Interesting that so many people seem to share this opinion. I wonder what it is about that song that makes it stick out from the rest.

Hmm, the Silver Springs debacle never even crossed my mind, although I can't understand for the life of me why the band chose IDWTK over Silver Springs. I can't speak for others, but I've thought of IDWTK as the album's one weak spot since long before I ever heard about it replacing Silver Springs. I'm just intrigued that, while opinions about the other albums seem to differ wildly from user to user, so many other people seem to agree that the rest of Rumours rocks while IDWTK is disposable.

I don't get it. Rumours was the first FM album I ever owned back in high school, and before I knew anything about the band, and especially before I knew that IDWTK replaced Silver Springs, it was my favorite song, and to this day it remains as one of my favorite FM songs of all time. I think it's a fun, whimsical song with great harmonies, even though Stevie recorded it "with a gun to (her) head." It's obvious that the song won't last long past the first few rounds of this game (if even the first round), but I have to take this opportunity to express my dissent and defend the song. Are there any other kindrid spirits out there, or am I completely alone in my assertion?

My vote is for Don't Stop.

Dreams will not win. The three songs that all will fight it out to win are Gold Dust Woman, The Chain, and Go Your Own Way. Silver Springs WOULD have a good chance but when it gets down low people are going to get this attitude of well it's not really supposed to be there sop lets vote it out. So yeah I bet all my money that GDW The Chain and GYOW will be the 3 songs that could win. Dreams doesn't have the slightest chance in hell.

Check out the Rumours documentary. She said she recorded it with a gun to her head because she really, really loved Silver Springs and was POed when Mick said it wasn't making the album. Even though she wrote IDWTK, it's obvious that Silver Springs was the masterpiece, and I would have been madder than an FM fan being told to sit down at a concert if I was in Stevie's boots.

Well, I could say the same thing to you in reverse--I LOVE Oh, Daddy. It's very dark and middle eastern sounding and IMHO, one of Chris' best songs EVER. I didn't like IDWTK from the very first time I heard it. It's not a bad song, it's just a nothing bleh song to these ears.

I LOVE I Don't Want to Know! I don't think it can be compared to Silver Springs; it's a different kind of song. In fact, I was shocked to find out that Stevie wrote it! It seems more like a Lindsey kind of song. As for SS being left off Rumours, it seems the song found it's rightful place, time, and sound on The Dance. It's how it was meant to be :D

These Survivor threads suck (no offense, Jacob  ). I mean, when Alex did one for SYW last year, Thrown Down was voted the best song. And poeple were up in arms over the fact that it was essentially a Stevie solo album that we had to pick from because all the Stevie fans came out in droves to kick Lindsey's stuff out. Every time we do this it's always a Stevie song and it just gets bit tiresome.

I thought the tone was bitchy, that's all. There a clear difference between being a "bitch" and making comments that sound "bitchy." I saw the laughy, but you gotta watch throwing the B word around with girls. As far as "some people you can joke around with, and blah, blah" , we'll see. I'm kinda surprised that Songbird was voted off. I always thought it was one of her more popular songs.

Anyway, my vote is still YMLF.

Yay Songbird is gone! This round im going YMLF I don't think Christine had most of her best work on Rumours.

I would vote for Second Hand News, but danm I can't sit here and watch Chris's songs be systematically voted out one by one. So I'll vote for Never Going Back Again

We don't need another Chris song voted off. Oh Daddy, YMLF and Songbird are the best songs on Rumours, imo.

Bye, Never Going Back Again.

Okay, remove my GDW vote, and put it on NGBA. YMLF is my favorite song on Rumours, especially the bonus disk version.
NGBA, bye! :blob2:

This is a really hard choice. I don't listen to either one quite as much. But I LOVE singing "Sweeeeeeeeeeeet (wonderful you)" That first word/note really makes me happy. But I also love singing the guitar part in NGBA, it's all light and tinkly, it makes me happy, too. And NGBA was so good live, and it's fresh in my mind...but so far i've voted for all Christine songs (although IDWTK left before Oh, Daddy) Hmmmnnn.
I guess NGBA :distress: :( goodbye *sniff* ...old friend. "oooo, oo oo oo oo ooo, you don't know what it means to win" :o

It has to be round 5. There've been 4 songs voted off so far. Don't Stop, Oh Daddy, IDWTK, and Songbird. Right? Or am I totally confused?

Before i posted i went and looked back and saw that in ROUND FOUR, Songbird was let go. I checked, so that i could put the right round number. I think it is now round five.

I'm very surprised that so many people are voting off NGBA. I think it's a great song, showcasing Lindsey's guitar style. My second-favorite Lindsey song on the album after SHN.

I'm suprised from what you're saying that you voted for GYOW. Is that not also Lindsey's guitar style? Plus some great Base and Drum work? Plus a compellingly whiney vocal? Also it means that you like YMLF better than GYOW? Your veeeeery mysterious today, with your cat thing, and your GYOW thing....

GYOW doesn't have that distinct guitar picking thing that Lindsey does so well on NGBA and many other songs.
And Lindsey's opposed bringing the cat on the plane, so he's okay by me. :)
