Well, I found this website http://www.melaman2.com/tvshows/index.html today and have been enjoying some old TV theme show songs. Some bring back fond memories of shows I love and adore, such as Quantum Leap and Wings (a show I am enjoying again on Nick at Nite!!).
What TV theme show songs do you like? Some of my faves:
The Monkees (Hey hey, we're the Monkees!!)

I love TV theme songs. In fact, when I was a kid, I used to sit by the TV with my little portable tape-recorder, and I'd tape the themes to my favorite shows.
Of course, this was an extremely low-tech approach, and invariably my dog would bark right in the middle of the song!
Some of my all-time fave theme songs, then & now:
Wonder Woman
Gimme A Break
The Dick Van Dyke Show
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
Alice
One Day At A Time
The Jeffersons

You guys are forgetting some vital ones here! Such as (off the top of my head):
Laverne and Shirley
Mama's Family (which incidently was supposed to have words...I saw Vicki Lawrence do a "two woman show" before where she did herself and then Mama, and before she did Mama, she sang the words that were supposed to be in the theme song)
Pee Wee's Playhouse
and, one of my personal favorites, GUMMI BEARS!
Dashing and daring, courageous and caring
Faithful and friendly with so much to share
All through the forest, they sing out in chorus
Marching along as their song fills the air
Gummi Bears! Bouncing here and there and everywhere
High adventure that's beyond compare
They are the gummi bears!

How could I forget 'Mama's Family'?!?
I really wanted to see Vicki Lawrence's show when she was in the area. Did you see her when she performed at Mountaineer?

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned...Three's Company, Maude, Cheers, Family Ties...
But I think my favorite is All in the Family. Love the show, love the theme song! :woohoo: And I remember thinking back in the day I was pretty damn smart when I figured out the line "...boy our old LaSalle ran great..."
Great thread! :xoxo:

I really wanted to see Vicki Lawrence's show when she was in the area. Did you see her when she performed at Mountaineer?
Yeah, that's where I saw it. It was strange...Vicki actually has a really dirty sense of humor. I guess with the prudeness of Mama, I never expected it. While the performance was good, the seating was a real drag...I could only see her from the waist up because all the seating was straight across instead of being tiered. But she was hilarious when she came out as Mama...she has that character nailed. Anyway, sorry to go off topic. I'll throw out another theme song that I barely remember, but I remember liking it: Madam's Place. :]

Well that's easy. It has to be the theme from the BBC's Formula 1 highlights programme, Grand Prix. It's a song a few of you may have heard called The Chain :D

I love Lucy and she loves me
We're as happy as two can be
Some times we querrel but then...
how we love making up again
Lucy kisses like no one can
She's my Misses and I'm her man
and Life is heaven you see
Cause I love Lucy
