Bob Welch at Nashville show
I was just listening to the partial Z93 interview that Tracy caught this morning in Atlanta (thank you Tracy!). Lindsey mentioned that Bob Welch was at the recent Nashville show.
Thinking about Bob, I then went to his site (http://www.bobwelch.com/) and saw the following there: "I saw FM at Gaylord Ent. Center in Nashville on May 31.... Told Mick and Lindsey it was the best I'd ever seen them! See the show, if you can... bands 30 years younger don't have as much energy as these troopers put out!" He's got a collection of his Fleetwood Mac material, and what he says is a 9-minute remake of "Oh Well" coming out July 8.

Bob's cool. I bought his Bee Bop cd. I liked him in the Mac and as a solo too.

Wow... sounds like Bob, Mick & John (and hopefully Christine, as well) have worked out their differences.
This is good news... thanks for posting that, Les!

AWWW! How cool it that! I wish I would of has a better idea of where he was sitting. I saw Lindsey many times giving people the eye and a "hey" look but heck, he did that with many
I thought there would be more stars there though since it was Nashville and well they are the MAC! Tamara

Thanks for posting the information about Bob's CD coming out next month. I hope there's ALOT of Fleetwood Mac era tracks on it.

He called yesterday but I was away on a business trip and just got back. He sent me an email on the CD with the cover and tracklisting; it is attached and his message said it is coming out on July 8th. I'll find out more information shortly.

i dig the Bee Bop cd, also..
I have to say I admire Bob Welch for actually wanting to see the band that he played in - especially since he was omitted during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.. what a crime!! I guess I should get over it, since Bob obviously has..
thanks for the info, Marty!! I definitely will buy the new Welch cd!! |

GREAT!
Yeah, thanks Marty, I'd better go start my sniffin' around on this one now.
Oh boy, this one is gonna be a nightmare to "place" in the discography (as it sounds as if it may include recordings done under both the FM & Welch solo "names"), waddayathink Marty? Bob solo? FM other? ARGH! John Last edited by wetcamelfood; 06-04-2003 at 07:51 AM.. |

UPDATE
Just heard back from Eddie Wilner at One Way, he says these are all RE-RECORDINGS done by Bob (so I guess it's to be "Bob solo" then Marty ).
If I find out anything else, I'll pass it along here. John |

Oh Well Parts I and II -- that explains why it's 9 minutes.
I just wish he'd make up his mind: Are the eyes emerald or ebony? Confusing. |

Yesterday's gone. I'm believing it. NOW let's see him on stage as a member of the band- at least as a guest! Thank you Les! Just wanted to add a link to the Welch Q&A: http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/qa/bobwelch_qa1.htm Last edited by Tango; 06-04-2003 at 02:20 PM.. |
