Have you seen pictures of her at Cannes this past week? She actually looked classy and...demure.

No, I haven't. Wonders never cease.

If someone poked fun at Stevie on a Britney message board, would that be okay? I don't understand your point.
Just like I don't understand his point - I was specifically referring to people insulting Chris versus people insulting Stevie as it relates to the fact that Jessica might read the board. To bring in extraneous BS about making fun of other people just doesn't make sense to me. :wavey: And why would I attempt to call him on that, anyway? He's always making fun of somebody, so it would be pointless.

Stevie didn't join the band to be the star.

While you may see it as "extraneous BS" apparently many do not

Well, it's my point, and I was referring to Chris and STevie as related to Jessica. Y'all can have your separate argument about making fun of all people in general, but that is simply not what I was referring to. See?

Certainly Chris would not have considered her the star of the band....or put up with Diva behavior.

No Chris was too busy having the windows removed from her hotel room so a grand piano could be put in it nightly. This according to John.

While you may see it as "extraneous BS" apparently many do not :shrug:I think Amber's just trying to say that if you're going to get your feathers ruffled by unkind comments about Kristen Buckingham, then you should be just as disgusted by equally unkind comments about Christopher Nicks.

Neither is a celebrity... only the relatives of celebrities. So one can argue all day and night that a celebrity is fair game, but shouldn't condemn the verbal abuse hurled towards Lindsey's wife, while condoning the same behaviour in regards to Stevie's brother.

I agree with that and said so earlier. But she also indicated it was okay to insult other celebs on this board because they are not members of FM.

That's not even involved in my original point at all!!! I was calling hypocritical about the fact that it's not cool to talk about Chris, because of Jessica, but that somehow it is okay to talk about STevie, even though she is also related to Jessica.
And I really don't give a crap if people make fun of celebrities, or whoever, my point was that if Diss is going to be up in arms about talking about CHris in case Jessica reads it, then the same respect should be afforded Stevie, because Jessica may also read the stuff about HER!.

Well, it's okay to insult FM, but if you're going to do it, don't be hypocritical about it, and say it's okay to insult some members, but not okay to insult others, and bring up the reasoning that Jessica will see it as your backing. Just be consistent.
AND? I REALLY COULDN'T GIVE A CRAP IF PEOPLE MAKE FUN OF CELEBRITIES!!! But so what? That still wasn't part of my point.

Yes, but unlike Christopher Nicks, I've never met Kristen or observed any tasteless behavior from her. Let alone know enough about her to say half of the things that people say about her being a baby-baiter.

But does the need to point any observation you have seen Chris Nicks do outweigh the possible pain it may cause his daughter to read it? If so, then all of the eyewitness sightings of K in a not so flattering situation or whatever are also fair game

I've never made any comments about Chris Nicks. I haven't even criticized his handling of Stevie's merchandising, etc. I don't think attacks on him personally are right, but I don't see a problem with calling him out on how he handles some of Stevie's marketing.

Of course they're fair game. The only stuff I take offense to when it comes to Kristen is when people say that she got pregnant to get Lindsey to marry her and crap like that as if it were fact. Or that loony tune who once said that Kristen was a surrogate for Lindsey and Stevie.

It's as much hearsay as the comments about Kristen being a snobbish gold-digger, and equally offensive, IMO.

But, they wre purposefully rude and downright cruel to her. Have you ever seen the Tusk footage that is not in the doc. If I were Stevie I would have cracked both LB abd CM on the head for some of the crap they gave her.

I had no idea there was outtake footage from the Tusk documentary floating around. How much is there? Can you share an example of crap they gave Stevie? Gee, I never thought about the abuse she must endure with the band. I suspect that Lindsey and Chris can be brutually cold and harsh.

I saw someone else's copy. I do not have my own. An example though was when recording Angel, La Nicks records some different sounding "Angels" and then in a bubbly manner says while they are all at the mixing board something like "those can be the harmony Angels" and then repeats it a few times when no response is given. Stevie is so up and happy and then Chris, rather rudely replies - yea harmony Angels we get it. To me, the tone of that reply and that she did not even look up was rude, esp. in the light of Stevie's obviously happy nature. It was rather patronizing.

In the end though, I am sure La Nicks had her moments so I am not laying all of that on the other four.
