WHICH SONG IS IMMUNE THIS ROUND???????????
No song is immune. Hawkeye fudged up, thereby losing their immunity choice. :wavey:

As much as I respect Jacob's role as Jeff Probst, he cannot change votes. BC and TEFM were tied with 13 votes apiece. To break the tie, all votes from previous rounds were tallied and TEFM had more. Therefore TEFM was booted, leaving BC in the game. Hawkeye then gave his immunity to BC. If someone has a different take on this with a vote count, I'd be happy to abide. :wavey:
Keep telling yourself that BC is still in the game, you might begin to believe it. :xoxo: :wavey:

Jacob, don't give up! I want to see who wins! But yes the way you are running it - by having people tell you whether or not BC should stay after it's been voted off - is pretty bogus. If you want, we can do that round over.
Or, we can start a new one, with clearly stated rules! A new Tusk one, please. We can't leave it unfinished. If you want I could start a new one for you.

Let's try to come up with a compromise which could suit both warring factions :)
Let's have a "Beautiful Child" vs "That's Enough For Me" round to decide which song gets to stay in the game and resume once the results are tallied and the offender has been eliminated. How does that sound?
Another suggestion would be to completely forget about immunity. So far it has only created mass confusion and disputes. Let the songs stand on their own strength without any crutches :)

Jacob, I really think we should finish this game. How about dropping Immunity for the rest of the game, because, as far as I can tell, has been the MAJOR reason for the confusion here(even though I won two of them! :sorry: ) The only other suggestion I would have would be for you to make a QUICK call when there's a tie. It's hard to vote when we don't know what's still in the pool.
Thanks for your work. Let's finish this sucker, and then bury it!

Oh, did I miss something? I've encouraged someone to come up with a vote count for that round, but no one seems to want to do that. I thought it was 13 to 13. NO? If not, please enlighten me. I'd be content with BC being voted off, if it did indeed get more votes than TEFM.

BULL****! No way is that going to happen. You made a ruling. BC is out. And frankly, I'm not sure I like your coming here late and telling us, "Oh by the way, it's two days of voting on this round. Sorry I forgot to tell you."
Well, I say, sorry, but now you've really screwed up. This is nonsense, and I'm sure deep down you know that.
Let's cut the crap, and start voting at 9 p.m. tonight. This retroactive crap you're trying to pull is unworthy of you and the game. If you are having second thoughts about the ruling you made on BC, I can understand, but you cannot change rules constantly and put songs back in that were already voted out.
Hey, buddy, this isn't Florida. Jacob made a ruling to drop BC two days ago. End of story.

O i was thinking "Rumours Live" for the next one. Dont worry im not giving up on the Song Survivor series yet.
Dude, you can't be serious about giving up on this, closing this one and then starting something else. You will not have any credibility. There will be too many recriminations and resentment.
Let's cut the crap, and pick up where we left off. Far as I can tell, based on your ruling, BC is out. Also, Over and Over is out because that was the vote as of 9 p.m. yesterday. You were too late in telling us the round would last two days, so any votes cast today should be thrown out. It's the only fair way to handle this.
At 9 p.m. today, the game should resume. By that I mean, it should go forward, not backward with retroactive decisions.
What I'm beginning to suspect here is that some people, and I'm afraid you included, Jacob, are beginning to realize that Stevie's songs don't have a chance of going all the way in this game. And these folks just can't stand it! This board has always been extremely biased in favor of Stevie, and if this game is cancelled or her songs are brought back in unfairly after getting thrown out, it will be undeniable proof of the bias. Tusk is Lindsey's album, and if he wins, that is as it should be. If one of his songs doesn't win, that better be as a result of a fair game, not the hanky panky you're trying to pull.
Jacob, I just defended you vehemently last night for handling this whole game fairly, and I know it hasn't been easy, so please don't prove me wrong now.

I was one of the people who actually bothered to tally the votes to find out he had made a mistake. Did you? Have you done anything besides hurl crap since and try to confuse everybody so you can get your way? I know that's par for the course for such a huge George W. Bush fan, ;) but here we should stick to the rules at hand.
Let's cut the crap and resume the game tonight. No more redos. No BC v. TEFM rounds. No bringing back BC.
If Jacob wants to drop immunity going forward, fine. But let's not completely screw up the game after we've come this far.

