remember too that Christine is older than the rest of them. Who knows if Stevie and company will still be in the business 5 years from now.

Christine bowed out when she was 54. Stevie, et al. have way surpassed Christine's longevity.

Christine gave us Future Games, Bare Trees, Penguin, Mystery to Me, Heroes Are Hard To Find, Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, Tango in the Night, Behind the Mask, Time. That's 12 studio albums.

Stevie gave us Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, Tango in the Night, Behind the Mask, Say You Will. That's seven studio albums. She has five more to go to equal Christine's longevity. Thus, in party, my cheeky use of "air quotes." Though I also mean it. I voted for Stevie.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Quantity does not equal longevity!

By your reasoning, you could say that Stevie's solo career has twice the longevity of Christine's, even though Christine's first solo album came out before Buckingham Nicks.

Christine's songs are the songs that still get recognised and played though. I thought that's what longevity meant?

Songs like Rhiannon & Landslide from the Fleetwood Mac album have stood the test of time, as has Christine's songs, I'm not really educated on Christine's songs before the album 'Fleetwood Mac', but I'm sure some of them have stood the test of time too....(Which sucks...so I'm going on YouTube to look some of these babies up..) So I guess Christine does have a better longevity than Stevie.

Yep, exactly!

Time Christine spent releasing good music: 37 years (1967-2004)
Time Stevie spent releasing good music: 14 years (1973-1987)

There are all sorts of ways to spin numbers to suit your own motives. For instance, Christine clocked in 28 years in Fleetwood Mac; but Stevie has put in nearly 36. Christine recorded 12 studio albums; Stevie has done 7. Christine has charted 10 top 40 US singles; Stevie's had only 5. Christine recorded 47 stand alone studio (released) tracks with Fleetwood Mac; Stevie has recorded 30.

The lady of the Mac whose numbers just can't compete at all is Bekka. She basically did 1 year of hard time, had no charted singles, and the album itself didn't chart in the US either. Hell, she only recorded THREE SONGS released by Fleetwood Mac. So anyone who choses her as a favorite is nothing more than a contrarian in my eyes.

Um... okay, I don't know how you arrived at that conclusion.

I love pre-Rumours Christine. A lot. But I can honestly say that no pre-Rumours song of hers has had the enduring notoriety of songs like "Black Magic Woman," "Albatross" or even "Sentimental Lady." The fact that you cannot recall any of her songs from this era kinda proves that they haven't exactly transcended time.

My point was not to confuse productivity with longevity. My point was that She got more done in the same amount of time actually. After all. She was five years on Stevie when she left after The Dance. And, as far as I'm concerned, Stevie's tenure ends with Say You Will--until a new album comes out. Say You Will came out five years after The Dance. Their tenures are tied. And one of them was more productive. Still, I voted for Stevie. She still gives me hope.

Whoah, that's highly subjective. I can think of tons of AMAZING pre-'75 Christine songs I *ADORE* . Why, Prove Your Love, Did You Ever Love Me, Dissatisfied, Come A Little Bit Closer, Believe Me, Keep On Going, The Way I Feel, et al. There may not be any big mega hits amongst these, but they're very, very high quality tunes to my ears.
