I just find it weird that no one on these boards can say they have a copy. I haven't come across one collector who seems to have it on vinyl, not even the total hardcore collectors, which makes me think it never existed. Actually where's Wetcamelfood? He has everything doesn't he?

Btw, I saw that SYW is available on audio cassette along with a bunch of other recent releases (ie-Judas Priest's "Angel of Retribution" & Megadeth's "The System Has Failed") from Indonesia (Saw 'em on eBay the past few days for about $11.99 "Buy It Now" price) I'm sure Wetcamelfood would be more knowledged in official FM/SN releases than I am...

If you meant the acetate...
Quote:
http://www.musicstack.com/item/55251...+you+will+-+uk http://www.musicstack.com/item/55514...+you+will…18 An 'acetate' is just a studio copy CDR that the artist can use to see how the album would sound after the mixing/mastering has been accomplished and it can be used to determined if there may be problems with the selected mastering/mixes...if so they go back and fix the problems by using the CDR as the reference point.

Hi all, I had PMed trackaghost back but then I thought I should probably paste my thoughts on this in here, and though I'm flattered to be thought of in such high regard, I can't really confirm one way or the other on this. I don't really collect "everything" (i.e. each album in each format), wish I could but funds dictate to me that I can only afford one copy of each thing, if I can get it in CD, then I do, otherwise vinyl, then cassette as a last resort, and even then, I don't collect what I deem as "redundant" releases (for instance, once I got the "Enchanted" box, I traded in my "American Anthem" soundtrack because of the box set's inclusion of "Battle of the dragon"), I just try to get an item that has each studio and live version legally released that any of the 16 FM members play/sing on (though I also don't really collect remixes either, I'm more a versions kind of guy, though again if I had the money...).
Anyways, Hmm, I recall this debate going on before and I can't remember if anyone came up with anything or not like track was saying. I agree with trackaghost though, I don't think it ever was released on vinyl. If it was, I'd imagine it would have had to have been a Japanese limited edition pressing of some kind like they've been doing to try to get the Japanese buyers to buy from within the country rather than getting the "cheaper American imports". I know it sounds odd since we're always used to US/UK imports being more than the domestic issues but I understand that's what's been happening there in the last 10 years or so (that the US issues are cheaper than their domestic Japanese ones so the Japan distributors have been losing a lot of money and have been doing things like the limited edition vinyl and CD bonus tracks on Japan copies only as an incentive for the Japan consumers to "buy from within"). I know this doesn't really answer the question but my guess would be that it wasn't and that if it was, it had to have been a limited edition item (if one ever did exist), so therefore, not really a full blown release, but I'd be surprised if there was one in the first place. I'm certain it wouldn't have been a US or British issue in any case though, again like trackaghost said. If anyone reading this does have one, please scan it and/or provide details though, we'd love to hear about it! Hope this humble opinion helps anyways. John |

This sound silly but what about contacting anyone associated with the band.?Surely if it exists someone in the bands camp ( including the band) would know about it one would think.

Thanks John, if there is one I think you're right, it probably is a Japanese release. I'm just frustrated that I can't find evidence of it anywhere! I've found the album flats, the laserdisc but nothing about the vinyl. And it's not listed on Musicstack anymore... I hope someone does come forward to clear this thing up once and for all.

That is a very good idea about finding out from someone in the camp but does anyone here know how to realistically contact them? ...and even if we do, would we get a real answer? Quote:

I made three attempts at calling Warner Bros, and all they did was transfer me around until I reached voicemail oblivion. I guess they don't know either.
If anyone else wants to give it a shot, here's the number: 1-818-846-9090. The codes for getting through the first two voice option are 3....then 5...then its off to a different person everytime and then voicemail mazarama. Hey, I gave it a shot atleast.
