I just read that Mick Fleetwood Will also be playing on a song with Dolly Parton. Interestingly enough, out of all the musicians they listed, such as Cher, Stevie, Pat Benatar, Brandi Carlisle, Pink, Paul McCartney, etc, Mick is the only non-singing musician listed. Well, Ringo Starr, too.

Apparently the name Fleetwood still carries some weight in the music biz! The obvious assumption is Mick will be playing on the song that Stevie and Dolly are working on, but we’ll see.

Songs listed included Stairway to Heaven, Purple Rain, Freebird, and Open Arms.

So it is all remakes. Dolly already did Stairway to Heaven on one of her excellent Bluegrass albums. I wonder if Stevie will be croaking along to Purple Rain since she claims that Prince offered it to her first.

There will be some original songs on the album as well- Dolly sang a new rock song at her RRHOF induction.

Gotcha. I figured the clips or whatever those are on the back of Dolly’s head gave it away at last.

My comment was not about wigs or extensions but more about being aware of how the whole head looks. Whoever posted a photo of these two ladies from behind in the studio… did them dirty.

I remember when I was little and I learned that Dolly had fake boobs (she also famously said nearly everything on her was fake) and I was shocked — shocked.

Almost as good as Stevie’s other version of a Dolly song: “And heeeee will always love herrrrr”

I love Dolly Parton. She is part of the American fabric. Can anyone imagine a United States without Dolly? I can't.

Since this is the photo that was posted, imagine what they looked like from the front! And I don't blame them - I wouldn't want to get all dolled up and camera ready just for a long day in the studio either!

Pretty much every celebrity with long hair has extensions. Except Stevie, apparently, as I doubt they make extensions with that texture. If that's all her real hair, that's a sign of good health (getting all those vitamins) especially for a woman of her age.

I hope Stevie and Dolly sing SOUL MAN by Sam and Dave, LOTTA LOVE by Neil Young, CALIFORNIA DREAMING by John Phillips, GAMES WITHOUT FRONTIERS by Peter Gabriel, GET IT WHILE YOU CAN by Howard Tate, OH NO NOT MY BABY by Maxine Brown, UMBRA by Karnivool, or SENSUAL SEDUCTION by Snoop Dogg. Any of these would be dreamy.

I have long predicted that she will be the last one standing of the five.

I read yesterday that the song they worked on was called "Bittersweet", an original from Dolly.

Let's try and guess which one of them is bitter and which one is sweet.

I predict it will be a ballad, even though this is a rock and roll album. On the other hand, it may be a rock and roll song, since this is a rock and roll album. It may be the lead single, too, unless they use one of the other songs as a lead single.
