Question Disney resorts question

I think I will go again to Disneyworld sometime this year, (not before july). And for the first time I was thinking to stay at a hotel within the park. Of the value and moderate hotels you maybe know.. what do you recomend? And why, or what did you like most? Any info is welcome, Thanks!

I was looking at the web and the Coronado with its maya pyramid at the pool looks great! but I want to choose the best. Obviously the deluxe are far from my budget, ha haaa

Value Disney Hotels
All-Star Movies
All-Star Music
All-Star Sports
Pop Century Resort

Moderate Disney Hotels
Caribbean Beach
Coronado Springs
Port Orleans Riverside
Port Orleans French Quarter

I didn't think they were crapola. Considering they ran about $75 a night, and we were there long enough to shower and sleep, it was good enough for us. We stayed in All Star Movies. Clean to a fault. Took us forever to check in. Nice pool, small outdoor bar area, but it was nice. Big cafeteria, but often crowded. For the small amount of time we spent there, I think it would be a waste to go for something nicer.
Have fun! Disney was one of the funnest vacations I've ever taken.

ha! Me and my "four star-ness" i guess. nah, not really. Well I stayed at Disney in 2004 during the 3 hurricanes that whacked central Florida. It was one of the only places that had power. It was atrocious. Maybe I just had a bad room. I'd prefer to stay at any of the condo-style hotels in the area (the ones where they've converted studio and one bedroom apartments into hotel rooms). That way you have a kitchen, etc.

I thought Carribean Beach was great. The rooms were very nice and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE! It has like an island around this main area you walk into to get to the food court and such. I had a great time there!

Who are you, Strand? If your hotel was one of the only places that had power because of a hurricane, I would assume it was overcrowded & understaffed more than usual.

I've never stayed at a Disney hotel/resort, but I'm with Maria - clean & modern with basic amenities is good enough for me. Esp at Disney - you're probably not going to spend much time at the hotel itself. If you're into using spa services, want fancy room service & expensive sheets/decor, then go for the more costly one.
