Bush has won IN, KY, GA so far. Kerry has Vermont.
But this is not surprising, those are solid red states. :) Vermont is a solid blue state, too.
Kerry will win Virginia and South Carolina, mark my words. :xoxo:

Naturally, we don't want to jump any guns here. Oh sure we do, we'll jump just about anything by this point. More squawking:
A certain high ranking former republican senator called Karl Rove around 5:15 this evening. Bush's brain sounded "dejected" and gave less than a 30% chance for a Bush win.

Drunk much?
How are those "drinking words" going for ya?
I decided to start the REAL drinking when The Daily Show comes on. It's not like there will be a shortage of buzzwords to drink to starting at 10pm CDT. Besides, you guys really conviced me last night that I should hold off.
Besides, I have to wait until my cockatoo goes to sleep, and he's sitting on my shoulder right now. He LOVES LOVES LOVES beer, and any time I grab the can to take a drink, he holds onto my shoulder with one foot, grabs the neckline of my shirt with the other, and clamps (and I do mean CLAMPS) his beak down into the chug-hole of the can. And believe me, if you've never been around a fiending cockatoo, it's not that easy to take something away from him once he's decided that he wants it.
(And no, I don't let him drink too much, he just likes to run his tongue along the rim to dab up all the leftover drops and get a little taste. And if you think that's bad, you should see how he acts when I'm drinking a Mountain Dew! Damn pushy bird!!!)

Peter Jennings just explained that -- 4 electoral votes total -- 2 go to the pop vote winner of the state. The state is apparently split into 2 "regions" (or maybe they're called "districts"), and whichever candidate wins the region, he gets one of the remaining electoral votes. He said there was a possibility of Kerry getting all 4...
