What card games do you know how to play?
I admit I don't know many. My grandmother lived in Atlantic City & taught me some when I was little, and others I learned from friends.
I can play:
- War
- Go Fish
- Solitaire
- Gin

I used to play Knuckles (Bloody Knuckles) and Casino, but I can't remember the rules right now.
A friend in Austin & a friend here are addicted to Poker, but believe it or not, I've never played.

And for those of you who don't recognize the lyric in the thread title, how's this: "I was the dealer...It wasn't hard..." :cool:

4 people, two teams. The two teams make up a lame signal to use when they get Kemps.

Deal 4 cards to everyone, then put the deck face-down in the center. Tell everyone the card on the bottom (the number you don't want to try to get all 4 kinds of).

Everyone just kinda moves at the same time. It's pretty fast-paced. The whole objective is to get 4 cards of the same value. So everyone's just putting cards down at random and you have to snag the ones you need. It was sorta overwhelming the first time I played it.

When someone gets all the cards they need, they say their signal (mine are always non-verbal. I usually hold my cards so that my fingers indicate number of matching cards I have, and my partner sees them. If that made sense.

Anyway, when your partner sees the signal, s/he's all "KEMPS!" And everyone laughs and plays again.

The losing team gets one letter of the word "Kemps" and the team to get all the letters loses.

It's one of the most popular games in my school (even though cards aren't allowed) aside from Tonks, Euchre, and Poker.

yes you are! I've played magic - pretty complicated - My BF at the time was an expert. I know, geek out. I'd be like "instead of buying those cards, you could be buying me presents!" :D Pretty fun though.

We play every Tuesday night, well I say play, but what we actually do is drink too much, lose a lot of money, and bemoan the stress we all suffer due to our studies. By the end of the night it usually turns into a "shoot the ****" gabfest. It's a lot of Fun!
