Despite my love for "Hard Feelings" and it's "Beatle-ish, White Album era" feel, "In The Back Of My Mind" just is Billy's standout track (with the awesome intro build up (Mick's brainchild?), background vocals by Rick, Chris & Stevie, and Rick's guitar solo at the fade out)

I agree! 'In the Back Of My Mind' is the best of these 3 songs and one of the best songs on the album!!

While I really like "Hard Feelings", I voted for "In The Back Of My Mind" because it's overall a better song.
Really like all of Billy's work on "Behind The Mask". It's all great stuff.

"In the Back of My Mind" is nice, but kinda faux epic. Sorry. It's no "I'm So Afraid." "Hard Feelings," however, is moving and beautifully achieved--memorable because its melody rides the grooves of one's (delicate) hard feelings.
