Songs that shouldacoulda been the Mac!
So what songs have you always thought could've made a great FM song?
I think "Misunderstanding" by Genesis had the potential to be a great Fleetwood Mac song. Woulda fit perfectly on Mirage. |

"Paradise By The Dashboard Light."
Why? Because they were barely seventeen and they were barely dressed! |

Hold On Hope by Guided By Voices. Also, Robert Pollard has a song off of his new album Coast To Coast Carpet Of Love called Miles Under The Skin that reminds me of Fleetwood Mac.
As for classics, I'd love to hear Christine cover the Beatles' Hello, Goodbye, and I'd love to hear Christine and Stevie do the George Harrison-penned Eric Clapton song Run So Far.

There is one song that strongly comes to mind that should have/could have been a Christine McVie/Fleetwood Mac. The song is "Day After Day" by Badfinger --such an aching, beautiful song. My god, that song is so her...not only the melody, but lyrics -- which are undeniably in her style:
I remember finding out about you Everyday my mind is all around you Looking out of my lonely room Day after day Bring it home, baby, make it soon I give my love to you The song was a big hit for Badfinger. If you are not familiar with it, track it down and imagine Christine singing it. I so wish she had wrote and sung it. It's the best Christine song that never was!
