HER COLLECTION IS ASS and she is a total troll bitch from hell. And her mother?? What was that whole scene on the balcony about? O_o I'm for Jay all the way  I love the whole idea behind his collection too...it looks amazing. I just hope the rest of his models show up.

What the hell happened to Parker Posey's hair?
Is she playing Liz Taylor (in the bad drug years) in a movie I haven't heard about yet?
  :distress:

I thought her collection was fabulous. Some of the cuts on those dresses were jaw-droppingly gorgeous. I really liked it and I haven't even liked half of her other designs.
Jay was amazing, though. He deserved to win. Truly creative and beautiful.
Kara Saun? Oh.My.Gah. TERRIBLE. There can be no question that she is a costume designer. Each dress had the same cut and fit, they all looked like something you'd find at your local mall in that gross Debs store. The caps really put the whole collection over the top and made everything look costumey. It all just hurt my eyes. Garrish and tacky; I couldn't believe it.

Michael Kors did everything but accuse Kara of stealing all her designs from Gucci... And that dress the model couldn't walk in? Even *I* know that was a bad idea, and I'm sitting here in a ripped t-shirt.

She totally was tripping down the runway...she should have really took it up an inch. Even though she thinks it might have taken away from the dress, it wouldn't have pulled the focus away from the design and onto the model.

He wasn't wrong, though. They were very cheap and uninspired. Rather lazy and old hat if you ask me. She used too many leathers and when she threw in fur, she coordinated it too well with the dress itself so that the fur lost any intensity that it might have had; it just blended too well. Her use of accessories was horrific, every one of the belts was the same, only on a different garment.
Don't even get me started on the cliched awfulness of a dress that her top model was wearing. I've seen that dress dozens of times and it's usually been much better. It truly looked like something Anna Nicole would have tried to wear at 250 pounds.

This is the same woman who insisted on the Genie pants with her Grammy outfit.

Michael Kors has been pilfering from himself for years. I haven't seen anything remotely appealing or attractive from him in ages; he's been sliding downhill for as long as I can remember. He'll be on QVC within five years, mark my words.
His shoes are just about the bloody ugliest things I've ever seen, too.

Were we watching the same designs come down the runway in regards to Wendy? To me, Wendy's problem was that she tried too hard to make her designs her own and it came out looking like total Eurotrash. Had Tim not showed up, look at what would have went down the runway. The only piece I liked from her collection was the red dress that was a total throwback to Grace Kelly--it was gorgeous but I like that style. And furthermore, HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW YOU NEED YOUR OWN ACCESSORIES?! Honestly the only person I felt bad for there was Melissa because she ended up with Wendy but i've no doubt she'll end up with a stellar modeling contract out of this anyway.
Kara Saun...her designs themselves are impeccible and her dresses are very wearable but i'll agree...it looks like Gucci right down to the addition of the belt.
Jay's I absolutely loved. While I wouldn't necessarily wear everything in the collection (but I would totally steal his purple patchwork trench...it was GORGEOUS!) it flowed and it was him to a tee. I loved it.
All in all, I feel they chose the right person and it'll be interesting to see where he goes with this.

Well, he already is in lower end, but still nice, dept. stores here. I think he uses color effectively and I like the cuts of some of his things. He just, to me, borders sometimes on Garanimals and for the price it is just not worth it.

We most certainly were. 10 out of 12 were stunning to these eyes. Understated, elegant, cut perfectly, and the fabrics were phenomenal. Unlike Austin, she knows how to pull of glamour without looking like a design school sophmore. Totally loved her collection.

Her designs are as wearable as a used condom. She tries too hard and ends up getting mired in tackiness and tediousness. Too over the top, loud, and costumey. She's good for the movies, but not for much else, IMO. And I am so happy I don't need to see her sanctimonious, egotistical, bitchy little ass anymore. She's a horror of epic proportions.

Which is hilarious because he would always accuse these designers of bordering on Garanimals. I cringed every time he would say someone's design looked dowdy because he's the King of the Dowdy. He can use color perfectly, but if the garment itself is unflattering (which I believe 98% of his designs to be) and rather amateurish looking, color will do nothing to save it. He's over, clear the schedule for him at HSN.

PUHLEASE. Speaking of condoms, you wouldn't need any protection in Wendy's line cause you're never getting laid in a frock like that  Kara and Wendy deserve each other and were equally as annoying and dramatic tonight. I was actually hoping they would just beat the piss out of one another. Now that's good TV.

Eh, I didn't care for that dress or the red one that you liked (too classic for me). But I loved the rest and found them tasteful, original, and wearable. I hate fashion that looks costumey.

I like Wendy because she doesn't beat around the bush and doesn't try to be anyone she isn't (and I've found myself oddly attracted to her a few times  ), but Kara? Bitch is a bitch. Plain and simple. I wouldn't let her dress a birthday clown.

Y'all are cracking me up - Austin was my favorite, although I didn't like everything he did, I appreciated his penchant for the old Hollywood glam. I adored his swimsuit/dress.
I'm happy that Jay won - especially after seeing what truly humble beginnings he came from....Kara's designs tonight were not her best - and I agree, not enough variety. Both she and that blonde chick from Miami ripped off Roberto Cavalli a lot, imo. He's one of my favorites - and Badgley/Mishka.
That atrocious green-skirt thing that Wendy made looked like seaweed. That Cruella de Ville dye job suits her...
I cracked up when Jay said "Auf Weinerschnitzel" to Heidi.
So what exactly does Jay "win?" Money to start his own company?

Jay gets $100,000 in seed money to help him launch his own line AND he gets a mentorship from the Banana Republic Design Team. Not a bad way to start off for a guy living out in rural PA

She was off her rocker last night. When they introduced her to the crowd at Olympus Fashion Week, she looked insane. And the way she sat in her chair, fussing all over the place. Oy.

No, I don't think so. I wouldn't necessarily wear everything in his line but I certainly thought it was the most creative and his design was representative of him. I think Wendy is a dowdy designer for the most part and her designs were not representative of how she had designed the entire show. The only thing i've ever liked from her is the Banana Republic dress (it was black satin with a removeable cape) and the red dress from last night. I don't get the Wendy like

Well, clearly Wendy is but to answer your question, IMO, both. Jay said she was an older woman trying to design what she thinks someone younger would wear and he's totally right...she did just that. That brown frock Melissa was wearing was hiiideous. Please tell me you wouldn't wear that or we're going to have to have some intervention, sweetie
