RIP My Friend Patrick...

I know I posted about a month ago about how my best guy friend since we were kids was not doing well with cancer. I can confirm he passed away today around 5pm. He got better after his bout with pneumonia last month, and flew to Seattle from Jacksonville to see a cancer specialist who is very well known. The specialist told him the cancer was the most aggressive he had seen, even when patrick would fight it off, it would come back even stronger....

He passed away 2 hours after all the tubes were removed, and the hospital let him and his girlfriend(another childhood friend) sleep in bed and look out onto the mountains. I can also tell you he wanted music, and requested Beatles, and Fleetwood Mac(since i got him into them), and he passed away soon after.

I was able to get out what I wanted to him, but this will be very hard, already everyone is calling me....my circle (myself, jill(his gf), sara(her sister) and patrick is now incomplete). Just wanted to let you guys know the update, and i did very much so appreciate the comments you left me last time.

Patrick was 23, and died due to complications from non hodgkins lymphoma...

Oh, Gavin, I am so sorry to hear about Patrick. I had been keeping him in my thoughts since you first posted about him a month ago, and had hoped that his condition would improve and he'd get stronger and stronger.

23 is far too young to die.

So very sorry to hear about your friend..It sounds like Patrick was a real fighter and very brave..It was very nice he had love and music surround him as he makes his next journey..Remember all the wonderful memories Gavin ;of Patrick ,and let your heart smile in the friendship you shared..May he rest in peace and love...
