worst stevie lyrics evahhhhhh!!!

Okay, this has probably been posted already too, but perhaps you feel like beating a dead horse?

Worst Stevie Lyrics:

"I remember him
He was very young
No one spoke like him
He was someone"

I nearly barf every time I hear those words. And the fact that she OPENS the Trouble in Shangri-La album with that kills me!

Another one that drives me crazy is...
"Love is very powerful"

Stevie? Seriously? You can do better than that! I do love that woman though!

Really? I <3 those lyrics.....reminds me of a boy I once dated.

I dislike:

-"Children of the world, the forgotten chimpanzee"

-Desert Angel...the whole damn song

-"I want to fly through the world in a golden ball"

-TMMS chorus

She started a whole album with
"you can ride high atop your pony,
i know you won't fall,
cuz the whole thing's phony"
..............what a silly word to rhyme with pony

yup! The fact that she integrated the word chimpanzee into a song is pretty awful! I don't know. I'm still not a fan of "I remember him, he was very young..." It just doesn't have a good flow to it. Sounds awkward.

Another doozie is:

"It hurts my self esteem. It hurts my everything. I am reeling. Ooh, it hurts my feelings!"

Barffffff!!!

ChrystalGypsey 03-21-2005 12:18 AM

"everything he loved, he left at the fair"
from at the fair
what does this mean? he left a stuffed dog he won? his circus-folk girlfriend? what????

ChrystalGypsey 03-21-2005 12:20 AM

from all the beautiful worlds:
"Don't give that to her, baby give that to me"

I swear I wrote this in a song when I was 10 years old....

There's a ton, IMO, but here's one I just recently noticed and it made me cringe.
"And your face becomes thin - You never thought it could"

Another one I love. But when it comes to me, I love everything Stevie writes (expect Desert Angel  )....

"I am a cliff dweller, from the old school" is fairly bad, but it fits so well into the song that I have grown to love that line! :D

How atrocious.

I'd be here all night typing in awful lyrics. They're more abundant than the zits on Hootchie Spears' face.

I know, you just have to do what pops into your head. I happening to be getting better aquainted with BD these days.

Pretty much all of That Made Me Stronger and Desert Angel.

"Street angels live on the street and they always will." (Though the rest of the song is good)

all the same 03-21-2005 12:25 AM

Hilarious!!!

How about :

"Welllllllll... I talked to my famous friend last night.
My first night up... well, his second nighter."

My famous friend? Seriously? Famous? Why famous?

GypsySorcerer 03-21-2005 12:26 AM

"It's just like a river, it's never ending" is pretty bad, as is the "you can't have him" stuff in EFO.

ChrystalGypsey 03-21-2005 12:27 AM

There's a line from ghosts that I don't make any sense out of:
of course I looked it up, and I was singing it wrong for years...that always happens-- you sing whatever lyrics you thing she's saying, although....

To feel the empty spaces she's feeling
She depends on her music like a husband

Makes little sense...why feel what she's already feeling?

That's a classic. Another Classic, in a song I love is "well, she dances around in a circle, well" Is there a name for double self parodying?
