The worst part is that I know better.

Try rubbing your hands against some stainless steel (your sink?) while running cold water over them. It works for onions, garlic, etc.

Funny you should say that. After I posted I tried something similar. I put about a tablespoon of salt in my hand and then added rubbing alcohol and used it like a suagr scrub. The two together seemed to provide more relief than the alcohol alone.

This morning the burn is mostly gone, thankfully, and surprisingly my hands aren't red or chafed.

I had the same thought his morning on the train while riding to work. I don't know if it would have w0rked, but I would have tried anyway.

That sounds awesome, not the sick part. Oh my, she ate all that knowing she was going on a coaster? LOL brave.

I felt mega ill half way around but i carried on. Trooper that I am.. :') The journey home was terrible all the way i was like Amy.. i'm going to be sick.. Amy i'm going to be sick. I wasn't thank god but ohmygod it was terrible.

The pictures of us on the rides were so funny aswell.. on Rita I looked like Joan Rivers. Such a fun day though, I haven't gone in college today either because i can't talk properly and feel rough.

It's amazing what a good job drinking Horlicks in bed whilst reading Snape fanfiction does in making you feel better after a bad day. I rarely get into bed before 3am, so this is pure indulgence to me

I was planning on buying the new James Morrison album today, since it was released in the UK yesterday - only to find out that we don't get it State-side until October 11 (unless I want to buy it on iTunes).

Gah. Now I know how the UK Stevie fans feel.

And the UK Lindsey fans. It was hell watching the American fans discuss the album while I was there, murmuring "I don't know what you're talking about! " lol. It was certainly worth the wait, and I hope the album you're waiting for will be for you.

It's a hot Malted Milk drink. It's supposed to help you sleep, but as with anything that has sugar involved, I'm wired after my mug lol.

Well yes, but not a fun topic for conversation!

In other GL related news, my company sponsors an Artists in Residence program and today's performer was Laura Bell Bundy (she played Reva and Josh's daughter, Marah). I was too busy to go see her sing, unfortunately. It's probably just as well on her end as I would have bombarded her with questions about Kim Zimmer! But really, how random!

You probably already know this but Kim reprised her role on OLTL as Echo DeSavoy. The show hasn't utilized her as much as you would think they would.
