I went to a show last night, and some dude that turned out to be Mr. Matt Holliday of the Saint Louis Cardinals managed to dent in one of my steel toed boots whilst jumping about and being ginormous like he is.

I dunno about y'all, but color me impressed.

Y'know, except these were spendy boots.

He was very nice & charming, though, and protective of all the females within range in the pit (even though I'd explained before the set that I'm black metal girl, so trust me, I'm okay here at this disturbingly emo-ish thing I've been dragged to, honest), so I won't be TOO upset.

But still. Dude. My boots! *sob*

Yay you! Congratulations!

I am not good at tennis. In fact, I am rather bad. How long have you been playing?

I just realized that I will be finished with my last final for this semester on May 11th at 7:00pm.

I leave the country for study abroad on May 13th at 4:20pm.

In between those two times, I'll have to pack my entire dorm room, make the nine hour drive back home, and pack for a month long stay overseas.

I'm going to Seville! On weekends/side trips I'll also be going to Lisbon, Morocco and Zurich. I might stay over there and do some additional traveling, but that's what's planned so far.

Seville is amazing, good choice!

I just found out that the horse I learned to ride on was put to sleep on Thursday. :'( She was 30, she had Cushings, and she began to get laminitis to the point where she would lean back so far on her haunches she was almost sitting. I went to visit her last weekend, so I actually did get to hug her goodbye and stuff. I even got some pictures of her being silly.

Rest in Peace my dear Midnight.

We had to put a horse down recently too. He basically shredded his entire leg while out in pasture and it was just not going to end well either way. So sad-- the horse was only 14.

How long do horses normally live?

(I don't know much about them, but I do feel incredibly comfortable riding them. )

I suppose it's all right to know you're good at something and acknowledge it. For example, I am good at staring off into the middle distance. I don't flatter myself that I am the BEST at that, but I'm pretty damn good.

We all have our talents!
