Sorry, I should have said, you ladies

I do remember towards the end of her time with FM someone asked her about S&L ever getting back together and she burst everyone's bubble with a not so nice seeming, never going to happen type answer. Wonder if she's the one who didn't approve in Everybody Finds Out?
If Lindsey had said she meddled at that time, it would have changed the entire trajectory of fan conversation for all these years. Altered the course of history -- or, at least, of gossip. First of all, that comment of his would have come up every single time Christine's departure from the band was mentioned. Secondly, it would validate everyone's suspicion that Stevie and Lindsey had an affair in 1997, which was interrupted by Kristen's pregnancy.

If Lindsey had made such a comment, it would not be forgotten. It would be oft-repeated and cited with the reverence of The Ten Commandments among fan discussions.

While I often think of Christine's forgiveness lyrics and wonder if they have to do with Stevie and Lindsey (i.e. she's not trapped in the middle of her own affair, but in the drama of theirs), I do not think Lindsey or anyone else saying that she interfered with his and Stevie's relationship would have slipped through the cracks of the fans' collective memory.

Except in song lyrics, he has never acknowledged that he and Stevie had anything to break up or meddle in, in 1997.

You are joking, right? Gotta say, I for one don't think the call girl line is funny, not because it's Stevie but because it's just ugly...just saying.

Honestly, I don't see Stevie being a call girl by any stretch of the imagination.

Ladies?

As the song says...
I'm a U.S. Male, I was born in a little Alabama town
on a Sunday morn...

Stevie - Call Girl

That might be a little bit of an exaggeration on my part.

Maybe I should read the entire exchange before commenting because I do love my off-color humor.

Uh, I guess you could call me new, Elle, but I just don't see any humor in the call girl comments. If I'm missing something, ok...I'm just gonna bypass them tho. That's my prerogative and his to continue the line, but it's kind of like that coke up the butt thing. I can just see Stevie's face when asked:

Interviewer, "Were you a call girl at some point in your past?"

Stevie Nicks, "No, idiot, I'm a rock and roll singer, I just liked having sex and I did it for free!"

..

^ Desiree that's worse than anything I wrote!

I mean what's worse, being a whore or a slut?

And I am not saying Stevie was either.

You did make me laugh though.

The interview part was exaggerated, of course, I doubt she'd call an interviewer an idiot to his face, even tho I'd bet she's wanted too! But, in all seriousness, I try not to call people names or judge them for that matter. We're all human and we all do bad things we regret and most of us know it and don't need to be called out a for it. I certainly fit that bill. Sorry, not preaching either...although it sounds like it!

I could imagine Stevie saying that!

Yes, a good sense of humor always helps.
