the only one that beats it is Lindsey with Little Big Town - both versions are amazing, but LB/ LBT version has Lindsey's amazing guitar solo on top of fantastic harmonies.

nah. Highwomen are great! as long as they leave their Stevie mentions behind. had a pleasure of seeing Sheryl live this summer and joining in the boos after her saying "Stevie, you know - she is great, right?"

It’s well-executed, even pretty, but unexceptional. It doesn’t haunt me or make me shiver—and that’s the FM version standard.

I couldn't agree more. It's un-moving.

Agreed. The vocals and harmonies are great. But it needs a driving base line and the hard hitting guitar of LB. Acoustic guitars and violin don't cut it.

There was a segment on Stern today about this performance last week. The fan mail was overwhelming how good the performance was.
They are a country band so you cant compare it to the Mac's version. I like the violin twist in the song.

What I wish I could post was the group's parody about the Stern show made from The Chain. Now that was fall out of your chair funny. Hope someone posts it to youtube.
