazing in it. He could play any role, I'm convinced of it.
Here's that article, too. http://www.christianbale.net/articles/2004/salon2004.htm
My favorite part?
About three DVDs into my bale of Bale, I began genuflecting deeply to my laptop, a changed harridan. I watched, over hours, the proverbial sword get pulled from the stone. Hear ye, and believe it or not: Christian Bale is the Arthur Rex of leading men -- the Once and Future King, born to rule the light-projected dimension of the silver screen in a natural, inalienable, yes, maybe even holy way; a real honest-to-God ****ing star, with a frightening load of multiple talents, dazzling instincts, deadly beauty, cannonball cojones, a killer sense of comic timing, deeply empathic humanity and effortless authority that no actor in this country could get within 1,000 miles of, even in a Hummer.
It alarms me to say it, but I can't even think of an American actor in any era who, in his heyday, had as much mojo going on as many different cylinders, as Christian Bale ... Judy Garland? Nope, too screwed up; she didn't own herself. Marlon Brando? Nope, too flawed, too egomaniacal, too limited ... Frank Sinatra? Same ... Fred Astaire? Not sexy enough .. Buster Keaton? Not chameleon enough ... It's scary, but true. I think Bale is legitimately superhuman -- an advanced, evolutionary leap into Future Movie Stardom. He's the Michael Jordan of film actors -- the übermensch who takes the sport so much further than it was possible to conceive of its being taken, in one generation, that it changes the face of the game forever. And nobody really knows it yet.
Bale has done the more or less impossible: He was a child star who successfully became an adolescent star (while avoiding becoming a teen idol, incredibly) who successfully made the turn into being a serious adult actor. He is a virtual shape-shifter, shamanic and stealthy -- he comes and goes, he leaves a hook in your consciousness with some druidic act of goose-bump-raising screen voodoo, he vanishes; he reappears years later, wholly transformed, doing something completely different, but equally mind-boggling. I realized, re-watching the films I thought he sucked in, that even when he looks like he's sucking, he's brilliant -- once you've seen two or three other examples of his possibly limitless range, you realize that in roles where he isn't obviously hurting your eyes with his ultra-bright Apollo gleam, he is transmitting his role from the dark part of a distant planet, doing the kind of hard thespian thinking that is a real privilege to see, in a dunced-out medium like the movies.

It was really the way ot was shot and I just thought it was silly. I am not saying it was a bad movie, it just did not appeal to me, plus gore is not my fav. thing. Fargo is another one - I just did not like it, though FM was brilliant in it. I though Fargo was just too slow for me to like, even though I get that its tepid pace was the point. I did LOVE when the bimbo was having sex on top of WH Macy and the scene opens with her in that dialect screaming something like "HAAAHHHHHRRRRIIIEEE - wwhheerrree arre youuuuussee"
