She sounds like something special alright. It's a shame they don't have laws against being a total asshole. She'd be jailed be now.
If she were in Texas, the switch would have already been flipped.
Seriously, go to her web pages...if you dare.

Wow - where do you guys run into these people?People like this have always existed in the fan world. The longer the time one has spent in the fan world, the more people like this one has seen in action.
The only way to avoid the rotten ones is to avoid the good ones, too, & I've never chosen to do that. There are too many cool, funny, generous fans around to avoid the whole world, as far as I'm concerned.

I've been around for a while but I'm oblivious I guess...well actually I pretty much just stay around here - and once in a while I pop onto Nancy's board...that's pretty much it

figured as much, I also have another trade offer from a person whose first name is Ginny (Last initial is M.) that I sometimes wonder if she could be the same "Ginny" that fans know to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic...You have nothing to fear, Brian (other than the fact that someone might have given herself a screen name in honor of the Real Deal).
The actual Ginny not only would never engage in trading but would actively pursue a prison sentence for any fan caught doing so.

Blame Stevie for Ginny, she's the one who employed her for so many years and forced that beast upon us. Ginny is 51 cards short of a full deck.

I guess cause of my music trade website, But I am wary of the FM/SN trade offers moreso than anything else I have listed...Dont know why, But I like to check around a bit and see if the offer is coming from a regular poster on a FM website I frequent, If I see they're a regular poster then I have no worry about tradin' with 'em cause if a poster was to receive something from me in a trade then offer it on eBay you can pretty much guarantee I will front 'em on the website I see 'em posting at for the whole damn world to see (Trust me, There's one such person who at one time owned a Stevie Nicks website that I traded with...And she is selling **** on eBay for profit, I 100% verified it to be the person I traded with her because I have her link/email addy still active on my ol' "Good traders list" that I removed 'visibly' from my trade pages.)

That would be she.
Here's her game: She's grabs what is freely circulated on the Internet among fans -- photographs, audio, video -- & sells it to the highest bidder, & then publicly congratulates herself for being a loving, caring, extra-special & extra-talented lady, all the while backstabbing, chasing off & running down other fans. This has been going on for about six years now.
"Take us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes." – Song of Solomon ii. 15.
I remember about 10 years ago I was on a mailing list and she was also a member. The people on that list used to literally worship the ground that she walked on! I sometimes wonder if she herself was posing as some other people on that list. It really got to be sickening so I left for a while. When I went to check on it a few months later all hell broke loose. I don't know if she was banned or if she left but she left many people with a bitter taste. I really don't know what happened, however.

These wackjobs are funny, but at the same time, it's not. :( I say not, because they cause the real fans to go through hell just to meet with members of the band. Woah, hold up there. I see you dislike the BN board, and that's your right, but your comments here are very unfair.
The percentile of Kristen-bashing posts is very low. The little incident with Stevie being the biological mother was a long time ago and it was by one person. I love how some people keep bringing it up as the prime example of what gets posted on the BN board. Should we bring up "Crazy Kim's" post that you linked to as the kind of thing that gets posted on the Ledge? It's just as accurate.
"Perhaps Matthew visited the Ledge and loved the discussion about how a fan got Kristen's cell phone and called it up. That's one of the best stories I've ever heard about Ledgie fan behavior. I could go on but you get the idea."
Did Ledgies approve of her behavior? No, and they let her know. Is this a regular topic? No.
Did BN members approve of the Stevie baby topic? No, and they let her know. Is that a regular topic? No.
See what I mean?
After this, it's hardly surprising that your later comment that perhaps Matthew likes "other great things about the BN board" rings pretty hollow.
You're right. I haven't seen much BN board bashing here at all...until I read your post. Congrats on being the trendsetter! :blob2:
I seem to remember that the discourse got so bad when it came to the relationship theorizing and Kristin bashing that Nancy had to literally get on a computer at the library while on vacation in order to put a stop to it.