I suggest that the winner of the immunity challenge must, in the SAME POST as his answer, declare his choice for immunity. Hawkeye's wait (and Homer's change in an earlier round) are unacceptable.

I'm afraid I disagree with that too. Over and Over was roundly defeated. It had not an ice-pop's chance in Hades of making it. Why stall the game again? We're already losing today as a voting day

yes I thought about that when i typed it. But then again, that winner can edit it it later and then the **** hits the fan again. Jacob just has to confirm or, if he can't, pass the stick and let someone else do the job. This one is too much fun to abort. Not because of conspiracy of one group but because its great to see how songs are getting to conquer eachother because people arer going to stick together sometimes and it's just very exciting to see when things are going to fall apart. I'm curious if storms and IKINW are going to be fighters f.i. I'll even have to split my own heart to choose between those two.

Jacob (or whoever takes over) would confirm immediately, taking care of the editing problem.
I do find it acceptable to go back to the BC/TEFM round because the tie-breaker rules were so vague. Jacob must CLEARLY STATE THEM BEFORE THE ROUND BEGINS.

Tonight we will not have a Tribal Counsel, We are going to have a "tie breaker" beween Thats Enough For Me and Beautiful Child. This is should be fair. I will finish this come hell or high water.
OK Let me state the rules new and old..
1. Voting will close at 10 PM east (9cnt) Any votes after that will not be accepted.
2. You will be able to change your vote ONLY IF YOU STATE IN YOUR POST THE SONG YOU PREVIOUSLY VOTED FOR
3. Immunity will no longer be a part of Tusk SS
4. Unless stated other wise Tribal Counsel will happen at 10 PM (give or take 10 min)
5. If you are going to start a conversation PLEASE PUT IN YOU "TITLE" SECTION "No VOTE HERE" Or something to that matter.
6. Please and I cannot stress this enough. Be kind to others. Don't hold a vote against someone. (remember this is a game) O cussing is allowed because adding some colorful language can always be fun
7. Vote for the song YOU want to be voted off, not what the masses are doing
8. If and when tribal counsel comes back YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOU IMMUNITY VOTE
9. If you are going out of town and cannot vote, Please contact me and I can work something out with you so you are still a part of the game (I.E. Hawkeye)
10. I said it before, THIAS IS JUST A GAME. Please it is here for you to have a good time.

I think after the massive confusion of the last two rounds, for the sake of clarity, it would be fair to have BC -TEFM challenge, and Over and Over back in the game. In any case, definite rules are really needed.

Maybe Jacob's not worried about how he'd look to others.
Otherwise he might have quit posting ages ago. ;)
As far as the point of Stevie's songs having "no chance to win this"... well, it IS balanced more in Lindsey's direction, no?
He has the most songs on the album, and with the carefully calculated voting that you and your buddies are using, Christine's songs are barely left and Stevie's are going out the door right behind them.
So I'm not sure what you're upset about.
Oh, and "Beautiful Child" DOES still belong in the game, because it received less previous votes than "That's Enough For Me," when ALL the votes from ALL the rounds are counted.
If it were the other way around, you'd be the most vocal in criticising Jacob's rulling. ;)

I sure as hell ain't voting on this Mickey Mouse runoff and I am going to advise people not to do so as well. You're invalidating two rounds with one stupid-ass decision. Man, stand up behind your decisions. You ruled Beautiful Child was out. Now you're coming in after it's bedtime in Europe with this pathetic runoff. You can't possibly be serious.
You know what? Take the game and do with it as you please. In fact, end the farce now. Just give the whole thing to Stevie. Bring back Sara and make it the winning song.

