Default CD for friends

Hey everyone,

I'm making a cd for a few friends of mine who are blooming Fleetwood Mac fans. I can't decide which songs would be best for them (mainly in terms of enticing them into wanting more of the MAC!) so I figured you could all help. So far I think the best songs would be:

Sisters of the Moon (Live from Baton Rouge '78)
Bleed to Love Her (SYW)
Oh Well (Live album)
You Make Loving Fun (Rumours)
I'm So Afraid (Shine Angel bootleg)
Rhiannon (Live album)
Songbird (Rumours)
The Farmer's Daughter (The Dance tour maybe?)
Never Going Back Again (Shine Angel bootleg)
Sara (Tusk)
Second Hand News (Sin City bootleg)
Tusk (Any good quality ones from the SYW tour?)
Eyes of the World (Again, any good quality ones from the SYW tour? I hear Buffalo is good, but I don't have it...)
Go Your Own Way (Rumours)
Say Goodbye (SYW)
Peacekeeper (SYW)

They both already have The Dance and Rumours, so I want to stear clear of things that they already have because of those albums. Also, I'd prefer to only have really good quality bootleg recordings, etc., and keep it to either one or two discs.

Again, my intent is to turn them on to FM even more...

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...

Adam R.

My picks:

Say Goodbye (SYW)
Steal Your Heart Away (SYW)
Miranda (SYW)
Everybody Finds Out (SYW)
Crystal (White Album version)
Storms (Tusk)
Beautiful Child (any live version)
Behind the Mask (BTM)
If You Were My Love (FM "tropical" version)
Little Lies (TITN)
Gypsy (The Chain version, NO live versions!!)
Eyes of the World (any SYW tour version)
Isn't It Midnight (TITN)
Sisters of the Moon (single version)
Over My Head (single version)
Nights In Estoril (Time)
Straight Back (Mirage)
Gold Dust Woman (Japan '77)
Thrown Down (WOS version)
Brown Eyes (Tusk)
The Ledge (Tusk)

You have to throw in a few "odd" tunes because you never if someone will respond to it.

I have tried so hard to get my friends to like Fleetwood Mac, but no! They are more into Marylin Manson and Christina Agulara!

I would go with some more modern songs. Maybe a mix of Trouble in Shangri-la and SYW and throw in some live songs from the last few tours from them. Of course, these were some of my ideas and they failed to make my friends fans. But it sounds like you are making some headway if they already like Rumours and The Dance.

I would recommend getting the FM live CD's, there is a great live version of Oh Well on there.

Adam,

I advice you to invite youre friends, make sure there's enough food and drinks (and perhaps some other "stuff" ), shut doors and windows, unplug the phone and play them all FM songs during the Xmas week 'till new years eve. Over and over again. That's a cool gift to vive, you're hospitality, friendship and knowledge of FM.
Infect them with the same virus we have, it's called the OMGA-FMC-SLI virus, which stands for, Oh my God, another FM song, can't stop loving it. After a few days they want everything, they'll buy it on there own, one way you save money, otherwise you give 'm one of the greatest gifts you can give,
A whole lotta Fleetwood Mac

Just kiddin',
What it absolutely needs are the next tracks, (i think).

Never going back again (live from last tour)
Frozen love (BN)
Songbird (RUMOURS)
Oh Well ( SEVERAL ALBUMS)
Over my head (WHITE)
Save me a place(TUSK)
These strange times (TIME)
Wish you were here (MIRAGE)
Dreams (RUMOURS)
Silver springs (CHAIN)

With all tips it's going to be a double CD,
Good luck,
Will
