Default Long Business Trip

Just got back from Stockholm, Sweden.. wow what a long but fantastic trip. I worked in my company's corp headquarters. Anyway, you guys kept me company, cos when I couldn't sleep at 3am Sweden time... I came here and read all the threads out of boredom in my hotel room.

You guys are always there to entertain me with FM debates and such..... it sure helped the insomnia.. Now back in Los Angeles it's 4:29am and I can't sleep... jet lag....

Welcome back to town, brown! I'd like to go to Copenhagen Denmark to see the ice statue of the Little Mermaid in the harbor!

There's a bridge they just built from Sweden to Denmark.. I did not get to see it but would have loved too.... They actually had to fill the sea with land to finish it... I believe there's a tunnel as well. Man I love the History channel!!

3 Questions:

1. Was it cold in Sweden?

2. How did you get along with the language...do you speak Swedish?

3. Is the majority of the population really blonde-haired and blue-eyed?

1. for me yes... but not really it was in the 30's... there was no snow... they are flabbergasted about the increase in temp... they told me normally there is one meter on the ground at this time.. (3 feet) and it's usually 5-15 F degrees temp... i mean they really couldn't believe how warm it is... a lot of them like to ice skate along the rivers and lakes of stockholm and they can't do it this year because it's been so warm...

2. most swedes speak english... they sound british... i had dinner with my former boss' family... her mother did not speak english.. she looked exactly like margret thatcher...

3. well yes, i saw 2 black people the whole week i was there... there is quite a bit of blonde and blue eyed... they are very opened minded as far as social terms... gay black religion etc... being a gay man i felt very comfortable around everyone...

i was very impressed on how their socialist govt works... You can walk anywhere in the city and feel safe... cold but safe lol... Very wonderful country and people.. I would visit again... but wow that flight is so long... make sure you take some valium with you to sleep on the plane...

I see you're up again early this morning. Isn't there some kind of vitamin regimen that you can take to help ease the jet lag?

haha yes i was up at 4am... i feel like my gramps... he would get up at 4am and pray at the dining room table... and i would always say hello to him when i went to the bathroom... and think to myself... how does he do it... (get up so early)

as far as regimen... it's just a matter of getting back on LA clock.. Sweden's clock is almost opposite... we sleep when they work and we work when they sleep... so to fly there your body clock has to adjust 9 entire hours... mine as well be 12 ya know??!!!
