Talking LB Turner at Hard Rock Cafe Hawaii

This gives me yet another reason to go to Hawaii.

I've been to the Hard Rock in Hawaii. It has a whole Fleetwood Mac Wall. .........Lots of guitars, costumes, and pictures. I have pictures and video...somewhere.

Default Interesting..

For any gearheads on here that's actually a Turner Model 2, take a good look because they are a rare breed.

I don't think Rick has built more than 15 or 20 in the last 26 years..

From what I recall Lindsey didn't really get a feel for it like the Model 1 although its technically very similar except for a second pickup and minor electronic differences.. I think this one was built during 1980..

Good catch, Justin!

Also note the jack is next to the bridge on the top (like a Gibson ES-335) instead of on the side (like a Gibson Les Paul). That's how you can tell if a Turner M1 or M2 was made in the first go arounds in the late 70's/early 80's...Rick made the change when he started making them again in the mid-90's

Yup, and Lindsey had all his early Model 1's, three I believe (quote from Rick I got in an email from him back in December 2003 : " LB has 5 of them, two as described and three
older ones...one with a walnut peghead and no logo, and two with the lion
and block letter "Turner"
). changed by having Rick plug the hole in the top, move the jack plug socket to the side of the guitar and at the same time he moved the passive tone control up and back and filled the hole for that too... If you have a good eye you can spot the fillings on "The Dance" DVD when you get some close ups..

Sorry for the anal post but somebody somewhere just might be interested!

Thumbs up Coolness!

I'm no guitar head, but that's very interesting stuff. I need to go watch the Dance again...and look for those fills. Perhaps Lindsey should give them that busted up Model 1 from London to display somewhere.

Since the Hard Rock in NYC on 57th does not have one shred of Mac in their halls, I hope when the Time Square locale opens that we see something Fleetwood Mac preferably LB there.

Default Guitar at Hard Rock LV

We saw one of Lindsey's guitars at the Hard Rock in Vegas, I will scan and post a picture tomorrow since it's getting late.

Default Here's the guitar

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

It is along the hallway entering the hotel from the parking garage's elevator and just outside of the casino, accross from the HR store.

Exclamation Bwah!!

What does the plaque say? Just blah, blah, this is Lindsey Buckingham's guitar, who is the lead singer/guitarist for Fleetwood Mac who joined the band in 1974 along with then-girlfriend, Stevie Nicks who's own song, Rhiannon, opened the door for her a decades-long look of wearing black and chiffon.

Yawn. LOL OMG, I bored myself.

Sesly, do you know what the plaque says?

Looks like a guitar from the mid 1990's given the look of it, (Rick changed the shape and other boring details I won't go into! )..

I'd say at a guess it was one used during the Dance Tour..