I agree. I'm not voting eithe and I am bowing out of this game as well. If Rumours77 wants to play a joke on all of us and pretend he is impartial and fair, then let the people who agree with him on in this whole charade enjoy themselves silly.
I have had a great time casting my votes and playing this game, but now this is not fun anymore. What we have is a couple of people acting like three year olds -- Hawkeye and JWD -- and Rumours77 apparently being unable or unwilling to stand up to them. Having this stupid runoff so late in the day, which prevents people in Europe from voting, is about the most stupid and unfair thing I've ever seen.
Rumours77, what are you afraid of really? Why would you go back two rounds and prolong this thing, especially when you are reversing yourself on the Beautiful Child decision? Now you're invalidating yesterday's round too, so Over and Over is back on.
I agree, bring back Sara since this game is so broken now that it would be a complete joke to keep playing it. I don't tend to get involved too often in fights on this board, and I won't start now, but I have to say this is pretty disgusting.
It's too bad, because we were having a lot of fun.

Well, first thank you very much for your kind welcome.
As for who I am, My name is Michael and I've been a fan since about the Street Angel era (a little after actually, it was when Stevie played live in Boston in '96). I have been on the Enchanted mailing list since 1997 and a member here for a little over a year although I have obviously just been lurking in that time until I saw my favorite stevie song (beautiful child) about to be voted off and I tried to vote (too late). Now I have an opportunity to vote again thanks to Jacob's decision.
So, I'm sorry I voted, but I hope my decision to start voting in the game doesn't drive you away simply because I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan that enjoys Stevie's tusk songs (If this were Tango it would be a different story, but the Tango Survivor wasn't nearly as close a competition involving my favorite songs). Again please don't let my vote drive you away. I think perhaps just a second group that favors Stevie's tusk songs has started voting strategically much like a similiar group voted strategically to keep Lindsey's song at the beginning of the game. If it will help I will not vote anymore. Sorry.

I agree. I'm not voting eithe and I am bowing out of this game as well.
Come on guys, quit the temper tantrums. It's not the end of the world. And your bailing is sabotaging the chance of my favorite song staying - so the "chiffon heads" are crying no tears over your decision to withdraw. More like high-fiving that they've driven the biggest Lindsey supporters away. I, however, am quite dismayed and disappointed! Perhaps you could reconsider?

Yo, bull****!!!!
What about the people in Europe? This is total ****, man. No way is this fair.
It's just as I thought. YOU ARE BIASED JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER CHIFFON HEADS WHO CAN'T STAND IT THAT LINDSEY WAS LOOKING MUCH BETTER IN THIS CAME THAN STEVIE.
This game is crap. Have it your way.
You silly chiffon heads can have it. Take the game and do with it as you please. In fact, end the farse now. Just give the whole thing to Stevie. Bring back Sara and make it the winning song.
What a crock. Jacob, Hawkeye was right about one thing. You are easily swayed. He was just wrong about who is swaying you.
Have fun.
OK GODDAMN IT!!!!!!
I said tonight! That gives the rest of the world to help fix this mistake! I am sorry if this game Has not been played to your likings and I don't need to be harassed about the decisions I make concerning this game. IT IS A GAME! I thought I made that clear!!!!
CarneVaca this is not just to you! This is to everyone who thinks it is your purgative to throw comments about how this game is played. I am going to ask once. If you don't like how it is played PLEASE LEAVE! This game is not fun for me, But I am not giving up!

Jacob, I'm sorry this has turned into such a nightmare for you. It seems to have devolved into the worst sort of Stevie vs. Lindsey stuff, which really is sad, as this is just a game.
I try to vote for songs in the order of my like/dislike, without regard to whether they are Stevie or Lindsey or Chris songs. To that end, in this run-off vote, I choose That's Enough For Me to go. Even though I am primarily a Lindsey fan, I like Beautiful Child better.
But I really, really, really wish Save Me A Place would go. :)

You don't owe me an apology. I owe you one. Sorry. I shouldn't have vented at you. And I am dropping out not because of you, but because I've lost faith in the person running the game, who obviously lacks the stuff to stick by his decisions.

Too late. I already made the decision to leave this game. This game is a crock. You are changing rules to manipulate the outcome. I wonder just exactly what is going on here, how much communication you had with the chiffon heads who obviously got you to reverse yourself yet again.
You have made mistake after mistake. You seem unable to even count, for crying out loud. You have no credibility left in this game. You should excuse yourself and hand it over to someone who has credibility, organization skill and impartiality, someone like Sodascouts.
This game is a farce, and its future outcome has already been tainted by what is either incompetence on your part or a basic lack of a sense of fairness and fortitude.

