Actually, I think the Rocky Vito/Bobby Burnette performances of GYOW on both the world tours were anthemic & fun & very, very tuneful -- the choruses were vocally full-bodied & bracing, akin to the studio version.

I used to get slightly annoyed with the throwaway quality that Buckingham, Nicks & McVie gave the chorus during the earlier touring years, with each of them singing a harmony inappropriate to his or her voice box & all of them singing off-key.
eh? Burnette sung it terribly off-key too! Annoyed the heck out of me.

'Blessings' of perfect pitch..

Yah the chorus really sucks now on GYOW. But I do agree that Billy and Rick did a good job on GYOW for both tours I enjoyed it. Stevie took a lot more gifts on these tours. SO did christine actually.

I'm surprised to find out that "When The Sun Goes Down" was actually performed in concert (and not just in rehearsal). Are any boots of those shows available?

It makes perfect sense why Christine was most definately the leader of the band on the Behind The Mask tour, especially in the absence of Lindsey. Rick & Billy were the newbies, and Stevie was in La La Land.

I know it is cirrculating on the June 1, 1990 Sacramento California Audio. Although the show is cut, "when the sun goes down" is included.
