I'm more angry with the 4 that have no balls. Shame on them for counting on Stevie to put out their artistry.

I understand wanting her, but she does not own FMac. Maybe Christine has lit a fire under their asses and they are listening.

I was just thinking about the quote that went with this image on her recent post...

'I find it hard to get excited by just a sound. I have to have a song there, then I'll find what I can make of that sound within the song...'

A wonder whether thats a light hearted dig at Lindsey. Christine likes to write the bare bones of a song first I think and then build the music around it. Whereas Lindsey notably likes to 'paint music'. He's less interested in the overall song and cares more about the sound and feel of the composition. I just wonder whether she's having a playful dig that Lindsey gets excited by little sounds that he discovers.

Otherwise the quote seems a bit random.

lol you are reading way too much into it. Christine probably just OKs the postings, if she even looks at them.

i do agree though that posting that 2.5 yo pic is probably meant as a sign that at least the 2 of them, if not others, are back in the studio.

Yes, quite probably. I was just imagining banter between them in the studio stemming from Lindsey boringly trying to explain a newly discovered sound or technique.

Probably shouldn't be bumping this when I was complaining about it... I think overall that Stevie is quite an easy target. There's her weird vocal style and her image, the strange lyrics etc. She gets away with it as possibly only Stevie could. Only just gets away with it at times. But it's also the reason why I love her so what the heck.

I liked how Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash had strong comebacks towards the end of their careers and would like to hope the same for FM. Though I don't know with all the egos and control freaks in the band. We shall see.

Lindsey and Christine do seem to have discovered a real musical partnership these days. She's perhaps the most down to earth person in the band so she is probably able to keep him in check - and he's also supposed to have mellowed. So it may work.

I have yet to see any signs of her being full of herself. Can you give an example?

I could probably point to something in every story she tells in between songs. I'm not going to do any transcribing though.

Yep, plus look at all the folks who have worked with her or raved about her... Tom Petty, Adam Levine, Courtney Love, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Don Henley, Macy Gray, Amy Grant, Kenny Loggins, Sheryl Crow, Blake Shelton, the Dixie Chicks, etc. Pretty damn impressive, the variety of folks who have worked with her or professed their admiration for her.

Stevie should probably just pull the plug on FM and focus on her solo work now. The current solo tour is ample evidence she has a large fan base, loves working solo, and is in better voice and energy than in the last decade or more. Hate her all you like, she serves herself and her fans much better running her own show.

Then she should come out and say that directly instead of purposefully avoiding it and giving fans false hope.

I don't understand why it's so hard for her to just say it if she really doesn't want to be part of FM. It's really not that complex...

agree, hope she does that and exits the band. she's so much happier and gives more to her fans solo.

I agree completely. Let her leave the band and do her own thing. Hope the door doesn't hit her in the ass on her way out...