Yeah, but what is Babs' excuse? ;)
Woah, hold up there. I see you dislike the BN board, and that's your right, but your comments here are very unfair.
I think you should hold on there.
First, I never said I didn't like the BN board.
Kelly made sweeping generalizations about the negative comments made here on the Ledge (by a relatively small group of people) about Stevie. Since she chose to ONLY use the worst and the most extreme of the comments about the Ledge, I brought up some of the same type of unfair things that have been said on BN about the Stevie, Lindsey and Kristen on the BN board. I countered her worst remarks with the same type of things one COULD say about the BN forum IF they were making the sweeping generalizations she was.
I wasn't making the generalizations about BN because I believed them! I thought everyone understood that because I had made it so clear.
To refresh your memory......
Perhaps he visited the Ledge, scanned the numerous threads regarding Stevie's Mac truck ass, her ugly shoes, bland hair, matronly clothes, pancake makeup, lack of energy, her terrible lyrics on SYW, her miserable attempts at singing Rhiannon this tour and decided he would RATHER post at the BN board?
Perhaps Mathew visited the BN message board and loved the way Stevie is portrayed in this deep affair with a married man and how they can't keep their hands off each other or their feelings under control, even in the presence of his wife and children. Maybe he's drawn to the bashing of Mrs.Buckingham's appearance and the threads portraying her as nothing but a baby machine who traps her husband again and again. Of course, I'm leaving out the riveting threads where the paternity of the Buckingham children was discussed and how they might not be Lindsey's. Of course there was also some discussion about Stevie being their biological mother, that was riveting reading and one of the best theories I've ever read about their post Dance relationship. I could go on but you get the idea.
I was trying to show here that there seems to be a double standard. I thought that was obvious and I made sure it was by the last comments in my post above.
I haven't been to the new board but I even if it's improved, that doesn't negate what's been said only a few months ago on the old board. As for you and Kelly only using the surrogate mother as the prime example, there are many of us who could go to the old BN board and use many many more examples of degrading comments that have been made about Lindsey's wife and the state of their marriage and thread after thread about topics that have no basis in any truth and are beyond insulting.
As for the link to Kim's posts. I didn't make a sweeping generalization that all young fans were like Kim or her friends. That was a specific discussion about a specific incident that went on with that girl and her friends.
"Perhaps Matthew visited the Ledge and loved the discussion about how a fan got Kristen's cell phone and called it up. That's one of the best stories I've ever heard about Ledgie fan behavior. I could go on but you get the idea"
Did Ledgies approve of her behavior? No, and they let her know. Is this a regular topic? No."
One more time, I didn't make sweeping generalizations about all young fans calling Stevie, Lindsey or their families and generalizing all young fans as irresponsible. Again, I believe Kelly was the one that blamed the incidents over at BN on young fans and young fans bothering Mathew.
Did BN members approve of the Stevie baby topic? No, and they let her know. Is that a regular topic? No.
See what I mean?
Do you see what I mean or must I go to the BN board and link threads where accepted members of the Ledge and BN site have not objected to many of the topics that go way beyond anything Stevie, Lindsey or his wife deserve? I used the most extreme analogies in my post I quoted above because I felt that's what Kelly was doing by trying to generalize the statements made by a few people about Stevie here at the Ledge. See what I mean?
After this, it's hardly surprising that your later comment that perhaps Matthew likes "other great things about the BN board" rings pretty hollow.
Again, you seemed to have missed the entire point of my post as a counterpoint about generalizations anyone could make about any fan site. My words were not hollow at all, you just missed the point I was trying to make.
Perhaps you missed this part.....
Perhaps Mathew didn't stick around the Ledge long enough and see all the good conversation in the thousands of threads here that aren't pointing out Stevie's problems Fans seem to find the boards they feel most comfortable reading or posting. If Mathew would RATHER stay over at BN because he feels more comfortable there or likes the shipper aspect and the other great things about the BN board, who cares?
You're right. I haven't seen much BN board bashing here at all...until I read your post. Congrats on being the trendsetter! :blob2:
I love being a trendsetter but in this case it's not deserved. I was not bashing the BN board and if you don't get that now from all the times I've explained it in this post, you never will.

