Just read on another that John Kinney said he was told that she is not gonna be doing it

AH CRAP!!
Well that sucks. The show NEEDS her DESPERATELY! THIS BITES!!
BTW...Kelly Clarkson's singing her new song on Wednesday!! I've heard Miss Independent and it's a GREAT song...it's a funky, catchy song!!  Just thinking tho...it may be for the best because they are gettin' ready for the tour and stuff. Lots of press, etc...she doesn't have time for AI2. It STILL would have kicked some major butt tho having her on there. Oh Well.

Hi, Sarah -
Where'd you read it? I'm seeing nothing at the Nicksfix & it was updated today. I was getting my hopes up, as TV guide says that this Tuesday is devoted to singer-songwriers & the show was very hush-hush about keeping the identities a secret. I thought that might explain why we had heard nothing official. Too bad: if Stevie were gonna be on the show, it would have to be very soon before the tour rehearsals get intense. -Jake

Who knows? John Kinney told me when I emailed him in 2002 that Stevie WOULD NOT BE appearing on Divas Las Vegas and it was rumor...wow he knows his facts..lol

Personally, I'd be relieved if she did not appear on Idol after all. I would honestly find that really cheesy. I'm not a huge fan of the show, and I think an appearance from Stevie would be awkward since the show is pretty much focused on really young pop music....even though she definitely was/is an "American Idol" and many of her fans are young...I just don't want to see her pull a Sheryl Crow and get overexposed on TV with appearances like that at the time of the new album. JMHO.