Yes, I said I'm leaving the game, but evidently two thirds of what happens in this thread has little to do with casting votes.
Don't tell me how to run a game!!! I have done Rumours, Bella Donna, adn TITN without any problems! So you have no right to accuse me of stupid **** like that?
Someone needs to tell you how to run the game, so it might as well be me. And I do have the right to point out that you have made some pretty stupid mistakes. A few posts back you had to correct yourself yet again. And frankly, even in correcting yourself you didn't make yourself clear. When exactly is the runoff round running until? You have yet to articulate that. People started voting once again before it was clear what was going on. So I'm not accusing you of anything. I am pointing out the reality. And, evidently, the truth hurts.
What this game needs is an impartial observer to set things straight, and since I'm no longer a player, I might as well play that role.
Please leave your comments to yourself!
I'm sure you'd like that. But no, not gonna happen. Consider me the commentator, like the sports announcers on TV.

I'm sure you'd like that. But no, not gonna happen. Consider me the commentator, like the sports announcers on TV.
Actually, I like that idea a lot. I'll keep a running commentary on the game. Tainted as it is, it will need someone to keep it honest. Here's my first report:
As of now, it seems the game has once again fallen into complete disarray. Jacob has now voided yet another round, this time to save Beautiful Child from the grips of oblivion. Sources tell me he caved to pressure from the Stevie fans who, having lost Sara early on, were out for blood when Beautiful Child lost fair and square, and decided to do everything they could in their power, even voting in absentia through the man running the game himself (!!) to reverse the fortunes of Stevie's songs and manipulate the outcome to their liking.
It is unclear at this point, since Jacob has failed to articulate it, whether the Over and Over round is invalidated too. It is complete mayhem, dear listeners. No one seems to know which way is north and right from left. Jacob's rulings have been so odd and inconsistent that a fair number of players have lost confidence in his ability to run the game and have started to drop out. And who can blame them? So it appears that the Stevie fans who pushed so hard to sway the game their way will prevail after all, but it will be a tainted victory, of that there is no doubt.
So, dear listeners, we await further word from Jacob on just what is going on. Is the Beautiful Child v. That's Enough For Me round still on or did it expire at 9 Eastern? If so, this poses very serious questions because the European players never had a chance to vote in the runoff. But if it is still on, when will it end? And does that mean the Over and Over round is voided too since the game has now regressed two rounds backward? And will there be a regular round concurrent with the runoff round?
Too many questions. Not enough answers, dear listeners. We remain baffled by this odd, and questionable, turn of events.

Sodascouts, it's not a tantrum. I just agree with CarneVaca that the person running the game, no offense, but he can't really be trusted anymore to run it fairly and properly. Sorry, it was a lot of fun up till now. There was a lot of strategy that made the game exciting. It was even fun when songs I wanted to keep were lost because the game was so dynamic.
I don't have as much time as some to post on these boards all the time, but I was making it a point to drop by everyday to see how it was going and to cast my vote. Now my heart is not in it. I know Carne likes controversy, but I can't help thinking he is right on this one. Jacob's made too many mistakes. Who's to say there won't be more? All the mistakes are making me lose interest in what song wins. I just don't care that much about it, unless somehow the game is salvaged from the mess that it became.
Maybe someone else should take over, or someone should start an alternate Tusk Surivor game. This one is broken, big time.
I vote for THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME to leave...

No beacuse OVER & OVER was voted out FAIRLY and BC was unfairly!
I'm not trying to be harsh, but this doesn't make any sense at all to me. How can you go back to the Beautiful Child round and still keep the results of the Over and Over round? Don't you think that if the results of the Beautiful Child round are changed now because of this runoff, which I think is a really bad idea, it puts all the results of the Over and Over round in question? Don't you see that if TEFM had been voted off in the Beautiful Child before that the next song off would probably have been Beautiful Child and NOT Over and Over?
If you go back and look at previous results, you will see that a song that got a lot of votes in one round but did not get voted off was immediately voted off in the next round, which makes sense because the players would keep voting for it until it's out. Now by redoing the BC round and keeping the Over and Over round you are doing something very unnatural that not only makes the Over and Over round very questionable but also has repercussions for future rounds. I don't see how you can carry on this game fairly after redoing the BC round.
But anyway, I'm out, and before you remind me of that, I will take my leave of this thread. Unlike Carne, I won't stick around to do commentary although I do think I will check in periodically if his commentary is as hilarious as the first report he filed already.