And that's a relatively recent phenomenon, by the way -- it started building steam with the reunion.
When I speak scornfully of "chiffonheads," those are the people I'm referring to -- not just anyone who happens to love Stevie.
You learn something new about FM all the time:) Seriously, I think the original meaning got lost since most people here used it as a term of endearment about their Stevie fan obsession.
Hmmm.......so now that we know the real meaning.........do we go on using it or come up with something else? Nothing else seems to say Stevie obsession quite like Chiffon Head ;)

First, I never said I didn't like the BN board.
Oh Dee...I know you don't care for it. You don't like what it stands for, you don't like the fact that we "accepted members" of the Fleetwood Mac community discuss this in an open forum. Yet, everyone would have a massive Texas-sized coronary if membership to the board were on a controlled basis.
Do you see what I mean or must I go to the BN board and link threads where accepted members of the Ledge and BN site have not objected to many of the topics that go way beyond anything Stevie, Lindsey or his wife deserve?
Can we all agree to disagree? You're not going to like where some of the topics go on the BN board just as I said earlier in the thread, I might not like the direction some threads go here on The Ledge. Does that mean I'm going to stop talking about things because some people tend to get out of hand? Probably not. Whether it's on that board or done privately, you'd still object to it and you've told me as much.
You know that I have personally objected to some of the topics as has Nancy, moderators, and other fans as well. However, if a newbie comes along, threads are ressurected and discussion is resumed. I don't know what else to say without starting some ridiculous discussion. The **** pot doesn't need to be stirred again and things have been running smoothly without discord over there. Let's not make the problems with the topics discussed on BN a problem on The Ledge, especially in a thread that has very little and perhaps nothing to do with the topic of the state of his marriage and his family.

There is some confusion, too, about what it means to be a chiffonhead. A chiffonhead isn't synonymous with a Stevie lover. "Chiffonhead" is a sarcastic derivative of "Machead," & it was originally used to denote a type of Stevie fan who continually & inappropriately invoked the trappings of Stevie's image (the faeries, the unicorns, the stars, the fog, the magick, the pouty looks, the long white gowns, the New Age crystals) in their own lives & interactions with other fans. Chiffonheads were (are?) the people who talked to you -- with a straight face -- about the spirits speaking to them & who signed their letters & e-mail to you with "Much love" or "Magick unto ye" or "blessed be" or any number of silly phrases from Stevie's brand of Wicca & who addressed one another as "Angel" & who liberally peppered their conversation (such as it is) with lines from Stevie Nicks songs & interviews & who often turned into werewolves at the slightest artistic or musical criticism of Stevie herself. Such people did exist, regardless of whether you choose to believe it, & it was my experience that they existed in large numbers, & I don't need anybody telling me that I exaggerate it or concoct it or see it in a bad dream. Some of those people were extremely nasty (there's one in Kentucky who has alienated virtually the entire fan world for numerous reasons, & another one actually prevented a song from being included on a Stevie Nicks album after he stole it).
When I speak scornfully of "chiffonheads," those are the people I'm referring to -- not just anyone who happens to love Stevie.Thank you, David. This is the first time I've ever read a detailed explanation for the contempt many older Mac fans seem to have for Stevie's particular faction of fans. A contempt that I had always been left to assume encompassed the whole of her fan community.
I caught on pretty early in my online interactions that "Chiffonhead" was not a term of endearment... but without knowing the full story, the sarcasm behind it always seemed unjustifiably malicious to me.
I've certainly seen hints towards the reasons, but I've never known the full explanation.
I'd still venture to say that some of the rancor directed at Stevie's fans is heavy-handed at times... I see what seems to be a lot (but, admittedly, much of it could be a matter of my own perception) of "guilt by association."
We're not all greedy and opportunistic, or vapid head-cases who need to be talked to like a slow-learning child. Not to mention how often Stevie's fans are treated like mindless lemmings who are oblivious to Stevie's faults (which several people are then so kind enough to point out as often as possible), while fans of other members in the band often exhibit equally passionate views of their faves with little-to-none of the same derisive treatment. Certainly those fans definitely exist, but Stevie doesn't have a monopoly on them... so I never understood the double-standard.
I should say, David, that you're one of the people who've always seemed most inclined to treat people as individuals, rather than as a collective stereotype... which is yet another thing I've always respected about you.
Anyway, I'm glad that I now know exactly WHY many of Stevie's fans are viewed with a jaded eye, and, in the case of those who've burned a lot of bridges with inexcusable behaviour, I can see how it's completely justified.
It makes perfect sense now, in context.

