I still haven't got an email from Amazonuk that it's in route. It's been in the "Shipping Today" status for 2 days.

I'm just going to listen to the free mp3 auto rip from Amazon till my physical copy gets here. Going to be a FM Mirage kinda weekend!

Me neither. This is even worse than the CDs of Kiln House and Future Games coming out without writer credits. Here you don't even get them when you put the disc in the computer.

I have further quibbles with the packaging (am halfway into Disc 1 at present). Below is the comment I made in the FM Fanatics group on Facebook:

Just bought the Mirage remaster (2-disc edition). Sounds OK so far but a few quibbles with the packaging.

1. There are NO writing credits for the tracks on the bonus disc!!! OK so a lot of them are of stuff we know already but for previously unheard tracks (and there are a few) surely we should be entitled to them.

2. Larry Vigon's awesome penguin drawing has been miniaturised and reverted to grey on black outline.

3. The liner notes - chats with Mick, Lindsey and Stevie about the recording but no questions about the songs and their inspirations or how Chris came to work with writers like Robbie Patton on the album.

4. Also nothing about how the title, cover design etc came about. Come on Warners, I expect more for my bob than this when I buy a deluxe edition.

I am loving the early version of Empire State. He's trying to capture the sound of the city. I wish we could have heard a little more of that in the finished version. Fleetwood Mac sounds delightfully pop punk in this version.
I'm massively bummed out at the version of Smile At You that was used. Does the band/Ken not know what the fans consider to be the definitive version of that song? Do they hate it or something?

Music aside, I am still in love with the front and back cover photos, even with the old woman's face!

I want to scream.
I got the email from Amazon at lunch time today to say it had been delivered and taken in by my next door neighbour.
I excitedly rushed home.
Aaaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the neighbours have been out all evening.

Is the only way to get the Live CD by buying the 3CD+LP+DVD set?

I loooove the alternate versions of That's Alright and Empire State!

Wow!! I love the alt version of Only Over You!!

The piano is gorgeous. That distorted guitar is evil. What a contrast. Love this!

I always loved the live version of Eyes of the World so much better than the tentative, formulated studio version.

Old woman's face?

Mind you I always did think Chris and Stevie's tops matched very nicely against that black background.

I've got mine - I'm on the train and headed home with it. I'm very excited to hear it on my stereo, especially those live tracks. I know The Chain is going to sound amazing!
