I look back now and can see that people may have had a problem with the question and the way it was worded. I had full intention of "Tusk" not counting, because of how I said "as Tusk"... Well, this is a game that does not really indicate which is the BEST song on the record. The game is played so that it is a pseudo crap shoot to determine the winner :shrug:

If the "Chiffon Heads" are so strong and mighty in numbers, and so determined to see Stevie win, by that logic, wouldn't "Seven Wonders" have won? :shrug:

Hey everyone. Well Nancy has been out of town for the week and I've been able to hold up alright, but as of right now I've been up for 23 hours. Had to go into work, come back, completely move all the furniture into my bedroom and then get to work painting my new apartment. Needless to say I am completely beat (and partially 'lemon sorbet', the color of my wall) and I need to get enough sleep before heading back into work tonight. 9pm is smack dab in the middle of when I plan to do this. So unfortunately, unless Nancy shows up to take over, Round 16 will end tomorrow night at 9pm instead of tonight (coincidentally right as the REAL Survivor is ending!).

Working from midnight to 9am is nasty business sometimes, I tells ya. Anyways, have fun and I will see you tomorrow.

Well this Survivor has been a VERY fun game, but the way things go in Survivor can never be accurate. And I don't think the poitn of doing a Survivor is to be accurate. But after this is over, I want to do something accurate. We'll all list our favorite Tusk songs from 1-20. They'll be no votiong out a song you love to save one you love more, no immunity. Whatever is YOUR least favorite will be #20 and whatever is your favorite will be #1. Maybe I'll go the thread, "Your Personal Survivor" It'll be how in your own perfect world Survivor would've went exactly. And I think I'll put a 2-3 week limit, then add everyone's scores up, a song at #1 will get 20 points a song at #20 would get 1 point and etc. And we'll have a top 20 Tusk songs, done very acurately. So it won't be Survivor, since everyone is saying a certain is here and doesn't deserve to be or this song was voted off and shouldn't have been.

Hey everyone. Well Nancy has been out of town for the week and I've been able to hold up alright, but as of right now I've been up for 23 hours. Had to go into work, come back, completely move all the furniture into my bedroom and then get to work painting my new apartment. "Beautiful Child" didn't get into the top5 of the FM Legboard 2003 poll (which included all FM songs) for nothing. The popularity of that and "I Know I'm Not Wrong" has obviously increased among the fans because of both having been included in the setlist for the SYW tour. I was tremendously moved by "BC" in Oberhausen anyway. It was difficult for me to pick between the vulnerability of "BC" and the life-affirming qualities of "IKINW". "Storms would have been far easier for me to try to vote off. But "strategery is strategery". ;)

I was just getting a vibe that people were disappointed in that they thought it unfair if LB, who masterminded the concept of essentially all of Tusk :shrug: - did not have more songs in the top five and that not having more songs in the top five was a reflection of the quality of these songs - essentially ditto for the great and talented CM. I was just pointing out that this game is not a reflection of quality or popularity. It is a game of skill and apparently ALL (LB fans, Chiffonheads, etc.) players have used that fact to their advantage - yet people skewer the chiffonheads (again and interestingly no one has yet identified these so called people despite being called out to do so :shrug: ) for playing the game when they do the SAME EXACT THING :shrug: Again, all have tried for immunity, I have gotten PM's from many in this and the other game, and people are building clandestine coalitions. So, I was just noting all of that and indicating that this is a game, etc., which you say you knew :cool:

As for being sick of Sara - sure there are bound to be some. But, the sword cuts both ways and did anyone ever consider that people, like myself, think The Ledge is garbage and not worthy of being of Tusk much less any other record - yet at the same time others think it is the paradigm of LB's talent, which I think SMAP is :shrug: So, once again, it all comes down to individual taste and all of this (figuratively) "he is a Stevie fan and can never like LB song and will do anything to make sure LB cannot win this" is just a load of crap IMO. But, those that wish to perpetutate that false and purposefully inflammatory mindset will do so and who am I to keep them down.

What I do object to is the underlying feeling of some that if Stevie wins it will be a travesty because she has no talent, is a flake, owes everything to LB, her rabid fans love only her and no other FM member, blah blah blah. While no one has said exactly that - it certainly has been implied (at least to me) and I think that that mindset is complete crap IMO - but and again, others clearly perpetuate it to be inflammatory and then cave in when called out on it. Such is the never ending state of the saga on this and other boards :laugh: AND - at least it makes for fun reading and if for nothing else to show the level of stupidity that some (on all sides and certainly in the past including me) will sink to in an effort to glorify and insult people they will never meet or know a la FM :laugh:

Yes Jason. I don't think "Sara" went out too soon solely because of the Lindsey mafia though, the same gang failed in getting enough votes for other Stevie songs as you probably witnessed yourself if you read the previous rounds of votes.
But I do think that people love these three remaining songs a lot. They're not just here because they were deemed the most likely to stay in the game this long; they're songs we all obviously enjoy. Stuff that the fan community can agree upon. Ok, Cristian may hate "IKINW" to death and Marc may do the same to "Beautiful Child" but there's nowhere on this planet a song that someone doesn't dislike from the bottom of one's heart. We are all allowed our personal quirks, after all. ;)