People like this have always existed in the fan world. The longer the time one has spent in the fan world, the more people like this one has seen in action.
The only way to avoid the rotten ones is to avoid the good ones, too, & I've never chosen to do that. There are too many cool, funny, generous fans around to avoid the whole world, as far as I'm concerned. It's funny, but I've been a part of the online fan community since 1996/97, but apparently I've been far more insulated in my experiences... somehow... than I ever would have thought.
I was burned once early on by someone I trusted and shared a little too much personal info with, but after that turned around and bit me in the butt, I've been careful to get to know people really well before taking them into my confidence, or having any kind of dealings with them.
So I guess aside from that one bad experience, it seems that I've been EXTREMELY lucky in regards to the people in the fan community that I've developed relationships and friendships with.
Oh Dee...I know you don't care for it. You don't like what it stands for, you don't like the fact that we "accepted members" of the Fleetwood Mac community discuss this in an open forum. Yet, everyone would have a massive Texas-sized coronary if membership to the board were on a controlled basis
Dee? I don't like the bashing that goes on and I don't think I'm alone in that. There have been many people who have stated the same thing time and time again, both here on the Ledge and over on the BN board. No one would give a crap if Nancy took the board private. If you wanted to belong you would join. I don't think anyone would have any type of coronary if those theories, speculation and downright bashing were to be made private. The fans who do have a problem with them object because they are public.
I don't have a problem agreeing to disagree. But it seems that Kelly is the only one who is constantly bringing it up here at the Ledge and complaining about what's said about Stevie, what you can say on which board, what you can say when speculating about Stevie's songs that might be about Lindsey, etc. I could dig out a few recent ones but you'd have to be blind to not see them.. People always ignore her because it's obvious what she's trying to do or infer. This time a few people didn't like her generalizing the entire Ledge board. What started all this in this thread was her comments and sensitivity and her insinuating that people were generalizing the BN board as rabid chiffon heads. No one was going to start complaining about BN here and the comments made were only to say that the same could be made about the BN board, or any board for that matter. Normally when I read her comments I just ignroe them, but she made a few the other day about the blue board and some other things and this time I was just tired of her generalizations and double standard. I haven't told you anything and no one can object to something they don't see.
Please let's stop blaming what has been done on the BN board on newbies and some young misguided fans. I've seen you object to a few over the top fans who goad other fans over at the BN board. But for the most part, you have rarely jumped in to a lot of the over the top comments and threads. To be honest, your post on the BN site about Stevie, Lindsey and Kristen's relationship after the house was put up for sale was as out there as many of the others. As I stated in another post earlier today, it depends on your definition of over the top. You think it's fine because it's speculation and you don't seem to do it with the same amount of cattiness as others on that board, but you've hardly commented on over the top nasty comments and threads over the last few years made by many members. There are many reasons why you might not comment, but one could be because you don't see them as over the top or out of line. Or maybe you don't want to ridicule people who you hang with or your friends. . It's not important, but please lets stop blaming what most of us were talking about on the young newbies, that's just not true. I used the most extreme examples, but there are plenty that fall just shy of those but I didn't bring them up because the point I was making was about extremes.
If this **** pot doesn't need to be stirred again, maybe you should be talking to Kelly and tell her to stop lighting the fire under these pots here on the Ledge and throw away her big spoon. Kelly took us down this road, it had died down until highwaywoman didn't want to, or just plain didn't understand the point I was trying to make. I know why I posted what I did and who could give a **** where Mathew posts? If Kelly wants to keep playing such a sensitive soul about what said about Stevie, maybe she'll jump in like you do on BN the next time someone posts something way out of line or humiliating to the people involved.
If you want to PM me about this you can, but I'm not going to keep defending what I said in my original post in this thread because I think most people understood it. It's boring and this place has never been about bashing the BN site and airing their dirty laundry here.

