Default New Mick Fleetwood Album Due

Mick Fleetwood teams up not only with fellow Fleetwood Mac co-founder John McVie but former member Jeremy Spencer on "Something Big," the new album by the Mick Fleetwood Band. The set is due Sept. 27 in the U.K. on his own TallMan label via Sanctuary and a day later in North America.

The album showcases Fleetwood's latest protégé, co-producer/singer/guitarist Todd Smallwood, who handles most of the lead vocals. He also co-wrote all but one of the songs, a cover of Jackson Browne's "Looking Into You." Lauren Evans also sings on the set.

But the track "No Borders" will attract the most attention, since it features McVie, who like Fleetwood has been a constant member of Fleetwood Mac since 1967, as well as Spencer. The latter guitarist left the band abruptly in 1971 during an American tour, allegedly after telling his colleagues that he was "just popping out" to buy newspapers on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.

It later transpired that Spencer had joined the religious group the Children of God. The new recording marks Spencer's first studio reunion with Fleetwood and McVie since that time.

i have the album, well a burned copy...and its insanely horrible...but I didnt expect it to be much else. While the drums and bass are prominent, they are no more prominent than in a Fleetwood Mac album...Jeremy Spencer's guitar parts are blended right into the mix of everything else..

Theres no Mick commentary, rambling, poetry reading , spitting , or drum solos...which i cant say im upset about that. It just seems pointless, I dunno. Actually the songs arent horrible. I could understand it if Mick created a new band called THE MICK FLEETWOOD BAND, and had a SET band, but this is just various singers and people singing and playing
makes no sense
