But after nabbing her Lifetime Achievement gong, returning member Christine McVie, 70, told me: “If Michael Eavis provides the wellies I’ll be there.” She added: “We are making new music right now. It’s half done, then the world tour starts in September.”

I hope this happens. I think it would really help cement the Mac's legendary status with younger generations, and prove to the world they're back now that Christine has returned.

Her return is huge. She's written and co-written a ton of music. She's receiving a lifetime achievement award. She seems to have Lindsey excited and he wants a double album, and she's interacting with the media and fans. She can put Fmac back on the map if they market right.

This is super exciting! Even Stevie has been hinting that it will happen soon - so I think next Summer is DEFINITELY when it will happen. Especially because they said they hope to have the album out before summer next year. It would be the perfect time.
Plus imagine how ICONIC that will be. |

NME now also has the same story, giving it much more publicity -
Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie: 'We'll do Glastonbury if Michael Eavis provides the wellies' Singer also confirms the band are now halfway through recording a new album Photo: Getty Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie has said that the band are open to playing Glastonbury in the future. The singer, who rejoined the band full time earlier this year, said she would be more than happy to play the festival if they were asked. She told The Daily Star: "If Michael Eavis provides the wellies I'll be there." McVie also confirmed that the band are halfway through making a new album. "We are making new music right now," she added. "It's half done, then the world tour starts in September." Of the recording sessions, Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham said earlier this year: "The chemistry was just unbelievable. We're all very excited about the new music. Knowing me I'm going to be pushing hard for a double album." Fleetwood Mac spent two months at Village Recorder studio in Los Angeles, working in the same room in which they recorded their 1979 album 'Tusk'. The band released an EP in 2013, called 'Extended Play', which only reached only No 125 on the UK album chart. Read more at http://www.nme.com/news/fleetwood-ma...bGHYXPgMqlm.99

Maybe I'll go to UK and see them over in Scotland or just wait here like a patetico Australian. Excuse my Italian. Pathetic of me just sitting her waiting for the band. I need to go see them O/S They aren't coming here, are they? Why would the Mac go to Australia? We are the last item on their agenda, an afterthought. I'll see P!nk instead, Australians are her bread and butter. She played 50 Australian shows last year. Fleetwood Mac played zero, even the ones booked? Only what, 12? We started with 15, down to 12, then 10 then NONE Australians will always miss out because of our geographical location and proximity to nothing. Middle of nowhere and small population, floating towards the Antarctic. |

What is a wellie?
I'm guessing it's a term for drinks?

My parents are just about to catch a 19hour flight back from Perth to the UK after visiting my sister. Its a long, long way. I used to do the UK-Sydney route, nearly 24 hours It is worth it though, I love Australia and really miss it sometimes.