Dee. AKA Deezy. Yes, It doesn't take a rock scientist to figure that one out. Why? You're the only person who loves to see someone make a statement in our fandom so you can go through your archives and back it up with the plethora of files more than likely saved on your hard drive and let them know they've said that, are contridicting themselves, etc.
And no, when you see a comment that you don't agree with whether it be here or elsewhere, you don't ignore it. You aren't now and you haven't for the past year. You said you couldn't wait until this tour was over so you could stop having to patrol. Tours over. Guess what...most people other than a handful of us could care less whether or not Lindsey and Stevie are a couple whether it be on this board or somewhere else.
As for my lack of responsiveness to certain threads. Perhaps i've rarely jumped in a lot because I either find them that over the top, I simply don't care OR I have a life and choose not to piss it away 24/7 on making it my lifes mission to patrol a board that isn't my own. As far as my "OUT THERE" statements regarding the sale of his house go, If anything, my posts have always been thought out and handled in a matter that wasn't terribly offensive (or have you got a boatload of posts from the past year that say otherwise?) and were never "OUT THERE." Why even bring that up? You're backpeddling.
Oh, and PS - I have talked to Kelly but she can say and do what she wants just as everyone else can...and no one can change that...not even someone patrolling the boards unless it's the moderators. I don't mean to be rude but i've had quite enough. Feel free to e-mail me...it's not like you don't know the address.

This never ends. I am not Dee or Deezy. I don't have anything saved to my hardrive. The only posts I have ever saved or collected was when Jonathan Todd screwed Fleetwood Mac fans. When they were literally washing that board clean of what had been done I went back and saved whatever I could to show to the band members and management. So your suggestion that I have any post from BN or Kelly's here at the Ledge is wrong. There's a great search engine here and that's what I meant by referencing her posts.
I only suggested you talk to Kelly since she's the one who started this and since it seemed you were trying to put an end to BN's dirty laundry being posted here, I thought I'd make the suggestion. Like I said, most people, myself included, ignore her because they don't give a ****, so if she wants to keep lighting fires and stirring the pot here on the Ledge, have fun!
I don't need to partrol any boards and since you use your time for such noble purposes as curing cancer, you can re-read your speculative post about Lindsey's relationship with his wife and Stevie that you posted in that house selling thread and remember how you've been spending your time analyzing the tiniest details about their relationship (or lack of) based on concert reviews and fan gossip.
These are usually the types of threads I get bored and annoyed with when a few people argue about something and don't know when to end it. If you want to PM me you can but it would be nice to spare everyone else this deadbeat topic.

If anyone saw the Grammy Awards last week, during U2's acceptance speech.... Larry? took time to apologize to the fans who were screwed during their most recent presale. The band is giving membership refunds (no questions asked) and the band is seriously working on something else to make it up to the fans who were screwed. Sounds just like the way the band members of FM and their management handled things with their fanclub:(

Wow, that's cool that you BIL got that wine for you guys! This site really is the best and of course Mick should do his QA here. I would LOVE for Lindsey to do one, but wouldn't we all? Thanks for everything you do for the fans!
I'm trying. I've invited several people to do them, but no response yet...
I forgot about how Mick announced that Q&A right after we announced John's, that was sort of funny! Someone over there was checking things out over here. :)
I think we'll get some more from John eventually. Maybe it's more fun for him in small doses. He knows all those questions are sitting here waiting....and I think he did get a kick out of doing it.
Actually on this note of Mick knowing about our site, there's something I keep forgetting to mention: My brother in law worked for a hotel in NY, the hotel where Mick and partner etc stayed when they were in the city promoting Mick's wine (the Hyatt, was it? My BIL is somewhere else now.) My BIL- David Adelson-had a chance to speak w/ a guy in Mick's entourage, and told him "My brother and his wife run a big FM site--Marty Adelson, he runs The Penguin."
The guy perked right up. "The Penguin?! We love that website! We were just talking the other day about fan sites and that one was in the top three!" (I suppose this means 2 are better than us but I can handle that LOL, I know we don't update or market stuff as much as we could...and there are some other great sites out there.) So anyway the guy actually returned to my BIL later w/ a bottle of wine that Mick had signed-- "To Marty, love Mick Fleetwood." I should take a picture of it and show you guys, it's in a nice case in our kitchen above the computer, w/ some other FM stuff.
My BIL did meet Mick briefly, said he was a BIG guy, very imposing, strong handshake. So anyway I'd like to think that Mick know who we are...?

