Lightbulb When The SYW Songs Were Concieved...

Here is something I came up with...

I'll start off with Lindsey, cause he talked about how he hooked up with Rob Cavallo after the OOTC tour. If you look @ the production credits he and Lindsey did these songs all pre-Dance...

'94-'96

Miranda
Red Rover
Come
Steal Your Heart Away
Bleed To Lover Her

Then there are the songs I am guessing he did after The Dance before they went into do SYW...

'98-'00

Murrow
Say Goodbye
Peacekeeper
WTWCT

For Stevie, I know she gave a lot of old demos ranging from the time of Rumours up until TISL...

Smile @ You - '76
Goodbye Baby - '76
Running Through The Garden - 80s
Thrown Down - '98

Then She wrote 5 new songs for SYW...

Illume
SYW
Silver Girl
Everybody Finds Out
Destiny Rules

So that is basically the evolution of SYW and I need to go find a life.

I would love to have been able to get hold of the songs Lindsey did with Rob Cavallo before The Dance in '96. Shame the album was never released.

The thing about SN songs is although she may have written the song in 1997, it may be based on a 1977 journal entry and may also have several other journal entries in it from different time periods. So, who knows what period or periods the song is actually about. For example, we know she had most of Goodbye Baby in about 1977 because of the demo. Then she added additional lyrics on the SYW version. These lyrcis could have been part of the original song and just not on the demo we have. Or, she could have written them at any other time from now until last year or so.

"Smile at You" & "Goodbye Baby" were both recorded as demos in 1976. (The former was recorded again in 1981.)

What other songs does she do on "Say You Will"?

I know...this drives me crazy about some of her songs....they don't necessarily follow one story - they could be four stories in one....very confusing. I suppose this is what also makes me love her.