Good points. Jacob is taking the "back to the future" approach to running the game. Or like in "It's a Wonderful Life," you know when the angel shows the Jimmy Stewart character what life would have been for others if he hadn't existed. Now here we have a situation in which we are supposed to go back in time but let a future dimension, i.e., the Over and Over round, somehow stand untouched, something that would have been unquestionably impossible in a quantum-leap kind of situation.
Besides, Jacob, I find it very odd that you have called your own decision on BC "unfair." So are we to believe that you can be fair now? You say you made an unfair decision, but you want to retain credibility as you stumble forward with this game?

I intend to. My second report:
The wait continues.
As the midnight hour approaches, Jacob has yet to clarify how long the controversial, and some say unfair, BC runoff round will last. It remains unclear whether players outside of the North America will have a chance to cast their votes. As it is, with some players vowing to bow out of the tainted game in protest, the future of this competition looks murky at best.
As of now, the votes for dropping That's Enough For Me far outnumber those for Beautiful Child. And since this runoff was concocted to run while non-North American players, who earlier cast votes for Beautiful Child, are unable to vote, one wonders if the timing wasn't intended to keep them out and assure a victory for the supporters of Beautiful Child.
Indeed, suspicion runs rampant and questions remain. But no word from the man running the show.

Now, I don't want to seem like a jerk walking in on Jacob's role, so if anyone is opposed to this (and I PM'd 77Rumours77 right off the bat about this), let me know and I won't bother. Until then, I'll work up a draft for revised rules and post it - and see what people think. The key is simplicity and organization, really.
After the "Tusk" one is finished, then I'll hand it right back over if he wants to take it back, no problemo. I'd just hate to see this all go to waste due to some problems developing midway.

Wow, I was going to comment that CarneVaca really went off the deep end tonight. Aggressively attacking poor Jacob, and complaining loudly about "Chiffon Heads" taking over the game. After he had vehemently lobbied for recounts in the past, and then purposely overlooked the fact that "That's Enough For Me" had more votes in ALL previous rounds, than "Beautiful Child."
Talk about "sour grapes"!
But then, of course, I remembered that it's just "all in good humour" when good ol' CV says something, so.... :wavey:
You did a good job, Jacob. Sometimes I was disappointed because I felt you caved-in too quickly to the demands of the Tusk-Heads ( ;) ), but I realized you were just doing your best to try to stay as fair as possible.

Jacob,
I just want to say that I think you've been doing a fantastic job of running the Survivor threads. I'd also like to encourage you not to let Carne and others get you to step down from this Tusk one. Let him ramble as he does and show him that you're going to stick with it till the end. If you really want to step down, that's cool. I just had to tell you that you're doing a great job! Keep it up! Most of us have your back and are having a blast with this game.
I find it interesting that earlier in the thread Carne was defending you and telling someone that they were being too harsh on you. Then, when things don't go his way, he clearly insults, demeans, and harasses you. I didn't think we were supposed to do that to each other in here. He owes you an apology...but don't count on that happening. He's not a big enough man.
OK...I'm done with my ramble. Just had to throw in my two cents and show my support for Jacob.

Sorry Jacob, but you must know That i wouldn't have voted Over & over if BC was still in the game. It's that simple. It's the way the game works. Now I don't think there's conspiracy and I really think Carne's Paranoia is out of this league. But I agree that gaming with this Survivor costs a lot of time and energy. And it was fun to play it with strategy. I back out of the game too, because I think that replay an "in between" round ruins the game.
I don't point fingers but my fun is gone. Tusk is the best album ever recorded by anyone. And therefore it's a pity that my vote will not be seen anymore in this thread.