I had someone named "Barbara" ask me to trade some of my Fleetwood Mac/Stevie music collection to 'em in exchange for pictures...But I noticed a person with a similar website name was hocking **** on eBay so I deleted her email offer...I wonder if it is the same person???
Yeah, she's a real piece of work. She sent me a postcard with Stevie's image on it out of the blue to my work address. This was way back in the day when I was naive and actually signed up to an email list with my work address. Things got weirder when she sent me a copy of a Stevie family photo where she is wearing no makeup and it obviously wasn't meant for fans. I'm glad I didn't trust her though cuz she really screwed a lot of people which I managed to avoid. I cannot believe she is still out there. :shudder:

It's funny, but I've been a part of the online fan community since 1996/97, but apparently I've been far more insulated in my experiences... somehow... than I ever would have thought.
I was burned once early on by someone I trusted and shared a little too much personal info with, but after that turned around and bit me in the butt, I've been careful to get to know people really well before taking them into my confidence, or having any kind of dealings with them.
So I guess aside from that one bad experience, it seems that I've been EXTREMELY lucky in regards to the people in the fan community that I've developed relationships and friendships with.
I had someone hack into my AIM buddy list and then send me a message "Your name is on my buddy list, how did it get there?" Their name also showed up on my buddy list so I thought it might actually just be a fluke but later realized, with some additional information about this person, that I'd been hacked. That was weird and creepy but nothing bad came of it.

The malice and ill feelings directed toward “chiffonheads” has confused me for some time, and I thank David for clearing up just exactly what a “chiffonhead” is. As evidenced by my username, Stevie Nicks is probably my favorite member of Fleetwood Mac when all is said and done. I never thought of myself as a “chiffonhead” because Stevie’s gypsy style doesn’t really matter all that much to me (though it is unique and interesting). It is her voice, her songwriting, and willingness to put forth her deepest darkest emotions and vulnerabilities on record that I love. It’s about the music, not the image, in my mind. I was tired of people making condescending blanket statements that all Stevie Nicks fans that posted here were somehow less than intelligent and narrow-minded in their all-consuming love of everything Stevie. Now, I better understand why people are cynical when it comes to such fans. I only ask that we all respect posters here, regardless of their affiliations, so long as they are not doing harm. It would be nice to treat posters here like individuals with human feelings, too. I’m probably just making a big deal over nothing going on at a message board though. :)
Lastly, The Ledge is just a place I enjoy the heck out of, and I hope to stay here for a while longer...I’ll be looking forward to more good debates, discussions, and laughs, everyone.

I do! Hi, honey, welcome back. :wavey:
I got to know Jan very well during the fan club fight with Todd. If everyone knew how much this woman did to get the band's attention and get him out, you'd think the same as me. No wonder she got sick so soon after! If I were one of those people who believed in crystal visions, I'd say JT put an evil spell on her. Instead, I think she became so stressed out and overworked at her job and also with the fan club efforts her overall health suffered. I'm glad you're well now. Happy one year anniversary being cancer free. :xoxo:
Thank you for all your efforts to let the band know what was being done to the fans. I know the fans who worked on this are against being singled out, but I want people to know how one person did more than her share and got nothing in return except a nasty battle with cancer. Since we're friends you can kill me for saying this, but everyone needs to know how much effort fans put in to helping fellow fans. I was wrong about all the band members knowing about the early fan club controversy. You were right about them being in the dark. I don't mind saying it. Mick knows now and doesn't seem to care, but thanks to the others caring about us, JT is not as involved with the band as he once was. He was ousted from the fan club. The other deals he has with Mick are his own. He's still in the mix with Mick, but he definitely does not speak for the rest of the band. The others can't pick Mick's friends but they can stand up for the fans. They did so when it came to getting rid of JT from the fan club. Thank you, Jan, and everybody else who wrote, called, faxed, wore "fire Todd" t-shirts, etc.

