Clunkers

My husband & I bought a new car this past Wednesday. We already have a Toyota Tacoma & he's the primary driver. We really like it. Our 1999 Sunfire (me being the primary driver), didn't qualify as a clunker. Well, I didn't want it to anyway because I really still like it though the A/C isn't working right, but really there is nothing wrong with it other than that. It gets good gas mileage. One of my nieces is going to buy it in a few months. At the Toyota dealership, our saleman pointed to all the clunkers in the lot; there was about 30 of them he said. They are still waiting to get reinbursed from the government & waiting for someone to come & get them. And cars are getting scarce at the dealerships. I was really looking for a 2009 Camry leftover, but the ones they had were V6's. I wanted a V4, so I got a 2010. And though I've seen reviews saying the inside is cheap looking, I really like it. My husband likes it, too. I feel safe in it (seven air bags) & Camry's are known for their reliability & excellent gas mileage. And even used cars/trucks are getting scarce. The salesman wanted to know if we'd trade the Tacoma in; no way!

So I'm just curious to hear if any Ledgies got rid of their clunkers.

Oh, when we went to pick it up Wednesday, while waiting to get the papework done, they played Stevie's "Talk to Me" in the showroom.