I'm afraid I disagree with that too. Over and Over was roundly defeated. It had not an ice-pop's chance in Hades of making it. Why stall the game again? We're already losing today as a voting day
I just laughed out loud.

My word, I go to Cape Cod and this place goes to hell in a handbasket.
A few thoughts:
1. Beautiful Child and Over and Over are gone. They went the way of the dinosaurs, folks. If you want to listen to them, go ahead, but they were voted out. I think it's a tad tiresome to invalidate a vote that's based on a previously invalidated vote, which now makes the current vote a run-off vote because of an invalidated vote. :p
2. Two different people should be in charge of tallying the votes to be sure that there are no miscounted votes. It's happened way too many times in this game and throws everything off.
3. The current run-off is a waste of time, IMO.
4. It's no suprise that Stevie fans want a Stevie song to win this, just as it's no surprise that Lindsey fans want a Lindsey song to win this. There's no use in arguing over it because it's just common knowledge, but I guess it just gives us more stuff to bloviate over.
5. I have no problem with Nancy being in charge.
6. If, in fact, this game is done, I would like to nominate Save Me A Place as the winner by default. ;)

I may take over then. I'd like to start over from the beginning, though. Would people find that too tiresome?
I'm torn on that. This one is so tarnished that resuming it is inevitably going to piss off some folks. On the other hand, starting a new one wastes all the effort that was put into the other one.

You're lucky that I have two strikes, or I would tell you exactly what I think of your "not big enough man" comment. I could squash like a bug verbally. Instead, I will do what I do with most bugs -- ignore them. I have proven that I am not above apologizing when I screw up. Ask the new guy, Michael.
If anyone owes anyone an apology here, it is you to me, and Jacob to me and everybody else for f*cking up the game royally.

What was that, the exorcism of Sybil? Scary, real scary!
CarneVaca, you owe Jacob an apology. He didn't deserve to be talked to like that. That was harrassment if I've ever seen it.
If it was harassment, rest assured the folks who run this board will penalize me for it. And you won't have to deal with me anymore because I'll be gone. That should make some of you happy.
I owe no one an apology. The person whom I attacked unfairly already has received my apology. And that wasn't Jacob. He owes me an apology, if anything.
I know there were a few times I laughed so hard I had tears rolling down my face. In my eyes the one who's lost the most credibility in this game is YOU!
Considering your political leanings, I view that as a compliment. Thank you.

The whole "all previous rounds" vs, "previous round" thing is news to me. I'm not saying it's wrong, it's just news to me. I don't watch Survivor on TV so I don't know how it's played. When this came up earlier in this game and I posted "It was my impression that the tie-breaker is whoever got the most voted in the previous round", no one corrected me, so it's not hard for me to understand why people thought this was the rule. I sure did.
I actually thought immunity worked fine, it was only when the previous count was questioned that it got confusing. I got immunity twice and it was fine both times, so maybe I should just pick immunity for every round.
Just kidding. :D
As far as "manuvering" there are plenty of examples to go around. I don't think anyone should be pointing fingers at any one else in this regard.
Frankly I think we should start over. Get the rules straight; a lot was learned from this failed experiment. I really think using the "poll" function would work the best since we wouldn't be subject to human error. Tusk has too many songs, I know, so maybe we could do Lindsey's songs first then Chris', then Stevie's and come up with their 3 best songs or something and then use them in a final poll.
If we continue doing it this way, there should be something in the subject line. Maybe something as simple as NV or even just an X.
Just another Ledgie's opinion... :wavey:

Jacob, thanks a lot for the game and all the time and work you put in it. Please go on with all the Survivor challenges you want, I find them funny and will keep playing them.
A couple of other things:
I think Nancy would do a terrific job with a Tusk Survivor.
Carne, I'm impressed by your talent as drama queen. You reminded me a bit Liz Taylor in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. ;)

Completely understandable. But in defense of why you weren't questioned on that, in that particular case, was that the tie breaker happened in round 2, meaning there was only one round to go back to.
And I agree that a complete set of rules needs to be posted before the next game begins, probably modeled after the real Survivor. :wavey:

OK, I've been contacted by rezamatic and we're going to follow dissention's advice and do a two-person counting system. I have decided to go ahead and start the whole thing over. We'll start a new thread for it this afternoon or evening. Consider this one "practice." And view the new one as a challenge, since there will be more tendencies towards coalitions on both sides. Make you work harder. ;)
That being said, it is very possible the results will turn out differently. Suck it up. We're going to pretend this game never existed. I don't expect to hear whining about it in the new thread. Clean slate, people.
One last thing - the new rules are going to be more precise and a tad different than Jacob's. Therefore, they must be read carefully and adhered to as they are stated. I do not want to hear "That's not the way we've done it before" or "That's not the way I want it done." Now we're doing it Nancy's way, lol.
P.S. Jacob, I'm sorry this turned out so badly! But take comfort in the fact that the others are going so well. :)

Wow! I missed a lot. The game is completely shot and we have to start over? That's a shame, I was hoping that we could continue and and just put the differences behind us.
This fight between CarneVaca and Rumours77 probably went a little too far, but I can see both points of view on this, and it is true that some serious mistakes were made. I wish we could move forward without having to redo any rounds or start the game over.

Nancy, I'm glad you're taking over. You're up to the task. I have no doubt of that. I have one concern about using the polling system you were suggesting. Can we keep the results hidden until the last vote is cast? I think that would be a lot of fun.
Otherwise, if the results are shown throughout the day, it creates a problem. The problem is that those folks who have been voting strategically wouldn't be able to change their votes if you are using the polls.
But if you're voting in the dark and the results are made public in the end, that is very exciting indeed.

I'm with you on this one. Sodacsouts, is there any way at all, any way at all, that we can just continue the game where left it off? Sodascouts and I are planning on trying to get a new game going later today. I think we planned on trying to start over, but now that you guys are talking about starting from where we left off, I agree that that's a good idea. I think we should start off at the round after Brown Eyes was voted off, and erase all previous votes just due to the hassle that it's impossible to count them by now. I'll probably post the rules for our new game (not much different, just more organized) and you guys can take a gander.
I'll talk it over with her and hopefully get the new rules up for you guys to look at. If you don't want to play it, then that's fine. But look for it in a few hours or so.

Oh please Carne... Anyone with two computers can easily do this. The funny thing is that you're now trying to cover your tracks in not very subtle ways. Giving two different votes in the Wild Heart survivor thread just now really is amusing. As if you'd care about a Stevie survivor game hosted by someone you just flamed to death.
And since I'm all into conspiracy theories and being a general pain, I must say that I had quite a lot of fun reading Dulcimer's posting history. Pretty incredible how he's systematically intervening in your favor to always add that extra voice and support when you're in the heat of things. Such dedication is truly remarkable! No one probably cares but check it out if you want a good laugh, it's hilarious. :D
I suppose Lindsey really needed two extra votes per round to boost his... what was it... oh yes "approval rating"
All in good fun of course :)

Outside of that, you're a good dude, and I'll be glad to interact with you on other threads. But you suck at running this thing.
I am late to this argument...But Carne...I'm suprised at you... it was just a recount because someone brought up some incorrect numbers..but who cares? I would be fine if either BC or TEFM left, if all was done fairly. I think you are being a whiny pouty baby, and taking your ball and going home. And i think you're giving short shrift to the "chiffon heads". There is no big plot. in fact, i've seen less plotting, criticism, and yelling by the chiffon heads. But whether that is true or not, I think everyone can agree that, although they may generally prefer one member's songs to another's, that not every member hits a home run every time, and that every member is possessed of genius. And by the way, I like TEFM more than SARA. If you really thought it was wrong, why didn't you just repost the places where it was wrong? I would be willing to go along with anything that was fair. But the big scene??! It's just so...beneath you... :(
I see that, apparently, nancy is taking over the game...whatever, fine.

But I thought going back to a previous round was what started all this mess in the first place? Now all the sudden it's OK? Or, if you're talking about continuing as is without going back at all, that's not happening. The whole point of this is to solve that controversy.
I'll abide by the majority decision, but I think the way to go is to start clean. The game has been tainted.

I don't think we're going to use the polling function. There are too many to fit on one poll, I believe. And I don't think there's a possiblity of hiding the votes otherwise. Sorry. :(