I have been skimming through this thread with feelings of interest and confusion...
My name is Justin, and I have been posting pretty regularly here at The Ledge since September of 2004. I’ve been a Fleetwood Mac fan for three years (four this summer). Although I discovered their music at the age of thirteen and am currently only sixteen years old, I feel an intense connection with their music. All thirty-eight years worth of it. The songs of Fleetwood Mac play a big part in my day-to-day life; I feel as if I was meant to find this band. I came to The Ledge after my family was most certainly very sick of hearing about everything Fleetwood Mac-related.
Being able to discuss the music and the history of Fleetwood Mac and its members with other fans has been a very enjoyable experience...though I was wary of doing so. I was very cautious in the beginning, promising myself to only post about things regarding the music, no “Chit Chat.” I feared being hurt somehow by members of this online community, my naïveté taken advantage of. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the majority of Ledgies are kind, down to earth people. Eventually, I opened up quite a bit with my posts, became bolder and more outspoken. Of course I posted some things that I now regret. So is life. There are good and bad things that happen at The Ledge, just as is everywhere else.
The most rewarding part of The Ledge for me has been the friendships I have forged with several Ledgies: people I now really care about, think about often, and have satisfying (online) relationships with. The camaraderie makes it all worthwhile, the feeling that there are indeed other people who you can share your love for Fleetwood Mac with, and maybe share some things about your life with, too. People you can learn from. People whom, at least when it comes to a single message board, you belong with.
The malice and ill feelings directed toward “chiffonheads” has confused me for some time, and I thank David for clearing up just exactly what a “chiffonhead” is. As evidenced by my username, Stevie Nicks is probably my favorite member of Fleetwood Mac when all is said and done. I am well. Cancer has not come back and now, more than ever, I just cherish my time. No way any place or person is going to rob me of that.
Kisses!!! Jan :xoxo:
Jan!!!
I'm so glad you stopped in to say hi! I was just asking about you the other day and I'm so happy you're doing so well......you are a warrior:)
It all seems so long ago, a blur........lots of bad memories but time has faded many of those and its good that we can remember the fun we managed to have during all that insanity.
Email me - same address. If you dont' have it PM me here at the Ledge, I'd love to catch up with you.
Why ruin a show with a Toad sighting, ya know?
my thoughts exactly... he ruined enough for so many of the FM fans, no need to see him and get sick at a FM show :distress:
Hope your family is well and don't be a stranger:)

Yeah, "Shipper" is short for "Relationship." It goes beyond the FM fandom, though - I know that it's used in the Buffy fandom (they also combine names, so you end up with things like Xanya (Xander/Anya) and Bangel (Buffy/Angel)), and most likely most other fandoms.
In the online soap opera world they combine names - Carjack, etc and some of the names they come up with are very creative. The shows themselves use them in publicity and interviews when talking about couples. I've never seen the shipper term used anywhere but in the FM circles.
Ahhhh, so that was what that was all about. Larry Mullin rocks.
I believe I read that in addition to refunding memberships, the club would take back tickets from fans who are unhappy. Seems like Larry and the other members were very upset by what happened and determined to fix things now and on the next leg in the US.

Gotta love the suppa fan. Just wanted to drop in and say hi to you all. I still hate Jonathan Todd. I just wish that I could have seen him at a show.
HELLO DARLIN' :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:
I was a little worried about you and am glad to hear things are going well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :xoxo:
