I wish the us radio stations did have live feeds or "listen live" but it has to do with copyright laws or something like that and there is no way for them to track the number of listeners for royalty payments to the artists... That's what I understand about why there aren't live feeds.

oh, I use audacity. (audacity.com). Last night i recorded for a long time using it. but then you have to dl LAME, too, to be able to export it as MP3. Anyway, I figured it out, with a little help. I guess that's my main suggestion. :shrug:

You could use Cool Edit (I have.... 2000), which *should* let you record it (it lets me record from a microphone I have) and save to .wav or .mp3. Then you can upload it to your webspace. :)

Yeah cool edit though has a 60 second limit unless you buy it. I seem to have found something that works but it definitely sounds like crap.

I have tons of webspace & can post if need be. I can also convert from .wav to .mp3 to make files smaller. I also just discovered my laptop has a built-in mic (duh, Tiff), so I may be able to record & upload tonight afterall, if I can get my setup figured out.

Sadly no. All the people who got to ask questions were like, "Where would you retire?" "How can I meet you?" "Will Fleetwood Mac be in LA anytime soon?" "Will you be in LA anytime soon" (those last two were actually separate calls). Congrats to any who got through but there could have been better questions:

1. Any solo DVD releases planned to capture the magic of your solo tours?
2. WIll this show be more of a hits show or more like the fan-favorite enchanted tour with some really, really great not-often-heard songs and all the wonderful stage chat?
3. With this being the first time you've toured without a new album are there plans for a new Greatest hits package, reissues, or are you recording new songs?

Great interview. I loved the part where she talked about having not listened to TISL since the end of the tour. Seemed like a very personal statement that she shared. I really haven't listened to that album much since then either. The couple of times that I did listen to it, had a weird feeling, like going back to a place that was happy but sad... very much a yin and yang thing. Remember how happy we all were when the album came out and then 9-11 had to happen and everyone was so scared because we knew STevie was over there somewhere... and were trying to figure out how and when we would know if she was okay. WOW! I can imagine how she must feel because that album meant a lot to her.

It's going to be very unnatural for her. But I'm glad that she is considering it. She did do it at least once on the Street Angel tour, and you could tell she wasn't totally comfortable. She just pulled the mic off and croached down by the front of the stage during Edge of Seventeen, if memory serves correctly.

Ah, I just posted in another thread: that file is supposed to be 14:23 in length and is the section where she talks about the Highwayman. The original file and the uploaded file are correct. I e-mailed Daniel about it and included the original file in case he needs to re-up it. Sorry to all the folks that e-mailed me and received responses saying that the file was not cut off.

I distinctly remember being blasted when FFG was discussed around here during TISL...I was told in no uncertain terms that it was NOT about Lindsey, it was about all the members of FM and that the specific line Stevie refers to about "walking out the door" was about Christine leaving the band!

(which I know might not be autobiographical..I don't INSIST it is..ya'll thought FFG wasn't about LB either) She went on to say that he inspires her and she inspires him. I can sympathize. I was blasted ages ago on "another board" for even suggesting Storms could have been about Mick. Honestly, I felt like a piece of crap. Like I was betraying the love between Stevie and Lindsey or something. Fact remains, and she confirmed it last night, she and Mick had soemthing really deep and special. She called him one of her 3 great loves. Blah blah blah. Sorry - getting carried away. But I will forever be grateful to Stevie for finally confirming this!!! (BTW, it strengthens my theory that Beautiful Child is also about Mick... but I digress).

I also always hoped and thought that FFG was about Lindsey, too, Kelly. I mean, if you listen to much of TISL, it is about Lindsey, right? (Bombay Sapphires, anyone?). She is telling the story of her and Lindsey during the Dance tour on TISL and SYW. My opinion, anyway.

Now if Stevie would just confirm the subjects of her other hundreds of songs and demos....

She is definitely WAY more forthcoming with this guy!! There should be a new rule: Only Jim Ladd interviews for Stevie.That's an old rule -- established by fans about 25 yrs ago.

The fans really meant it then & they still really mean it!

P.S. If Ladd gets his star on Hollywood Blvd. (where did I hear that?), Stevie might show up for the ceremony & even say a few words.

P.P.S. I always wonder why Stevie didn't talk to Ladd in '89. She talked to him in '76, '79, '81, '82, '83, '86, '91 (backstage at the Whiskey), '94 & '98. Did she talk to him in '01? How about this idea for a Web site: Post audio files of all the Jim Ladd conversations with Stevie (or even the rest of Mac), along with photos of them together.

Well, Jim Ladd talked about how it was sublime and shamanic, then Stevie said it "took her to that place, too" (cause Jim said, to him, that really took him to the Stevie place, beyond and otherworldly) then Stevie said how she maybe would want to include it on her upcoming 6 months or so of touring that she thinks she'll be doing.Jim used to be known in Los Angeles for his "programmatic" evening radio shows. He'd develop some sort of theme (usually a hippiefied theme about peace, love & understanding) & then play a bunch of different songs that seemed to render this theme in different ways. Whenever his theme would get a little trancey or ominous, he'd play "Sisters of the Moon."

And of course that's the first Stevie Nicks-era Mac song he played as part of his famous '79 Innerview with her.

Track 3 I believe is okay even with the silence. The interview part on it ends with them playing Dreams. Track #4 starts as Dreams has just been played. So I think it's alright.
