Young Mr. Buckingham
Noted in another thread that we met Will Buckingham after the show. My daughter asked him if he plays the guitar and he said his dad tried to teach him but that it did not work out too well. He said he was there with a few friends. Just kidding around, we asked if he ever signed hins autograph, he said no so my daughter had him sign her ticket stub. He signed it very formally, like a homework assignment. When asked he said he was in the seventh grade. Seems like a very good kid. Thought some might appreciate seeing his photo (I cropped out my daughter for both his and her sake).

Lindsey doppelganger. I haven't see the daughters in quite a while so I couldn't say how similar they are, but LB contributed the majority of his physical genes to this one for sure.
Thanks for sharing lbfan!!

having my 8th grader and his friends to compare, i'd say he looks very much his age, still a pretty kid. next year, he'll be a teenager with a deep voice and a shadow of a mustache

You're not kidding. That kid looks older than me, for Buddha sake. Though I do look very young for my age and have been accused of being 14 (At University. I must be a prodigy). It always amazes me how much older American children look compared to British. For example, on a show the other day there was a twelve year old about who was around six feet tall and looked like he was just about to finish high school. I told the TV to eff off when it told his age. The twelve year olds here look barely old enough to be their age. Gah. I want some of what the American kids are having because I can't even buy lottery tickets or matches

He's so cute!!! I don't think I've ever seen him smile before. He's adorable.
If he travels around with Dad in the fall, I'm SO taking a niece or two with me;-) |

Will seemed to move with a confidence and grace that other boys that age lack. Although, I probably just say that because the boys he was with seemed younger than him. Maybe they were shorter and not younger. I don't know.
I noticed that Stella's hair is now darker than her sister's. She's still blonde, but not so much. Lee Lee was walking around with her friend before the show, being very much a pre-teen. Stella was not, but then who knows when her bed time is. She might have been tired. Michele |

I can't decide if he looks more like Kristen or Stevie.

Wow...he looks just like Lindsey.
He's going to be a very, very good-looking adult.* (*I can say that and it not be creepy, right?) |

Lindsey threw me for a loop, because I expected him to mention his wife and kids in the Big Love intro as always and he didn't. So, I immediately thouht, "Oh, he obviously doesn't love those slackers any more!"
But he had something else up his sleeve. He was making his song introductions tell a story and he tied the last intro to one that had come earlier. So, he wrapped it all up in the end by referring us to his earlier mention of the choices you make in life. Concluding that when he sees his beautiful wife and beautiful children in the audience, he can't find fault with any of the choices he has made along the way. Very nicely done. Some things never change. He did act like he was having trouble remembering when he wrote Big Love . I practically screamed 1987 just because I was tired of him pretending that the year had slipped his mind, when he's said it dozens of time before. Michele |

I know your joking, but I couldn't even pretend to see Stevie in this kid's face. Kristen is even stretching it (I think he has her nose a bit, and maybe the lips). But perhaps the daughters?
Those who went would know.
